About the Hotel

In the bucolic heart of South Tuscany, where the scent off the aromatic olive groves meets the briny fragrance of the Mediterranean Sea, sits L'Andana hotel, a picturesque estate lovingly restored and presented by the celebrated Alain Ducasse Group in conjunction with the architectural masterminds of the Terra Morretti Group. L'Andana sits atop the rolling hills of the countryside as a living tribute to the region's past. Set in a building that was once a summer estate of Grand Duke Leopold II and his court, the 33-room estate graciously embraces the past in design and detail, while offering contemporary facilities and amenities. Awash in romantic reds and tantalizing tans and golds, the rooms and suites of L'Andana welcome visitors with a hint of summer no matter what the season. Alternating textures of smooth leather, soft velvet, and strong wood create subtle nuances of emotion that combine to produce a romantic getaway in each intimate living space. All rooms offer views of the countryside, luxurious Florentine silk fabrics, and delightful stone fireplaces built in the traditional Tuscan style. Modern touches along the grounds, like the hauntingly romantic wrought-iron and glass Winter Garden permeate the traditional landscape, creating an intense visual experience that is both sensual and elegant.

Reviews for L'Andana

Pristine property, close to the coast and 1/3 the price of equivalent properties. MUST visit

The PICS do not even vaguely capture how nice this property is. It FAR, far exceeded our expectations. the property is stunning and meticulously maintained. It is SO close to the coast yet you feel you wonderfully insulated from everything. Our room was amazing and, for the money, I was shocked. I looked at other Tuscan wine resorts that wanted 4 to 5X/night more than this property. We will certainly be back in the Fall. The restaurants were stellar and the food wonderful. We ate on property multiple times. If the aforementioned were not Enough, the staff were THE most attentive and caring of any I can recall in 40 years of travel. A special shout out to the restaurant manager, Marco. They were slightly short staffed coming into season (the full staff was arriving as we were leaving) so Marco worked the floor the entire time and was Amazing, just Amazing. Other words escape me. He accommodated all of our requests with incredible vigor and genuine passion and a sincere friendliness. Additionally, I watched he, and one of his servers Paula (who was Incredible as well) deal with a very snooty and down right rude couple. This couple repeatedly spoke down to Paula and Marco and ran them ragged, chasing down this and that and sending things back repeatedly (we all know the type). All the while, both of them not only kept their composure, the handled the whole nasty affair with grace and professionalism. Not once showing their displeasure. It was SO bad my wife and I were just about to step in. when I brought it up to Marco later he just laughed it off. Class personified!!! I only wish I had a business where I could utilize the likes of Marco and Paula. I would "steal" them away SO fast. WELL done L'Andana!!!! Across the board FIVE stars

The hotel was absolutely lovely. The food and drinks we incredible and the service was excellent. My mother and I visited together and we enjoyed some really great spa treatments as well. We also did the wine tasting at the winery on the property which was a great experience, the wine and lunch there were fantastic. Luigi the restaurant GM really went out of his way to make sure that we were having a great experience and it was much appreciated. Everyone at the hotel was truly lovely and we would love to stay here again in the future.

L'Andana is a true gem, and staying there was an absolute treat: beautiful surroundings, very comfortable accommodations, exceptional service, and great food! We had a very relaxing time at the resort.

Wonderful stay

The service was incredible. Special treats on our anniversary were a highlight. We had a wonderful time. I refuse to add more to the review to meet your ridiculous 200 character minimum. This requirement is absurd.

Worth a visit

The staff was really friendly and wonderful. The grounds are gorgeous. Food was delicious. Fun area of Tuscany with lots to do. My one “complaint” is that the decor is very dated and the property could use an update. But when you’re shaded by ancient Italian pines and cypresses, furniture matters less.
