A perfect place to enjoy and relac

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 18 hours ago

We were in a “ Sunset Water Villa with infinity pool” and it was fantastic! To see the sunset from the pool it was an exrtaordinary moment Several restaurants to have lunch and dinner, bars where to enjoy a cocktail in front of the sea admiring the sunset But the most exceptional thing is the kindness and excellent service of the entire staff. Manafaru has been the perfect place to spend a few relaxing days!

Wonderful whatever the Weather!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Just returned after 9 wonderful nights on Manafaru, all the positive reviews below are what we experienced, as I know sometimes when you see just 1 contribution by a poster it might make you dubious, but please do not, it is as commented. Whilst they do not have a dedicated seaplane waiting lounge, the VIP lounge used was very good and could not fault it, including complementary light bites and refreshments. We stayed in an over water villa on sunset side of the 500 jetty, the rooms are spacious, plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the coolness of the air conditioning on the particularly hot days. We were looked after from arrival to departure by the ever-attentive Mangal, who would arrange whatever you wanted and on time exactly when picking you up, when you feel its too far to walk to the restaurants. He was knowledgeable and pleasant, did not make us feel uncomfortable, but there if needed. They are planning to go through a refurbishment of the rooms, not that they are not good now, but updating features that will make it even better. Our weather was mixed some scorching hot days, water like glass then some thunder and lightning, with some surf worthy waves! However whatever the weather, there is plenty to do, whether that’s the Spa, managed by the delightful Rita, lounging on the Infinity Pool deck (Just under the shade of the palm trees is perfect) looked after by Dharshana, who made delightful Coconut Milkshakes and mocktails to order. We preferred the older sunbed cushions as they were softer, the new ones a tad firm for us, possible will soften with use. Might not seem a holiday thing to do but there is an area called Recreation, where you can see the cultural aspects of the Maldives and the ocean, a pleasant way to learn, whilst holidaying. My wife decided to make every opportunity count, including the 6.15 am yoga sessions, with Rahuul, what a way to start your day, which gave me an extra 1 hour in bed, before heading off for a slow leisurely breakfast. On other days she used the well-equipped gym, overlooking the ocean and if you are early enough you might just see a glimpse of senior management. We did some excursions, the dolphin trip was good, although not many came to say hello and the snorkelling was curtailed as a storm came in, both events affect by nature, so understandably not control over that. Kitty at the dive centre was a delight and no issue about borrowing all your snorkelling needs, no need to bring you own, unless you want to. We tried all the restaurants, which were good in their own way, our favourite was the Ocean Grill, not just fish but some excellent meats too. There were 3 themed nights, Fish, Asian street food, but the best experience was the Maldivian night, it took away all the stress of thinking what you might like to order, as they bring you every dish! We thought we might struggle, which we did, but to savour all the different dishes was unique and something we would not have chosen to do, which made the experience even better. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, so also booked the cellar one evening, which again was very different, even if you do not wish to eat there, there is a visit you can take to view it. Our evening was looked after by Nim, who was professional, but also happy to chat informally. As mentioned, I had lovely extended breakfasts whilst waiting for my more energetic half to arrive and was looked after by all the staff  who were expertly managed by the omnipresent Mark, who popped up everywhere, other mentions must go to Shaamill (Barry White), Treasure (Fish), Rosa, Kristina, Ashraf, Ishmail and Pranita, sorry for those I might of missed. In general, they were a fairly youthful team, but had that mix of professionalism, humour, chattiness and happy to talk about where they all come from, which I find interesting, its amazing how much you do not know about the rest of the world. So in conclusion a wonderful resort with a mix of over water, beach and tropical areas, great dining options and an engaged team throughout, all to keep you entertained whatever the weather. I just come back from this beautiful hotel. We spent amazing holidays with my daughter. From the first minute in the island you feel like you are in paradise. Our Butler Mangal was so kind with us and very helpful, he organised a doctor for me, when I need it, all what I needed and wanted was done very quickly. Mangal organised for us perfectly way back to Male, very comfortable, where other people take care of us. Mangal, thank you very much ❤️. We stay in Beach villa, accommodation was very comfortable and spacious. Access to the ocean is perfect!! Beautiful beaches around all island. Food is very tasty, amazing breakfast!! The best restaurant is Ocean Grill. It was the best Sea barbecues I’ve ever had in Maldives, very impressed. All staff are very friendly. Dive center is very good, guys are very attentive . A lot of activities. I expected more from House reefs, but if you really like snorkelling and for you it’s very important, I suggest just take a boat trip for near wild island, where you will have an amazing snorkelling!! I will sure comeback to this hotel!!

JA ....book here!!

Where to start...from the moment our group arrived, we felt the immediate attention of all the staff. Initially, I thought it was because we were a fun loving group of 8, but I noticed ALL the guests were involved equally. The intent for personalized service was certainly experienced by everyone on the island. The F&B Director Mark, was always 2 steps ahead of us, and his professional manner reached into all departments. The Chef, Moosa is a proud Maldivian, who loved sharing his culinary roots. Each meal was done with passion and pride. The servers, while initially reserved, showed their personalities thru the week. You can tell the staff really cares, is well trained, and would not hesitate to book here again. Jason the GM always kept an eye out, and was present daily.
