A true treat for a special occasion or just because. My near water bungalow was amazing. Its quite a walk up to the lobby area but they have 24 hour golf cart service. I loved the wide open spaces and no crowds. There is a lovely gallery/gift ship near the lobby and about 4 more across the road near the PO and restaurant. The staff was so pleasant and engaging. Infinitity pool wonderful with a nice snack bar. Several family fun game/sporting acitivities on site.

Hana Maui Resort used to be the most beautiful Oasis of a prperty, Nestled in the Jungle of the Hana side of Maui. It was an amazing place to rest and lay your head after making the journey along the Hana Highway. Sadly, not anymore. The grounds have suffered and the units have aged terribly. What was once a bustly on site restaurant and bar are now empty rooms filled with old tables and chairs. The individual rooms have suffered as well. The paint chipping from walls and fixtures in the rooms and bathrooms with Paint overpainted on them. a little time and painters tape or clean up could have fixed all . As long time previous guests, we were simply disappointed. Please someone save this gorgeous property and bring it back to it;s orginal grandeur.

Amazing location, no TV, no golf, just peace and quiet in a tropical paradise. Wonderful food trucks neaby, the back side of Haleakala 9 miles aways and jsut a delightful place to be.

This is a wonderful place to stay! It is old Hawaii, the rooms are spacious, and although the decor is 1990's and could use a little maintenance, the atmosphere is friendly and warm. The staff are welcoming and helpful with any need. The hotel is in the heart of town, and walkable to most everything, including some of the most breathtaking, mostly unoccupied beaches. The breakfast menu is extensive, and served in the ocean and flower view dining room. All the food we ate was delicious. The grounds are lovely with a variety of tropical plants and flowers. In Hawaii, most food and other supplies are shipped or flown in and therefore more expensive than on the mainland. Hana is a beautiful, tiny, isolated town supported economically by this hotel and the public school. Staying here provides employment for residents, and support for families. This is my favorite place in Hawaii, and my favorite place we've stayed in so far.

The title, Heavenly Experience, sums up our experience from the moment we arrived through the lingering memories we took with us. The town of Hāna has a beautiful tranquility about it (I have been visiting for about 15 years) and Hana-Maui Resort has captured its very essence and delivers pampered ALOHA spirit to its guests. While pictures can speak a thousand words…and it’s a stunning property, Hana-Maui has to be experienced (along with a few spa services/massages) to be understood and appreciated. Already looking at our calendars for our next visit!
