Hana-Maui Resort

Beautiful resort, spacious grounds. Staff incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful (most of whom are local residents, from what one of the staff told us). Stayed in one of the bungalows. It was a little dated (table top was a little sticky like the resin was wearing down, outdoor furniture a little weather-beaten, bathroom tiles were older), but very spacious, clean, comfortable. There wasn't a tv, but that was more a plus than a con (for us at least). The bathroom was large, with several dresser drawers, large soaking tub and shower room. This was clearly a luxury resort, it just needs a refresh. Spending a few days in the Hana area, this was a really great location. Food options in the area close pretty early, so plan accordingly, especially if you're going to check in later than 5:00. The Ranch restaurant was probably open the latest. We had dinner there one night and it was quite good. The food trucks were really good. Breakfast menu items were all tasty. Grounds lighting was a little iffy at night. There was very little noise and the expansiveness of the property made it feel like it wasn't crowded at all. I liked that they had a fillable water bottle station, but wish they had it in more locations than just the lobby. There was one lot for guest parking across the street, which was a little far away from the bungalows. The shuttle/bell service was great when we had our luggage to deal with, and we liked walking so we didn't use it otherwise during our stay and it wasn't a big deal, but sometimes you just need to pop in and out of your room on your way out. The little market was great. Didn't get a chance to try out the spa or the yoga/meditation services. Overall a wonderful stay and any criticism is through the lens of what I would expect from a luxury destination resort.

Just wow! It was our first time in Maui and we wanted to stay in Hana to hike Pipiwai trail and visit black sand beach. The resort is beautiful but the best part is the staff! We flew into Hana airport from Kahului, and the resort sent someone to pick us up. From pick up to drop off, everyone was truly so friendly and welcoming. Ka’ala at the front desk was very accommodating and very patient with us as she answered all our questions on how to best plan our day. We originally had a room with a garden view and were upgraded to a partial ocean view which was beautiful! Seeing the ocean and hearing the waves when you first wake up is a truly relaxing experience. It’s a bit hard to get around the resort since it’s so big but the staff are willing to bring you anywhere you want to go with their golf carts. Would definitely recommend staying here if planning a trip to Hana!

Most relaxing, peaceful place we've ever stayed. Gorgeous oceanfront setting, rich amenities and caring staff. Location allows for complete immersion within the resort and excursions (walk to nearby food and stores; drive to sites, national park and hiking). The drive to Hana is demanding, especially the lower road. The adventure added to our enjoyment!

We loved this property! The staff was fantastic- all so friendly. Lovely property with great amenities - pool, gym, tennis and pickle ball courts. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. It's not a fancy hotel but it's beautiful, quiet and peaceful.

We greatly enjoyed our time at the Hana-Maui Resort. The pool/hot tub view was great and poolside dining did not disappoint.
