Hana-Maui Resort

The resort itself is quaint and beautiful, with charming bungalow-style rooms that give it a really unique and relaxing feel. We had a mixed experience at this hotel. Our stay started off stressful when our scheduled airport pickup didn’t arrive. We had provided our flight information days in advance, so this was surprising. After landing, we had to use the airport phone to track someone down (there was no cell service), and transportation did eventually arrive—but this really shouldn’t have been an issue to begin with. The location is stunning. We were upgraded for our honeymoon, which was a very kind and appreciated gesture. Unfortunately, the upgraded room had construction happening directly on our balcony throughout the day, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy the space. Additionally, the hot tub was under construction during our stay, which was not mentioned on the website or at check-in. One evening, staff offered to cover two dinners and waive the resort fees to make up for the inconveniences, which we thought was a thoughtful solution. However, by checkout, that offer changed—our second dinner was deemed “too expensive,” and they offered to waive parking (even though we didn’t have a car). The inconsistency was frustrating, and the interaction left us feeling uncomfortable for even bringing up the issues. Overall, the staff did make attempts to resolve things, but the lack of communication and follow-through impacted our stay. With better coordination and clearer handling of guest concerns, this could have been a much more enjoyable experience.

My family and I stayed here for our spring break. We were a party of 10, with young children and aging parents. The resort was perfect for all - The kids loved bicycling around and having proximity to the local market and obviously the swimming pools. My parents enjoyed having the option of walking to and from places or having the golf cart transportation. Well my husband and I enjoyed services from the spa- The surrounding community was very welcoming, and all of our interactions with the staff were impressive - Shout out to Lexi! We will definitely be back! The only negative was that both hot tubs were out of commission during our stay-

The resort facilities and room accommodations were fabulous. However, we were disappointed that there were not more healthy spa cuisine menu items, such as plant-based, vegan/vegetarian choices on the menu. We were thinking that the Hana-Maui Resort was more of a health resort, even in its restaurant menus. The swimming pools, wellness center classes, exercise and fitness center. Spa services, were great, but the menus at the restaurant were lacking when it comes to a healthy and nutrition food.

Beware the hidden fees this hotel doesn't tell you about at check in. Was surprised to get a $300 bill on my way out! That's shady business.

What a beautiful resort! One of our all time favorite resorts. The employees were lovely, pools stunning and grounds are immaculate.
