Has serious sound pollution issues and ocean bungalow had shower and toilet leak the entire stay and did not get fixed. During the sound meditation and yoga, it defeats the purpose to have extremely loud grass mowing and trimming going on. This went on every day during 5 day stay. Additionally, the hotel hosted a wedding on 6/25/26 outside in the pool area in the middle of the resort and didn't tell us as guests that the entire resort reception had thumping loud music throughout the resort until 10pm at night. This is a place that charges a premium for peace and relaxation. After us and many other guests complained nothing was done. The excuse was you are not the only ones complaining from the front desk. Also, advertised boogie board and snorkeling equipment are not available. I even called prior to stay to confirm they had equipment and confirmed with front desk during stay that they had equipment. The concierge is the one who hands out the equipment and located about 10 feet from the front desk and walked over to pick up and was told they never carry that type of equipment. Would be good to know this prior to going so we can bring our own. The view and the rest of Hana is beautiful and this was our second stay after staying here many years ago. It was great many years ago, but the resort is now in disrepair and the rooms are extremely dated as well. You do get free water and coffee. The staff are very nice otherwise.

The resort captures the charm of old Hawaii, with stunning views of the mountains, manicured lawns, and the ocean. Its remote Maui location provides a peaceful retreat, and the predominantly local staff deliver warm, attentive service. A car is highly recommended, as it allows you to make the most of both the resort and the surrounding area.

We only stayed one night but the Hana Maui Resort exceeded expectations. We had an ocean front bungalow and our family was in awe. The service was excellent, the grounds were beautiful, the amenities looked terrific, and Lucinda gave us wonderful service at breakfast. The delicious food and the view from the patio was a wonderful way to start the day before driving the Road to Hana. Must stay!

Special place in a remote and peaceful part of Maui. Serene atmosphere with well appointed, clean and comfy rooms. The Malie soaps and lotions are amazing. A little pricey but feels luxurious in an otherwise rugged environment.

This is a beautiful resort. It is very calm. The staff was friendly and seemed genuinely interested in ensuring we enjoyed our stay. There is no need to rush to the pool to reserve chairs before you go to breakfast. In fact, we often had the pool to ourselves till lunch. There is an onsite breakfast room with a lovely view and nice menu and an onsite restaurant that serves lunch and dinner. Lunch is also available at the pool bar. There are also food trucks nearby, and we found the food there to be quite good. We stayed in an ocean villa and found it to be very comfortable. Our deck was a nice spot to watch the sunrise, enjoy the ocean views, or admire the stars. There are no TVs in the rooms, but if you really want to watch the World Cup or another event, there is a TV in the library and in the restaurant. We had planned to do some exploring but ended up just enjoying the resort instead. It was very relaxing and a great spot to enjoy the beauty of Hāna.
