The road to Hana is a doozy! I highly suggest staying a couple of days so you can enjoy that part of the island. The oceanfront bungalows are absolutely great. Very comfortable beds and linen, prompt service and the breakfast on site is wonderful. We even had them delivered to the room one morning and that was really great. They could definitely up their game at the Ranch restaurant. We actually ate at the food trucks one night and that was wonderful. I would definitely stay there again and enjoy more of that side of the island. It’s much more adventurous and natural and much less crowded.

Room was clean. Bed was nice but other furniture was pretty dated. Beautiful serene property great for relaxing. Luxurious saltwater pool with gorgeous view, but no hot tub. Food was a bit of a problem for me as menus are limited and I'm a picky eater. Prices are high for not many options. Don't eat spicy or seafood so found it hard to feel nutritionally balanced. They also don't tell you that there will be "preauthorized holds" on your bank account for food charges to your room. Had $368 of holds for food pending on my bank acct that apparently take 7-10 business days to "fall off" AFTER checkout, in addition to also having to pay for them in-full upon with my invoice at checkout. Now my bank acct is in negative from these holds, incurring overdraft fees. Wish someone would have told me they would do this. I would have paid debit card instead of charging the food to my room since I was expecting to be able to use the money post-trip. A huge inconvenience. I won't say not to stay there - the grounds are beautiful and Hana truly is an incredibly relaxing place to stay! But my husband and I (who live on Maui) won't be staying here again.

I loved this resort. We immediately felt welcomed and well taken care of during our stay. We were able to quickly deprogram and start an amazing stay at Hana-Maui Resort.

After our road trip reaching Hana we had the once in a lifetime experience of staying in this beautiful resort. Where to start? Amazing views, our maybe I shouldn't call it a view because the beautiful beach is right there in front of your door step. The rooms themselves apart very nice style. The amazing staff was friendly and helpful every moment of our stay Really unforgettable experience.

Have stayed at several resorts in Wailea and West Maui over the years. Hana Hyatt however delivers an experience that is…restorative. The relaxing vibes of the property, the spacious and open air rooms, proximity to red sand beach and more is truly special. Two or three nights at least are needed to experience all the property has to offer. The food options are sparse in Hana outside of the Hana Ranch Restaurant. If you are looking for a truly relaxing vacation, this is the spot. Flying to Hana from OGG is a nice touch as well.
