My family just finished up 4 nights at this fantastic resort. So many positive things to include , here are a few key standouts. The resort is set on magnificent grounds. Hydrangeas everywhere. The landscaping is so beautiful. We were a group of 8 which included 2 kids ages 9 and 7. They give kids a special plastic card at check in that entitles them to a special gift , unlimited drinks , and coffee for their parents everyday. Really cute touch. There is a lap pool for adults only where no one under 16 is allowed. Very relaxing. There is also a main pool where you will find tons of families and kids. They had plenty of pool toys and goggles which was a nice touch. The pool bathrooms were always very clean but think they should put better air fresheners in them. They were never dirty but they never smelled fresh like all the other bathrooms on the property. There is a small beach where you can throw a football or rent a sail boat or paddle board ( $35 for an hour ). There is a bigger beach that is a 10 minute boat ride to. The beach is not private and you have to lug the chairs, umbrellas, and towels from the hotel with you. We all agreed that for this type of resort it would be nice if they had a section for hotel guests where all of this was waiting for you. We went once and did not go back finding it more convenient and less stressful to just hang out by the pool. There is also no bathroom, food, or drinks on this beach. Throughout the resort we found the staff to be incredibly helpful, gracious and friendly. Our room rate included the breakfast buffet which was fantastic. An absolutely beautiful setting and anything and everything you could want to eat. The omelettes and Belgian waffles were delicious. Plenty of fresh fruit and yogurt. Our only critique would be to have the berries separated by type. We would have preferred individual bowls of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. This way if you just want blueberries and strawberries it's much easier. The coffee was excellent and always hot. The fresh orange juice was first rate. They also have a special kids buffet in a little pirate ship with staff dressed as pirates. Such a cute touch. The staff was always attentive and there to help make breakfast pleasant. On our last day we had Shipewe as our server. He was so friendly and really went above and beyond for us. He overheard me tell my sister in law that my legs were sore from a boot camp workout and he surprised me by bringing me a special smoothie that had ginger in it and is good for tired muscles. I was floored at this kind gesture. How thoughtful...wow. We played tennis. Great courts and plenty of equipment to borrow. We also did a special seal watching boat ride. Do not miss this. Vic took us out for an hour from 9-10 am . This is a complimentary activity for hotel guests. I have never seen 500 seals at one time. It was really magical. Kids and adults were in awe. Kristine taught an awesome beach body workout one morning from 8-9 right on the beach. What a setting....I would have loved to see a special exercise class every morning from 8-9. We also had a special family activity set up by Bob who is the head of activities. He went above and beyond to create a special experience for my family that we will never forget. Bob and Nick thank you taking such good care of us we truly had the best time. It's a memory we will never forget. Every day at 2 and 4 there is an ice cream cart for the kids. A bell rings and all the kids run. It's really cute. At registration there is also pink lemonade and oatmeal raisin cookies daily if you like. We had dinner off property 3 nights and on property one night. The town of Chatham is a quick 10 minute drive away. The hotel can take you in a van or BMW SUV. Just make sure to reserve ahead of time. Del Mar bistro and Chatham wine bar were excellent. Also don't miss Buffy's for ice cream. This is prime time at the resort so the rates reflect this. We had a waterfront suite that was in a great location. It was cozy and lovely. Housekeeping was fantastic. They have Molton brown toiletries which are very nice throughout the property. I did not care for the scent of the body lotion but who knows if that is just me. The bathroom was a bit small but just fine. We did so many fun activities on our trip including bike riding on the cape cod rail trail ( major highlight). We rented bikes at orleans cycle in the town of orleans. Then stopped on the trail for lunch at Arnold's. Great spot. Tons of bike racks to lock up your bikes and refuel with good food. Great grilled chicken sandwiches. Stop at the hot chocolate sparrow for a treat after the ride. Iced coffee and lots of yummy treats. We also went on a cool fishing boat geared for kids called captain kids fishing in harwich. Great activity for kids. A few nice touches in the room: a keurig coffee maker with 4 choices of coffee and tea which is replenished daily. My husband loved that the cable tv had a guide option so you can find the channel you want to watch very easily. We also loved that housekeeping wraps your phone chargers in a little wequassett band. It's this type of attention to detail that sets this resort apart. They also have a full mini bar with incredibly reasonable prices. Very classy. It just shows how much other resorts inflate their mini bar rates. Every night there was live music. Such a nice touch. This was our first time at this resort and we would definitely love to return.

The Wequasset Inn is located on Route 28 in Harwich, just over the line of North Chatham. This meticulously landscaped resort featuring gorgeous gardens and hydrangea bushes, has 120 guest rooms and suites, four restaurants, two pools, two beaches, boating and water sports. We have frequented the Wequassett Resort many times and have eaten in all the restaurants. The Outer Bar & Grille can be reached by boat and on this day we arrived by boat and our entire party enjoyed a delicious lunch and gorgeous views. This waterfront dining area is located next to the pool and fire pits and the deck overlooks Pleasant Bay and Round Cove. The menu features crab cakes, fresh seafood, lobster rolls, Angus burgers, pasta and chicken. The hours are daily from 11:30 to 11 pm. Our party of six enjoyed the Large Lobster Roll (2 sizes available), Cheeseburgers, Fish Tacos and items from the children’s menu. The lobster roll has chunks of full claw and tail meat with a light dressing and I continue to rate it as the best lobster roll on the Cape. The staff was friendly and attentive. This restaurant is expensive as the large lobster roll was $45 but depends on how much you love it. We look forward to returning soon.

My husband and I were married here six years ago, and it was the most wonderful day of our lives. Every year since we have come here for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I don't know why I haven't written a review yet but decided it was necessary to share our experiences. Aside from the wedding day, which was incredibly perfect mostly due to Rene Voltaire who removed every stress or problem from our day, each year when we return we have had consistently wonderful meals. Most recently we have enjoyed eating near the pool at Libations restaurant. This year we had the clam chowder and then shared a lobster roll. Being from New England, we have rated a lot of lobster rolls and this is up there with the best. Not too much mayo or fillers - just delicious lobster. The staff is always attentive and respectful of personal space. After dinner this year we had after dinner drinks by the fire pit. Very romantic and serene! If you want to feel pampered and enjoy culinary joy this is your place!!

That should be the Latin phrase inscribed at the entrance to the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club. If you’re looking for a boisterous place with screaming kids and cheap plastic items, don’t read any further. You haven’t found it here. Wequassett is very expensive and worth every penny. You’ll be surrounded in luxury and pampered in every way possible. I can tell you about the lounge cushions being thicker than my mattress at home. I can tell you about the incredible food and the master martini artists. I can tell you about the glorious views and the impeccable gardens. But the one thing that will make your vacation at Wequassett one of the best experiences of your life is the service. The staff is obviously uncommonly trained. They don’t just solve problems, they anticipate them. It took less than 30 seconds for a staff member to spot an older couple needing assistance to give them a golf car ride to their destination, and from that point on, the staff knew to keep an eye out for them and be there, ready to help instantly without being overbearing or making them feel helpless. They learn your name and address you by name. The quiet that permeates the grounds, pools and restaurants comes from a curious and contagious strong parental involvement with their children. I never once heard a child screaming, acting out or whining, all because their parents were there, attentive to their needs. If you’ve come for the golf, as a guest, you earn the privilege of playing at the Cape Cod National Golf Club, a very exclusive, nationally recognized golf course. And the only other golfers you’ll find there are other guests of Wequassett and the exclusive members of the Golf Club. No review of Wequassett is complete without a few words about the food. Unless you live upstairs from Le Cinq in Paris, dinner at their cornerstone restaurant Twenty-Eight Atlantic will probably be the finest dinner you’ll ever have. Even if you order wine by the glass, the wine steward will open the bottle at your table and pour you a taste before filling your glass. Attention to precise detail reaches new heights at Twenty-Eight Atlantic, and people have actually been sent to prison for not tasting their keynote appetizer, the lobster carbonara. DO NOT miss this! All this while enjoying a breathtaking sunset. (I should mention the sun actually sets behind the restaurant, so no one has to deal with sun glare while they eat, and the hills along the water glow golden against the deep purple sky.) Wequassett is one of the few places you can and should expect the best without any risk of disappointment. We stumbled upon it by chance, and will be going back every year. I’ve never had a more relaxing, fulfilled vacation in my life.

This was our family's first trip to Cape Cod. We booked the resort through American Express which is usually how we pick our hotels. I was SO impressed. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Huge hydrangea bushes everywhere. The staff is SO friendly and attentive. Something that seems lacking at many resorts. Our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious. We always found chairs at the pool and the wait staff were easily flagged for drinks or food. No waiting or searching for someone to help you. There is a sandy beach area just below the pool area. The BEST day was when we took the boat shuttle over to the small island. You have to sign up for this at the towel station by the pool. They have towels, chairs and waters for you to use. If you order ahead of time, you can take a lunch over there. There is no food or bathroom facilities there.
