This hotel was perfect! A true five star I would even give them a sixth star if I could. The weather was not nice during my stay and that didn't affect my vacation because this place is gorgeous. The service, the rooms, the grounds and the food was over the top. They even arrange the shoes in your closet every night. A must when visiting this area.

We visited the Cape from Melbourne, Australia as it's an area I have always wanted to see. June was a good time to travel before it becomes too busy, though many restaurants and facilities are not yet open for "the season" despite it being Summer. Wequassett is certainly 5 star. Service is impeccable and the accommodation provides everything you could wish for. I will be very disappointed to go home and not have chocolates on my pillows and my slippers laid out for me. The gardens are particularly beautiful on this property and the beach access a big plus. The only downside was the Outer Grill not yet open for dinner which would have allowed us to stay in the resort and not travel out for food.

We visited in early June while the weather was still cool and the crowds had not materialized. While we missed not spending hours on the beach, there was much for us, our daughter and two teenage grandsons to do and see. The resort was fabulous, especially the service. Know is was partly due to having fewer guests, but every whim was taken care of. Since we did not get to spend time on the beach (the sand bar reached by boat) the Captain made sure we had a tour of the bay and Chatham Harbor. Vic was fabulous. The grounds are beautiful as are the restaurants and pool. Our room was a little dated but very comfortable with every amenity. We ended up playing Hearts in the Bar during rainy periods. It would have been nice to have a gathering place for games and fun elsewhere.

Stayed this past week prior to moving to a wedding at another venue. Romantic sea views, excellent service including a private boat ride, and good food . The grouds are lovely and resort provided car service to great restaurants nearby. WILL RETURN

My husband and I have been here for drinks once and another time for lunch, and we decided we wanted to stay the night to celebrate our anniversary. I was impressed by the fact that we got an email prior to our stay that inquired about some preferences. I indicated that I would like to upgrade my room upon arrival and that we were celebrating an anniversary. We were not offered an upgrade upon arrival and I figured there was nothing available. I was willing to pay for an upgrade; I was not expecting something for nothing. Our room wasn't ready so we made our way to the gorgeous outdoor pool. We were waited on hand and foot! It was wonderful! We were given a private boat tour a few hours later and really enjoyed that. We checked into out room after the boat ride and we were so disappointed. The rook had a view of the pirate themed playground. It was the least romantic view one could imagine. I am an elementary school teacher and was really looking forward to an adult-only romantic evening. There was a huge soft spot on the floor by the slider. It poured that night and there was a continual DRIP DRIP DRIP noise from an insufficient gutter, I assume. We were also kept awake by the people above us because their floor was creaking when they walked. We were in the Rose building and it seemed to be a bit dated. The room was def not worth $500, and one would assume that when we were asked if we were celebrating any special occasion and we stated yes, our anniversary, we would not have been placed in a room abutting the playground. The only way we would go bak is being guaranteed a better room. It was a splurge for us, as we usually try to stay to $350 per night.
