The building is cozy, only 16 guest rooms and a small lobby. The room (307) was lovely, with tall ceilings and windows, a comfy chaise lounge, gas fireplace, canopy bed, Nespresso machine, and large bathroom in clean gray and white marble. The building is conveniently situated in town, but the room and town are nice and quiet at night. The staff was outstanding - professional, friendly, courteous, helpful, knowledgeable - I can't say enough good things about this team, they were terrific. We enjoyed this long weekend stay, would love to stay again, and highly recommend Hotel Les Mars.

Loved our stay. Gini in the hotel front desk is personable, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. She was always helpful whether we needed extra water, restaurant recommendations or wine tips. She is like a built in concierge with a great heart to see that you have an amazing time in healdsburg. Rooms are clean, neat, with a French ambience. Sunken bubbling bathtub with salts was relaxing and amazing. Hotel is in the heart of the square of healdsburg. One recommendation would be to have mini spoons to be able to Stir your Nespresso coffee or tea. Would have also liked directions for the nespresso machine. Also a toilet paper upgrade would be appreciated. Great hotel ambience. Loved the evening complimentary wine n cheese tasting each night. Great hotel art.

They advertise valet parking it is not valet you have to park on the street and hope they remember to move your car every three hours it is not secure parking. When I complained as this was the main reason this site was selected (no other hotels here do valet) I was treated like a child clueless staff I quote don't worry there is zero crime here (right). When I checked on my car found it left unlocked had to get my keys and secure the car myself. don't stay here if you value your vehicle.

Charming hotel and probably the best one can find in Healdsburg. However, it is expensive and for the price, disappointing. Most R&Cs that I’ve stayed at (arguably in Europe not the US) offer a warm, cosy, gourmet cottage with scents wafting from the kitchen OR a luxury, white gloved, former palace/mansion - this was neither. This was an expensive four star hotel with quaint, antique-like finishings (fake candles on the wall sconces) and barely had any service at all. No amenities are offered (God forbid if you needed a shower after a wine tour and you’ve already checked out) and requests for a late checkout are not entertained at all, you must pay for a half day rate despite the hotel being less than half occupied. I understand the commercial rational but this clearly doesn’t encapsulate the R&C offering that I’ve come to cherish, and certainly doesn’t help convey the need of Sonoma to help draw tourists in their efforts to rebuild tourism to the region after the fire.

My wife and I splurged for an top floor room for our stay in Healdsburg. The Hotel Les Mars was a hidden jewel of a property, with rooms that made you feel like you were staying in a french chateau. Our room had a beautiful four posted canopy bed, a stone gas fireplace, beautiful marble bathroom, high vaulted, wood trimmed ceilings and was bright/cheery with four sets of french doors with Juliet balconies. Breakfast was brought to our room each day and turndown service was impeccable. The property has less than 30 rooms, so service by the staff was totally personalized yet we had all the privacy we wanted. Best of all, the Les Mars is only a five minute walk to most of the best restaurants in town - providing a great way to explore the quaint downtown area. Not cheap, but was worth the cost for one of the best places you can stay to explore Sonoma wineries.
