The Langham Hong Kong

From the moment we pulled up in the taxi to the moment we left in one, we experienced efficient, friendly and helpful service. We had a city view room on the 4th floor. The window looked out at the One Peking building and down onto Peking Rd. We had a marble bathroom and bathtub, separate shower, a huge comfortable king bed, bottles of water, and a full mini bar (not free). It was clean and spacious with welcome chocolates, grapes and a card. Our room was serviced daily and the housekeeping ladies always greeted us cheerfully whenever we passed them in the hall. Breakfast was not included in our stay but there were plenty of places to eat nearby. The location is excellent, being across the road from the subway, the ferry terminal a short walk down canton road. The Langham is also joined to T galleria so you can walk through there to reach the MTR subway if it's raining. We found the location ideal. On the day we left the doormen called us a cab and packed our bags in it. When I got to the airport I found they'd put my sun hat into a langham bag so it wouldn't get crushed. So thoughtful. The hotel staff were always friendly. There was always a staff member opening a door or holding an elevator. The hotel interior was kept spotless, even the elevator mirrors were clean. It was well maintained for its age. I can't fault this place at all. I would definitely recommend.

Stayed in room 1246, and the overall experience was a mixed bag. The staff were exceptionally warm and friendly—truly above standard—and the service at the Club Lounge was particularly impressive. The lounge’s decor is elegant and sophisticated. As for the dining, the breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktail hours were all satisfying. I especially enjoyed the Club afternoon tea; both the ambiance and the quality of the pastries were excellent. Breakfast, on the other hand, stood out for its wide variety of options. That said, a hardware issue significantly marred the stay. The room’s TV kept shutting off automatically—sometimes after just over 40 minutes of viewing. I called the front desk four times, and technicians came up to inspect and repair it, but the problem was never fully resolved. For a guest staying on the Executive Floor, encountering such a persistent technical fault falls short of what one would expect from a five-star hotel. It was genuinely disappointing.

The room was in a rundown condition, featuring a stained side table, an unpleasant odor from the telephone, and a poorly designed shower layout. Furthermore, the concierge team was consistently slow to respond. This substandard experience is entirely unacceptable for a five-star establishment.

Stayed at the Langham for 2 nights and was impressed the moment I stepped in front lobby and got greeted by reception personnel. I was checked in no time and was able to get to my room which was fantastic! Hotel amenities were great and got a goodnight’s rest from a hectic travel day. Checkout was great as well as room service. Will definitely be back at this wonderful hotel when visiting HK.
