The Kahala Hotel & Resort

Amazing experience, especially during the hurricane. The entire hotel team was outstanding—great communication, a constant focus on safety, and incredible service despite losing power. They cleaned up so quickly afterward that you would hardly know a storm had come through, and somehow even managed to provide a great breakfast buffet. Truly impressive leadership and an exceptional team. Highly recommend!

Wonderful property. First time staying at the Kahala and would definitely stay again. All the staff are very kind and helpful. My room was great. This is an older hotel, but it’s been kept up nicely and has a lot of charm. If you walk down to where the shops are located past the elevator after you leave reception, you’ll see all kinds of cool photographs of stars and politicians that have stayed there. Very cool piece of Honolulu that’s getting harder and harder to find. Special things are owed to Ron the concierge who got me a dining reservation that I otherwise couldn’t get. Also Danny and Joston at the pool bar and Zachary at the inside bar. These folks made us stay very special.

I had a mani and pedi ask for Sone she was very professional very cordial I also had a Facial and massage ask for Sayaka she has a very good technique I asked for deep massage she also new what products for the facial I give them 5 out of 5

We stayed at The Kahala Resort on August 8 (Room 720) to celebrate my son’s birthday, as we do every year. This time, I especially want to recognize Richard, who was working at the pool. He was incredibly kind and attentive. He helped us with our pool wristbands when we were looking for a spot, and when we needed towels after swimming, he personally brought them to us even though the towels had run out. He also made sure my son and his friends had a wonderful time celebrating his birthday. Another staff member who was working at the pool with Richard between 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. was also very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, I didn’t get his name, but I truly appreciate both of them. Thank you, Richard and the pool team, for making my son’s birthday even more special. Been going to the Kahaha since 1975 . . . Kahala Hilton, Kahala Mandarin-Oriental, and now the Kahala Resort. Remains our favorite place on Oahu. Everything . . . rooms, personnel, dining . . . Alan Wong is superb . . . and the low-key atmosphere of the resort makes it a wonderful place to be. My only negative - from my most recent visit (August 2026) was the internet . . . it was terrible. Very spotty, dropping out at an inopportune time (as in the middle of a Zoom business meeting). I contacted IT, and they were very responsive but, sadly, unable to fix the problem. I was told that I was not the only person with this complaint. Having said that . . . the KAHALA RESORT is FABULOUS!
