Incredible experience at the Kahala Hotel and Resort! The Kahala is by far the most impressive property throughout the Hawaiian islands. We loved the location as it offers pristine beaches, wonderful amenities, superb restaurants, the best staff in every department, and a quiet slice of paradise. In addition, it is situated to allow guests to easily access Waikiki. It is also 5 minutes away from a Whole Foods Market. That was a plus for us! All things considered, if you want outstanding service on a beautiful piece of land, reserve the Kahala today. You will not be disappointed! We definitely want to come back!

We have been coming back every year for the past 5 years and Kahala Hotel is without doubt the best hotel on the Island . The location is 2nd to none absolutely the best location . Excellent beach and not busy like Wikiki yet you are only a very short drive to enjoy the city. Management staff are outstanding . Bart Van kerkhove and Flora LaMontagne are lazer focused on customer satisfaction . Bartenders Steve and Aron at Plumeria Bar exceptional . We always go to their bar to interact with them . They are always very entertaining and often give us very good tips of what to see on the island . All staff are extremely nice and always remember your name and treat you like family . Ping who cleans our room always remembers us and does an exceptional job . We look forward to coming back as it always feels like you are coming home when you arrive .

We checked into the hotel yesterday and were welcomed very warmly. Before receiving our room, we asked about an upgrade and the cost, as we are on our honeymoon. We agreed to an upgrade at an additional cost of $400 per night, all included. Later that same day, after reviewing my card charges, I noticed that I had been overcharged. I returned to the front desk and spoke with the same staff member. She told me that the second charge had been taken by mistake, should not have been charged, and would be refunded. I was also told clearly that the $400 per night was the final price, with no extra fees. This morning, after checking my transactions again, I noticed that none of the charges matched the invoices or the agreed amounts. Because of this, I visited the front desk at 6am. I was then informed that the charges would not match because a $200 per night holding deposit had also been taken, in addition to the resort fee. I was told this deposit would be returned. I was never informed about this deposit at any point. While I understand deposits are sometimes required, I would have appreciated being told in advance. After reviewing the invoice again this morning, I could also see that the agreed $400 per night had not been honoured, as tax and additional fees had been added. These extra charges were not explained to me at the time of agreement and were never mentioned. This suggests that the earlier explanation about a mistaken charge was incorrect. As I visited the front desk twice yesterday and was not given accurate or honest information, I feel misled and disappointed by the lack of transparency. I hope the management contact me as a matter of urgency and this can be resolved promptly. I would like a clear explanation of the charges and why the agreed price was not honoured. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

We love the Kahala Hotel. It’s a perfect place to celebrate my December birthday. Food is good, rooms are lovely and spacious, and the hotel puts us in the holiday spirit right after Thanksgiving. The services which are outstanding are the food servers, housekeeping, and pool and beach. The valet and bell services this time were not as good as in previous years. Had to wait to have luggage brought to room and also car for valet. A great additional was the “grab and go” shop that just opened. Quality snack food items that are convenient, tasty and unique. All in all, Kahala has everything we want for a tropical paradise vacation. Hotel property is exquisite and quiet. Hotel makes you feel welcomed.

We had a recent stay at the Kahala resort. From a tranquil setting with direct beach access in the pleasant upscale Kahala neighborhood to the beautiful sprawling rooms, this was such a good choice for our family getaway compared to any of the resorts in Waikiki. The resort is definitely 5 star and you can see it reflected in the service, ambience and location. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway close to Waikiki, this is the best. The pics do no justice to how good the hotel is.
