You only do it once and it better be good. We picked Kahala Hotel because of its reputation as being the best hotel in Honolulu. We were so glad that we did. The service was amazing and for a 200 people banquet, the food were delicious too! With 9 months of planning and working with Grace Chan from the Kahala hotel very closely, she made sure everything was done to perfection. From the cocktail on the lawn to the main event, the banquet was extremely successful, memorable and we can't ask for anything more. The hotel rooms were amazing, all the guests had a great time, dancing into the night and after party at the hotel. A night to remember, and thank you Kahala Hotel for the wonderful memories.

Recently I was invited to a dinner party at the Kahala Ballroom. I was so impressed with the cuisine and service that I just had to compliment Executive Chef Wayne, Manager Grace and their staff for the top notch dinning experience. Our appetizer was cooked to perfection foie gras with vanilla roasted pineapple.hearts of palm salad was fresh, crisp and with just the right amount of dressing. The enticing aroma of the freshly baked rosemary bread permeated the entire dinning room. Then the Chilean seabass/ribeye, both cooked to perfection and literally melted in our mouth, For dessert, matcha crepes with French vanilla ice cream - WOW was all I could say!

Nice and clean hotel. Location is beautiful but far from waikiki beach and shops. It quiet and private beach is beautiful but very windy. Hotel itself need an upgrade/remodeling. Things look a little dated like the pool and room furniture. But service and staff were awesome.

We had a MARVELOUS time at the Kahala for Spring break. The hotel is in a secluded area and you feel like you're in your own paradise. The hotel staff was amazing. Special thanks to James Kepa who gave us so many perfect recommendations for restaurants and places to go on the island. This stay was just what our family needed!

We had deliberated for weeks on where to stay while visiting Oahu and we could not be happier with our choice. If you are looking for a hotel that will pamper you and is away from the noise and busy touristy areas, then you should seriously consider The Kahala. The shuttle is available to take you into Waikiki on a regular basis. We stopped into other hotels that were on our list while visiting Waikiki and although there are some that are very beautiful - they were very busy and the public has access to these pool/beach areas. Waikiki felt a little like the Vegas strip, but a beach strip. At the Kahala - you will have peace and serenity with the added bonus of getting into the "livelier area" when you feel like it. An absolute must for anyone who likes sushi - you have got to go to The Verenda or Hoku's for their "AHI POKE MUSUBI". We would consider flying back just for this! We had it 3 times during our week long stay. The level of service at The Kahala - from the restaurant staff to the pool staff and housekeeping - all extremely friendly and attentive. I must point out that during our stay, the Kahala were undergoing some renovations which did not impact our stay one little bit. They made every attempt possible to circumvent any and all inconvenience. Even our taxi driver one evening said to us, as we pulled into the resort, "I just love bringing people to this location, it's so beautiful and peaceful here". We couldn't agree more!
