We have gone there for their Wine Tasting Dinners, cocktails after work, Brunches, etc. but unfortunately, they keep cutting while raising prices. It doesn't help that the hotel is undergoing renovations.

My Mother's Day gift was staying here for two nights. Truly grateful for experiencing this magical place. Even though I rated a different luxury resort kind of low for being "man-made" and "canned", this resort can get away with it because of its pure elegance and charm. The spirit of Aloha is here. Loved everything we had at their onsite restaurants: Seaside Grill - great poke Plumeria Beach House - had their amazing buffet breakfast twice (outdoor seating) Arancino - try their signature dish "Spaghetti ai Ricci di Mare" (would go back just for this) Our room had a dolphin lagoon view, so it was great to wake up to the sounds of splashing, playing dolphins! We felt sorry for them for working all day and living in a lagoon. But glad we saw them happy in the morning. One day, they should definitely let them free. They also have other fish, turtles, and a stingray at the shallow end of the lagoon. Service was excellent everywhere we went. Everyone was genuinely kind and pleasant. This is a big plus for me - no snobby behavior, thank you very much. Hopefully after reading these positive reviews, you immediately book your stay here! It's well worth it, even if it breaks the bank!

Recently spent my first Mother's Day at the beautiful and charming Kahala Resort. Our entire experience was absolutely wonderful. The staff was incredibly courteous and friendly. My family lives in the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, so it was nice to escape only a few miles to the serene setting of the Kahala. The resort is elegant and the decor is absolutely lovely. Our room was amazing and it was so nice having the extra space in our enormous suite. Our lanai overlooked the golf course and the lagoon where we watched dolphins playing below. The dining was exceptional and all of the amenities were wonderful. The perfect place to spend a Hawaiian vacation.

Spent several days at the Kahala Resort recently helping to accompany and babysit two grandchildren, ages 3 1/2 and 1 1/2. Excellent stay for our family group. Pluses: *long gentle beach was ideal for small children. The offshore reed eliminated large waves. Not great for surfers but wonderful for toddlers. *the breakfast buffet (included in my Amex rate) was excellent. The large numbers of Asian tourists have influenced a wonderful Asian food accent to hotel's offerings. In my group, we created a daily donburi option at breakfast from the rice, egg and proteins available each day. Delicious and fun. * the smallish pool (way overheated) was also perfect for kids. They alternated seamlessly between beach and pool. * beach walks in the early morning were outstanding for early risers, young and not so young. *international clientele (especially guests from Japan, China and Australia) lent a fun and sophisticated atmosphere to this destination resort. Minuses: * though great for kids, the pool was way too small, hot and crowded for adults. The resort badly needs a quiet, more luxurious pool option for adults. * the dolphin pond, though popular, is anachronistic. Caged dolphins performing for paying adults and families seems way out of step in today's world. I'd close that part of the pond in favor of a large adult pool mentioned above. * the food options are variable. The seafood buffet offered on Friday was disappointing. It had a catering, institutional feel and taste vs a fresh seafood option. * cabana facilities and services were minimal. At $115 per day, we expected a server to stop by once in awhile. Never happened during our 9-5 rental. Also, the cabana has a canvas cover and two lounges...only. Miss Vegas-like cabana offerings found in other luxurious hotels. This hotel is ideal for families with young children. Would stay there again. With adults only, however, I would look elsewhere
