We had a recent stay at the Kahala resort. From a tranquil setting with direct beach access in the pleasant upscale Kahala neighborhood to the beautiful sprawling rooms, this was such a good choice for our family getaway compared to any of the resorts in Waikiki. The resort is definitely 5 star and you can see it reflected in the service, ambience and location. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway close to Waikiki, this is the best. The pics do no justice to how good the hotel is.

Loved my time there. Will come again! Leslie was very warm, knowledgeable, and intuitive with my muscle and skin needs.

Seeing the dolphin trapped was enough to stop me from staying. I hope more people think the same way and stay away. Trapping an intelligent mammal like this, is beyond cruelty.

Located in a beautiful section of Oahu. We stayed in a lanai mountain view room with breakfast included. There was a partial ocean view as well - so we got an excellent room. We booked it far in advance of our stay so the value we received (through American Express) was stellar. Staff is gracious and attentive. Room was beautiful - split sinks, tub and shower and two closets. We did not use the spa or fitness center. The pool and restaurant were lovely - pool is small, but not a large crowd, so it was never a problem getting chairs and enjoying a relaxing day there. We ate off property for the most part. We did have dinner one night in the Italian restaurant. While the food was very, very good - the price was high for the meal. And we found the wine list small and overpriced. But the staff was friendly and attentive.
