We celebrated our daughter’s wedding reception here last week and she couldn’t have selected a better spot! Venue, food and service were amazing. No one left dissatisfied or disappointed. Thank you to all that assisted in making this an exceptionally memorable experience.

We stayed in an ocean front lanai room, with a beautiful view of the pool, beach and ocean. It was very spacious, with a large lanai. The bathroom had two sides, each with a closet and drawers and a vanity, so each person had plenty of space. There was a Japanese style toilet with a control panel on the wall. On one bedside table, they provided a plug with multiple connectors for various types of phones/electronics; would have been even better if they were on both sides. I loved the classic feel of the place; it is an older resort, renovated, fresh and clean but built in a way that evoked memories of years gone by - for example, there are external staircases at either end of the wide hallways where you can step out and feel the Hawaiian breezes. Service is excellent, the pool area is not overcrowded and the beach is nicer than Waikiki, secluded and calm. There are some good restaurants onsite, a shopping mall nearby, and Waikiki is a short drive away. We previously stayed out at Ko Olina, which was more remote; I preferred the location of the Kahala, more convenient to activities in Waikiki or downtown Honolulu, yet removed from the crowds.

Even though we did not get "beach" weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kahala Hotel & Resort. On site restaurants are not only convenient but awesome food. We ate at the newly renovated Hoku two separate times. The service was great and the food fresh and creative. A good wine list also! Plumeria Beach cafe great buffet breakfast. We ate there everyday! All the staff at the hotel were efficient, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed watching the dolphins, fish and turtles with their trainers. Do you know you can teach a fish to reach up out of the water to get food on command? Very interesting. We took advantage of the onsite photographer to have photos taken on the beach. Very professional and we were thrilled with them. A great remembrance of our trip. Our room was on the 10th (highest) floor with a great view of the ocean from our lanai. Very nice rooms, elegantly appointed; although the lighting for putting on make up could have been better. Rooms were cleaned early and nightly turn down service was a treat. We will definitely stay there on future trips. It's away from the madness of Wakiki but within a 20 minute drive if you want to go there. All in all, a great place to stay!

We stayed at the Kahala resort in Oahu and came across a free photography session offered by the hotel. We were on a babymoon so thought this would be a great opportunity to capture some memories! We met Loryn who set up a quick photoshoot whenever it was convenient for us. The shoot was only half hour long but that was enough; she was able to capture some great images! The pictures were ready for my choosing the next day. There was no pressure at all whether I wanted to purchase any (but ofcourse I did since they were so great!). Loryn was so sweet during the shoot and posed us for all the photos so all we had to do was show up, enjoy the scenery and smile :) Overall it was a fun experience! - Priyanka

Wow, 4th time here & I think it can’t get much better but it does. Stayed in a more secluded area of the hotel which I really enjoyed because it offered a completely different view which was a nice surprise. Same friendly your-wish-is-my-command service. Still not used to that type of service & attitude. It could be the Aloha spirit which basically is nice, kind, decent folks. What really made this trip special was in addition to my husband there; I had 2 crazy funny gal pals. It was so much fun to party with your peeps in Paradise. We pretty much laughed, ate & drank in that order. Memorable restaurants were Gaze, Side Street & Hy’s steakhouse. Be warned you’ll pay top $$ for Hy’s but it was worth it. On top of that saw one of my fav performers, Jackson Browne at the Waikiki shell outdoor concert hall. Nice small venue but acoustics seemed not great on left side of stage. Maybe speaker problems. This vacation was a highlight in my life. 🌺 Mahalo Flora & Team Kahala❤️🌺 Aloha
