It’s a lovely place. And the views are fabulous. I had suite that overlooked the wedding garden at the adjacent property. Everything was clean and comfortable. I do believe that the pics on the website oversell the property. It is not as Euro chic as they look. It’s also not quite worth the money they charge. I paid for the place in the pics and got something a bit more average.

It is always nice to have a fireplace, and in the winter, in the Gorge. Ahhhh. Rooms are well appointed. A couple of chairs near fireplace, a great bed, robes are provided. In the summer the large lounge style chairs would be fun to use. Did not have a river view from room. These rooms are condo's, not your usual hotel style. There is no elevator, we hiked up 3 flights to the room. Or it wasn't offered as an option. Also no pool, sauna, hot tub. Or place to eat. Plan accordingly. It is a lovely place, just a bit sparse.

My husband and I, along with my wonderful in-laws, make our way to Bend, OR each year for our annual family vacation. Our vacation starts with a two day side trip to another destination like the Oregon coast, wine country, etc. This year we discovered Columbia Cliff Villas and decided to make our way to Hood River. We called to make our reservation for two rooms many months prior to our trip. We had selected the River Room for my in-laws and the Courtyard room for us. Our trip finally came around and the hotel is so easy to get to from Portland. Once you pull into the hotel itself, you are immediately blown away by the setting! The grounds are well kept and there are public seating areas where you can look out onto the Columbia River Gorge. The neighboring hotel has beautiful walking paths and an awesome waterfall that you can access. Upon check in, we were greeted by Beau, who was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to make our trip special. He knew that we were wanting to spend time together, as opposed to separate rooms, so he let us know the Penthouse Suite was available for the night. How could we say no once he took us up there to show us around? The suite is absolutely stunning! The views from the dining room, living room and veranda were incredible! We had planned to go out for dinner and breakfast but decided we didn’t want to leave the suite! So we had wine and snacks and watched the kiteboarders from the veranda. For dinner, we picked up Chinese takeout from Grace Su’s and sat at the huge dining room table taking in the views. My husband and I ran to the store for breakfast supplies and used the fully stocked kitchen to make breakfast the next morning. I can’t say enough positive things about this hotel! We will definitely be repeat customers. If you’ve ever watched their videos on You Tube, you’ll hear that once you check in, you’ll never want to leave! This couldn’t be more true! Stay here...you wont regret it!

We stayed two nights. The room had an excellent view of the Columbia River and was very nice, very comfortable. Loved having a fireplace in the room! The grounds, even for the time of year (early Nov), were gorgeous! The waterfall adjacent to the villas is spectacular!

Such a nice property. We arrived road weary with dog in tow. Enjoyed a quiet, beautiful room, with easy access to the highway for the second leg of our move to Santa Cruz. Everyone who we encountered in the team at this place was very nice, and very professional!
