A beautiful room with large double glass doors opening up to the Columbia River. The sister property next door, The Columbia Gorge Inn has great grounds with water flowing throughout. Had it been a different time of year the gardens would have been awesome. When I titled this review Almost Perfect, the unit we were in 8B has carpet that is way beyond its life with many stains and horribly snagged where the floor meets the carpet. Barring the carpet issue, Perfect.

We loved the room at this hotel. The room was well stocked, clean and had a very nice view. The drive to the hotel was very nice as we got to drive from Portland to Hood River along the Columbia river, which this hotel is right next to. We also got to see the town of Hood River, which was definitely our favorite of the whole trip. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful.

Loved the room and the grounds. Combined with the hotel next door it was so peaceful to stay there and explore the grounds. Minor complaints might be sink in bathroom too shallow, and I wish they would set the frig either out in room or put it on a small table where it is in the bathroom. Kind of awkward to have a frig in the bathroom. Gas fireplace warmed the room up real nice.

We really enjoyed our stay in Hood River and your room! We had never stopped on our way to the coast but are very happy we did and will do so again- The staff was very polite and friendly and the room was lovely overlooking the river. We had a fabulous dinner at Stonehedge and appreciated the affirmation of our choice by the woman at the front desk:) wh
