Staff was very nice and genuine. Very clean! Not even a cobweb outside. Luxurious waterfall and garden throughout the property. The flowers are just coming into bloom. The views of the river are spectacular and go on forever. The bartender Alyssa was very friendly and talkative.

Columbia gorge hotel gorgeous setting

Beautiful historic hotel situated in the most beautiful and idyllic setting overlooking the gorge and a waterfall. The food in the restaurant was solid and very large portions at dinner. The king fireplace suite was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. Black out curtains were great to get rest. Large fridge in closet was a surprise. Some of the furnishings in the hotel are quite dated as well as the carpets. Other than that- It was a lovely experience. Staff were helpful and friendly and by the way, the spa was amazing. Best massage I’ve had in a long time!

Beautiful piece of history

This historical hotel has been on my bucket list for awhile and it did not disappoint. Andy checked me in, and she was so helpful and kind! I dropped my luggage and toured the grounds. So beautiful! The waterfall is spectacular and the grounds are pretty well kept. I visited with the baby ducks for awhile, and took lots of photos of the stone bridges and canal. The room was small but adequate and very clean. I was on the second floor, and stairs are not an issue for me, but note that the elevator is original and must be operated by the staff. Be kind and patient if you call for the elevator and it takes awhile. Erin was at the bar the night I stayed. She was very kind and helpful. They have full bar service and also have a great restaurant. Depending on how busy they are, they generally close the bar and restaurant at 8p. Food delivery in the area is very limited, so the on site restaurant was a wonderful benefit, and the food was good. They serve coffee in the lobby in the morning as there are no in room coffee makers. Check out was quick and easy. I am headed back in a couple of weeks and I am looking forward to my stay! Andy, thanks so much for your kindness and hospitality!

Beautiful facility and awesome staff. They know how to attend to everything. The food was amazing too! Very close to various sites around the area. We happened to hit the weather just perfect. And we caught almost every waterfall - I think! 🤔 🤣

Great spot in the Columbia Gorge

A great location, and wonderful grounds! We love older properties like this classic hotel. Room has been very nicely renovated with all the modern amenities. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was spotless. Recommend this for a nice stay, and upgrade to a river view if you can.

I purchased a package at the Columbia Gorge Hotel, Hood River, OR. We live only 70 miles from this venue, but we were surprised at how little we knew about the area. The room, meals and other amenities were outstanding. The Hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and they went out of their way to fulfill our every need. This made a very wonderful 46th wedding anniversary.

My husband and I stayed at the Columbia Gorge Hotel last October. We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel, including the wonderful dinner along with the bountiful breakfast each morning that was also included. The spa package was also quite a treat.
