Hopkins Bay Resort

I had a wonderful experience, the staff was exceptional, respect and professional. Our food was very nice. I would definitely come back again.

Outstanding venue and service! This is our second time at the resort and hope to return soon. The entire staff worked incredibly hard to make sure we had everything we needed. Our welcome by Verlene was warm and caring - answering all our questions and giving valuable information. From our room stewards to the incredible staff at the Rum Shack for meals, snacks, and cocktails - all were handled as if we were family. King, Michelle, Wilbur, and Veronica made sure we were always fed or had drinks at the ready! The grounds were beautiful and impeccable as always. My wife experienced a health issue while we visited and Verlene and Mike made sure we were able to get to a doctor for diagnosis - then got to appointments without question, safely, and without hesitation. We have and will continue to recommend Hopkins Bay Resort to all our friend and relatives!

Beautiful beachfront resort with studio and full apartment units. Clean, quiet, well-maintained. 2 lovely pools, great restaurant on premises. Staff are very helpful. Highly recommend! Get a beachfront unit if you can.

We stayed at Hopkins bay for a few days over new years. Pros: Houses are large, if you book multiple bedrooms it’s good for families Two pools are nice A fun restaurant vibe (beach-y) Cons: Service is lacking. With the exception of a great bartender and a few nice servers, it felt like we were bothering people to ask for anything Dinners took upwards of 2 hours for food Currently have a real problem of seaweed at Hopkins beach. Water isn’t swimmable.

Beautiful setting at the edge of the ocean, with a pretty beach restaurant and nice neighboring beach restaurant, as well. We had an ocean front 2 BR/2BA villa. Beautiful pool, good equipment like kayaks and SUPs readily available to just take and use. The beach is raked every day to remove the plants and other stuff that wash ashore, which also makes the water very murky (so no snorkeling). We were there after a lot of rain so the nearby river emptied some of the jungle into the water and it was like swimming in mulch. So swimming wasn't good but all other beach activities were still great (including kayaking into the mouth of said river and seening birdlife). It was nicely appointed with filtered water provided and a well equipped kitchen. Certain things were in need of maintenance. The sliding doors didn't work well and one of our drapes was held together with staples (which broke, so we had a gap in our drape that we had to fix with the clever use of a fork!). Our coffee maker was ancient and broken, but staff replaced it very quickly with a new one. Both mornings there was no coffee in the restaurant as they use an urn that would run out but then require a long time to re-brew. By 8:30a it was empty both days and there were no other options. Overall, though, we really liked our stay and would return for sure. So tranquil!
