We booked this resort through We're looking for something different from huge resorts, typically overcrowded by bratty American tourists. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised how small and quaint this place is. It has several Caribbean-style villas, which are typically split into upstairs and downstairs units. We got the upstairs unit, overlooking one of two pools and the ocean. The room was large, beautiful, with wooden floor and beams, a large bed, balcony, and a beautiful, spacious bathroom. The resort offers complimentary bikes for you to ride a short distance to the village, as well as sea kayaks and paddleboards to take to a nearby laguna. We'd recommend both. The staff is very friendly, which we found is true for most Belizeans. The local food is awesome, and that includes food at the resort. We're surprised that we were charged very reasonable prices for both the food and drinks right there at the resort. Ask Marvin to mix you his special drink - mango puree with rum and habanero pepper powder. We found it great tasting!

The resort is very nice and located on the bay at the edge of town. Our room had a great view of the pool and the bay. The furnishings were much better than expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The town is a typical small Belizean town with small bars, restaurants, and shops. The place could use a little restoration like painting and wood replacement.

Our room (1101) was just great, with stunning views over the pool, beach and water in front of our room and to the left from our balcony - mountains. The entire staff were just fantastic - everyone remembered our names and were always so friendly and helpful. The resort is maintained to a very high standard. The grounds are immaculate and the pool and beach front was cleaned very early, each morning. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food served at the resort - everything was so fresh and there was lots to choose from.

The resort was beautifully maintained on a constant basis. The staff(Allen especially) was extremely helpful in booking excursions and planning our activities. We felt like we had a lot of new friends after meeting all of the staff! The bicycles were fun to take into town to explore Hopkins. The town felt safe during the day however we drove if we went to town at night. Overall a terrific experience! Thank you to everyone.

We had a fairly positive experience here. The staff is nice and service-oriented. They take time to get to know you. Also the people you meet from various places in the US/elsewhere are fun! The food and drink is FRESH made and not too unreasonable. We were in the upstairs one-room and it was fine with a fridge and coffee maker/creamer always stocked. The housekeeping was excellent, the wifi worked for us all over the resort, and in the room. This was important for me. They also keep the beach clean. Some tiny issues- we're glad we rented a car. It's not really walkable to town in the heat. Some phones have rooms, others don't. This is not ideal for safety or if any issues arise. Definitely we were happy there and would go back.
