This resort is a true American Gem! Nestled an hour away from all your worries and stress in the beautiful mountains it is truly relaxing splendor. The grounds are pristine, the staff members are smiles and helpful. The amenities are vast and top notch. Shuttles to get you to and fro. The lobby is inviting, piano music with afternoon tea; and with dining, rather it be a snack, coffee, lounge or 5 course meal, quality … all was delicious! Thank you Homestead!

I had long wanted to stay at the Omni Homestead Resort and I was not disappointed by this grand hotel in an idyllic location. From the moment we arrived until we departed, each and every staff member was genuine, welcoming, accommodating and knowledgeable. My husband noted that while this is a historic property with staff to meet your every need, it was not pretentious. This is a place to exhale and relax! The history tour by Anthony was very informative with details about the spectacular décor of the recently completed $140 million renovation/restoration. The Great Hall and Presidential Lounge were stately yet cozy with live piano music on a historic Steinway during afternoon social hour and evening activities. The staff at the Allegany Springs shop were helpful in providing local hiking options. There were many families there enjoying the extensive list of Memorial Day activities including a cookout, music and fireworks. The pool area offered chairside service of beverages (alcohol or not) and nice food selections. The breakfast buffet was extensive with made-to-order omelets and delicious coffee. The rooms were clean and beautiful with comfortable bed and pillows. No problems with hot water or elevators—all working properly. Overall it was a most relaxing and memorable visit! Thank you Omni Homestead!

I stayed in room 7163. I arrived on Monday afternoon May 20, 2024 On Tuesday morning I had a cold shower. There was some heat in the water but very little. There was also an earwig that I killed in the shower. I went to the front desk to tell them of the issue. They said the issue would be fixed but never wrote down anything. When I returned to my room in the afternoon it was obvious someone had worked on the shower but the water was still cold. I reported the issue to an employee at the counter in the area above the theatre. She wrote down the information and said someone would fix the issue. Wednesday morning I again had a cold shower. I reported the issue to the front desk. I said I was willing to move rooms if necessary to get a hot shower. I had already repacked my luggage so I could move. They said there was another room available but made it sound like an upgrade. They quickly changed to once again fixing the shower. I said OK but I wanted a hot shower. When I returned that afternoon I took a shower that was lukewarm but still not hot. The next morning the shower had once again turned to cold. I decided to not take a shower since I was leaving. As I was finalizing my packing to leave a large centipede crawled up the bed linens and across the bed. I was very glad that I did not see it the night before. It probably would have prevented me from sleeping. I decided to leave it for the next unfortunate guest. The only way I would ever again stay at your hotel is if I am forced to attend another business meeting there. I will not be as cordial if the shower is cold.

Towels were dirty upon arrival, called the desk and new ones were immediately brought up, which was appreciated. Additionally, by the time I made it back to room I pulled the sheets down and they were full of dust on one side. Was a little surprised by this given the amount of money to stay there. Service was good, someone was always asking if we needed anything.

This is a great place to go for a weekend getaway. Nestled in the mountains of Virginia, the home of Sam Snead, and they served the best trout in the restaurant.

It's clear why The Homestead has such wonderful reputation and charm. That is evident when you check in at the front desk, where the whole experience starts. We will be back for many visits to come, and appreciate how well the staff is trained to make guests feel so welcome!

My family and I have been visiting The Homestead since about 1977. Our trip this year was without doubt the best. I believe the hotel grounds and facilities are in the best condition I have ever seen. We look forward to returning soon.

We won an auction for a trip to The Homestead in Hot Springs to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We are just back from our luxury vacation, and it was fabulous. Everyone at the resort was wonderful.

My wife and I spent three wonderful days at The Homestead in Virginia. We enjoyed a beautiful balcony room overlooking the golf course, gourmet meals, a round of golf and even a horse-drawn carriage ride—with champagne—through beautiful forest. The staff was great from the moment we checked in.
