I can recommend the Homestead for couples or families with young children. All of the staff are extremely attentive and eager to provide whatever your need/needs may be. I realize that the resort is old and may look a little worse for wear in spots, but it's historical presence shines through! The pool is wonderful, with the lazy river. The exercise room/equipment is up-to-date and busy! The food at the Jefferson Grill is top notch, and so is the service! I recommend at least choosing the package that includes breakfast with an overnight stay. The huge buffet breakfast in the main dining room is an experience in itself. Go to Hot Springs and enjoy a wonderful, relaxing stay at the Homestead Resort!

Overall, we had a terrific stay at the Homestead. The good: we enjoyed the beautiful setting and the beautifully landscaped property, the amenities, and many outdoor activities such as zip lining, archery, hiking and horseback riding. The pool was fantastic. We especially liked the lazy river. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We also had really good meals, especially at the Jefferson. The breakfast buffet in the Main Dining Room was also quite good. The bad: our room. We were not thrilled with our room at all. It needs updating. The bathroom was quite small and had mold on the ceiling. The tub did not drain well, during a shower we stood in about 6 inches of water and took about 20 minutes to drain. We also found a gigantic bug and some spiders in the room. The ugly: our view. Of all the rooms in the beautiful hotel, we got the one with the rusty old fire escape and no view whatsoever. See photo.

Wonderful property that is always worth a visit if you've never been. Can be a little pricey but usually worth the spend. Recent renovations appear to be worth the spend. The Old Course is always a joy to play. Overall atmosphere of the resort is very positive.

Beautiful resort. Outstanding breakfast buffet. Awesome golf. Inconsistent wait staff. AC not fully operational. Beds need new mattresses. Overall a wonderful place that still impresses but needs a few upgrades.
