This was my third time staying at The Homestead. The hotel is beautiful and the staff for the most part was very professional and courteous. The kids absolutely loved the indoor and outdoor pools areas. As for the flaws, the time it takes to get your food at the Casino restaurant is too long. We ate there twice during our stay and each time the wait to get our food was excessive, especially for a resort of this caliber. It also seemed like the concierge desk was not staffed adequately if at all. I had to go there a total of three times, and twice there was a sign requesting you to visit the front desk instead. The problem here is that this burdens the front desk staff with miscellaneous inquiries while they are not as proficient in answering questions about the resort's activities (I asked about the Kid's Club and was told I would have to ask the concierge later). Our room did not have any wifi reception at all. Nothing (despite wifi being touted as part of the "resort fee"). When I notified the front desk, I was told there might be some "dead spots" in the hotel. Well then why should I have to pay the resort fee? And shouldn't that be addressed so that people like me don't have to write about it? Overall, it seemed like the resort was short staffed (front desk never had more than two people working, restaurant servers running around, etc.). Finally, something that I noticed (that had nothing to do with the hotel service or staff) is that several times people seemed to just cut the line (e.g. front desk line, line to restaurant hostess). Not sure if being in a fancy resort all of a sudden triggers people to feel entitled or privileged, but I never really notice this when staying at other hotels. The Omni Homestead is a great place to vacation, but for being classified as a luxury resort (and the prices that go with it), I expect and hope improvements will be made in the near future.

My family had an amazing four days/three nights at the Omni Homestead Resort. The grounds are gorgeous and impeccably maintained. Our room was upgraded upon arrival, and an anniversary surprise was left in our room. Both of these touches were incredibly thoughtful and well appreciated. While some areas of the resort are showing their wear and some of the room furnishings need replaced, this did not detract from our stay at the resort. My girls (ages 8, 6, and 2) loved spending time at the pool. I loved that there was something at the pool for all ages. My youngest loved the baby area and the sand, while everyone else really enjoyed the lazy river. Service was spectacular, with all employees attentive but not overbearing. The main lobby and front porch are grand yet relaxing. The lush grounds, lawn games, hammocks, and beautiful flowers all lent to the ambiance and relaxation of the resort. I can't say enough good things about the Omni Homestead!

This resort has many offerings to appeal to both families and couples. We enjoyed the pool facilities very much. They could improve on the dining options especially for kids as usually only sit down dinners which with tired hungry kids that isn't best. The spa and property is great. Fantastic trails both for running and hiking. The new zip line facilities were very enjoyable. Still several activities we didn't have time for. The resort is old but still very charming.
