The Omni Homestead Resort

Loved our stay! So relaxing and located in the beautiful mountains. Tried 2 of the restaurants and the service and food were excellent. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a relaxing feel. I loved drinking my morning coffee out on the balcony, looking at the Fall colors on the mountains. This is a family centered resort. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Our Spa experience was great. The Senerity Garden is a must for some adult only relaxation time. Easy to spend a whole day there soaking in the mineral springs. So many activities to choose from, we enjoyed the nightly movies and afternoon Tea. My Mom and I enjoyed a lovely mini vacation here and will return.

The people who work here make the place unforgettable from Mr. Hill on the piano to Brian on the hiking trail to Hayden at the Gun Club. Every member of the staff in the breakfast room to the check in desk went out of their way to make sure everything was wonderful.

My husband and I went to the Omni Homestead to celebrate his retirement. I was so excited for this trip and was severely disappointed and overall unimpressed with the service at the property. Most upsetting piece was that I requested the room be set up with a surprise to congratulate his retirement. The hotel would only accommodate with champagne and strawberries, which I thought in and of itself was disappointing but better than nothing. The delivery of this occurred not at check in, despite me providing arrival time, but after dinner when we were getting ready for bed. No note or comment regarding congratulations just 4 strawberries and a bottle. The rest of the week was spent either having great service (my husband's golf lesson, dinner at Jefferson's being served by Chip) or absolutely horrible service where staff would not make eye contact, staff did not reappear once food served, or even staff openly cursing due to frustrations on the job. No doubt the facility and surrounding nature are beautiful. Room was standard. Too far to go for a so-so trip and would never recommend for special occasions. Retirement happens once after decades of hard work, for the resort staff to not care, even when I am paying for an additional moment is sad at this level of supposed hospitality.

We recently visited the Homestead with our three sons. Overall, it was a great experience. The two bedroom suite was an absolute must for us our favorite activity was the skeet shooting. Tom was our instructor and was so great with the kids, 14 and 11. We also did horsebacking. We went to the 30 minute ride. It was fun as well, but could’ve been better. We golfed on the old course (only nine holes) and the course was in fantastic shape. Such a fun 9 holes. My biggest complaint for the three days we were there was the dying experiences. The Jeffersons steakhouse service was not good. Steak was significantly undercooked. The drinks did come out as ordered and it took a long time to get out check. The Jefferson’s tap room started off with us sitting at our table for 15-20 min without even ordering a drink. Service did get better after I voiced a complaint. The food there was better than the more expensive steak house. The outdoor pool was great, and the staff were overwhelmingly polite and willing to help however they could. I’d recommend it for an adventurous family like ours.

The Homestead is one of my favorite places. It’s calm, relaxing. I love the piano music in the lobby and the dining room. I also like serenity garden in the back where you can sit in the warm Springs all day if you want to the food is fabulous. The service isexcellent highly recommend.
