Taproom restaurant best experience
Taproom restaurant was amazing. Food was great.i got Brunswick stew, my mom got a cobb salad that had butternut squash and pomegranate seeds in it, empanadas with ice cream.But the best part was our waitress (Alicia) she was so sweet and went over above her job. Plus the manager Matthew was so accommodating too. Would recommend this restaurant.

Check Your Bill Carefully when leaving!!!
Classic, historic resort. Beautiful setting, however March is probably not the time to go. Many of the employees told us that it was a very slow time and maybe this is why there was usually only one restaurant open at a time, so not many meal choices. We found it to be very expensive for what we got, definitely not a five star experience. The worst part though was that they overcharged us by $533 and had I not gone over the bill line by line with two employees at the front desk, we would have left having way overpaid. We couldn’t help but wonder how many people don’t carefully check their bill and are getting overcharged for all sorts of things they didn’t get.

Spotless, scenic, and great service
Everything was top-notch. The room was sparkling clean with a gorgeous view, and the service was genuinely warm and welcoming. The highlight was definitely the historic warm springs—such a unique and relaxing experience. A must-visit!

Best Couples Getaway
Such a great experience , can't recommend it enough. The amenities at the resort are great too. The food selection amazing, Martha's market is the perfect little cafe. We stayed at a cabin at the owners club - Our cabin was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Super clean too, the hot tub a perfect addition, even all the necessities for grilling. The perfect escape just bring some clothes or go shopping at the shops in the resort. Cozy home away from home. Checkout was smooth, check in was too. If you get the opportunity take it !!!

It's clear why The Homestead has such wonderful reputation and charm. That is evident when you check in at the front desk, where the whole experience starts. We will be back for many visits to come, and appreciate how well the staff is trained to make guests feel so welcome!

My wife and I spent three wonderful days at The Homestead in Virginia. We enjoyed a beautiful balcony room overlooking the golf course, gourmet meals, a round of golf and even a horse-drawn carriage ride—with champagne—through beautiful forest. The staff was great from the moment we checked in.
