Christmas at the Homestead
We visited the Homestead in December of 2025 to enjoy the Christmas season. The hotel is beautifully decorated for the holidays. The staff was very helpful during check in and checking out. One of our favorite things, is when we eat the breakfast buffet, and get to see our friend Roderick Ottey. He always remembers my family and takes the time to come say hi and talk to my young boys. Our dinner at Jefferson's restaurant was excellent, with great service, and perfectly cooked steaks. Our young boys got to go ice skating, go on the S'mores express, and enjoy the scavenger hunt in the Great Hall! We always love a trip up to the Homestead!

Another great stay at The Homestead in Virginia!
The resort was beautifully decorated for the holidays! We enjoyed the spa, mixology class, shooting range, and all dining venues. The front desk was helpful (especially Kata), and luggage and valet staff were always prompt with service. Additionally a shout out to Don for all he does around the resort. Ramiro Cordova (sous chef) went out of his way to make our dining experience wonderful. Alex kept things running smoothly at mixology class and in the bar. Coffee and tea service in the lobby in the morning was necessary and appreciated during this busy time of year. Thank you to everyone for outstanding service!

Another amazing Christmas weekend at the Homestead!!
Another amazing trip to the homestead! Great family location especially during the Christmas season! Spa, shooting range, wine tasting, skating, and relaxing! We have been coming here for years but this year the food and service was off the charts amazing! Jefferson restaurant was top notch and Christa with her specialty cocktails makes sitting by the fireplace and listening to the music fantastic! Highly recommend it.

Perfect spot for weddings & events
I had the privilege of staying at The Omni Homestead to preview their event spaces for weddings and other events. The event spaces and venues are stunning and practical. This would be a great hotel/resort for a destination wedding. Ample hotel rooms, activities, delicious food, beauty! Loved it!

Better than the greenbrier!
I’ve stayed at both. Choose the homestead. If I could go back in time I would get married here. The staff never dropped their professionalism, the food was incredible, the Christmas ambiance was outstanding and one of my friends (there were 4 girls in our group) said “ It feels like we’re in a Hallmark movie.”

It's clear why The Homestead has such wonderful reputation and charm. That is evident when you check in at the front desk, where the whole experience starts. We will be back for many visits to come, and appreciate how well the staff is trained to make guests feel so welcome!

My wife and I spent three wonderful days at The Homestead in Virginia. We enjoyed a beautiful balcony room overlooking the golf course, gourmet meals, a round of golf and even a horse-drawn carriage ride—with champagne—through beautiful forest. The staff was great from the moment we checked in.
