The Homestead is a wonderful venue for business, special events and family getaways. As a Safety Specialist, I was pleased with the overall safety atmosphere and the food safety skills demonstrated by the staff. They were engaging, yet professional. I visited the the local community and found a well maintained Fire and EMS department. I have no hesitation about returning to the Homestead and bring my family. Small children were welcomed and presented with a safe environment.

Located in the middle of nowhere, The Homestead is a beautiful building with a great history. From the moment you arrive at the front entrance, the staff treats you like royalty. Much to do on site, but almost no options offsite, such as other dining, "going into town", etc. Sleeping rooms very antiquated, including poor HVAC.

We celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary & absolutely loved the Omni Resort! The staff was so friendly, the room was perfect, the food & drinks were delicious! The Springs are beautiful & we loved being able to enjoy the rocking chairs on the front porch. The Southern social hour was truly enjoyable & the pastries were so so good! The entire trip exceeded our expectations & we are definitely planning a return visit.

Check in and front desk staff very nice and friendly.Run down expensive hotel. Staff was friendly but rooms were poorly maintained and not clean. Food was generally OK but expensive. Not very good value. Friends stayed next room to use, dirty hand towel. Small refrigerator placed on carpet floor. Hardly what you would expect from a luxury resort.

Overall our visit was quite enjoyable. We had a encounter with the maƮtre d' in the Main Dining Room who was fairly rude but we opted to dine in the Jefferson Dining Room and that was impressive. My only suggestions would be that the bathrooms need counter space - no room for toiletries and there is no mirror on the bathroom door for fixing your hair/makeup. The grounds are beautiful, even in early Spring. We love feeling like we are walking back in time. The staff, especially Betty Jean, made our anniversary very special.
