Homestead showing its age. Not much updating of the facility. Extremely high prices. Small rooms, average cleanliness. Charged $20 day for parking. Overpriced food. Basically the only game on town for meals, so be prepared to spend alot of money!

Just returned from a wonderful week at the Omni Homestead Resort and my family can't wait to return! We had an exciting time enjoying all the outdoor activities that this secluded resort had to offer. (archery, horseback riding, zip lining, swimming, etc) Overall, our hotel experience exceeded expectations. The staff was very attentive and accommodating to our needs. It was evident to us that almost all of the staff genuinely enjoy working there and they wanted to make our stay as memorable as possible. We stayed in a Deluxe Room with two queen beds. Our room accommodations were sufficient and had old school charm -- the room/bathroom was well designed, neat, and had all the items needed to meet our needs (two adults/one child). Though our room view was nothing to write home about, we did not spend a ton of time in our room other than winding down at night and planning for our next adventure the following day. Stacey Woodzell (a Loyalty Team member) was especially kind to our family making birthday arrangements for us during our stay. Jefferson's Restaurant and Bar staff member Trish (Bartender from NYC) was also extremely kind and helpful to our birthday family member. If you are a golfer you are in for a treat. Both the Old Course and Cascades course are in excellent shape. The golf team members: Ben, Justin, David others go out of their way to make your experience a positive one. The Homestead truly is a treasure and I recommend it to anyone who wants to get away to a beautiful, secluded resort which is well maintained and offers breathtaking views in all directions.

Excellent value, delightful staff, wonderful activities. The men played golf, the girls hiked the Cascades gorge, (12 exquisite waterfalls) canoed on the James River, hiked a different path, as well and enjoyed the hot springs, two different kinds.

We enjoyed this wonderful old resort. The grounds are beautiful and there are many options for activities (pools, spa, golf, sporting clays, horseback riding, zip lines, etc.) Definitely do the history tour of the hotel. The guide/historian was excellent and amusing. Overall, it was a great experience. The only negative for us is that it is a pet friendly resort and our room had a somewhat musty/dog smell. But, we would stay there again.

I was here three nights for a conference. Lovely facility!! My room had a balcony with a beautiful view of the mountain. The food was wonderful! I had gluten free options at every meal. The breakfast in the main dining room is SPECTACULAR! Can't wait to return for personal leisure time.
