A Great Historic Hotel

Opportunities to have an exceptional experience
Stayed first week of May and had exceptional weather for that time of year (low 70 to mid 80s) where I was able to enjoy the outside porch area. Be prepared to upgrade, some rooms may not meet your expectations for size and view. Meals were well prepared. Service staff was polite and attentive. The spa area was relaxing.

Outstanding Property & Service
Extremely impressive Hotel ~ Clean, Warm & Welcoming Staff , Comfortable beds and pillows, each of our rooms were beautiful. 1082 King Bed with a fireplace and view ~ 1088 With a King Bed , Stunning views and a private spacious porch/balcony , This property is breathtaking!! We were additional impressed with the kindness and care for our family dog Athena !! Thank you Omni Homestead Staff ~ All ~ for making our stay and experience top notch.

Bad Experience from the start
Front desk personnel have issues. Our check in at the Homestead took over 24 hours to resolve and still had issues. Poorly trained personnel or a bad IT system. Probably both. Murphy's Law in effect here. Nice hotel, but we checked out early because of the incompetence. No warm and fuzzy feeling here.

This is a great place to go for a weekend getaway. Nestled in the mountains of Virginia, the home of Sam Snead, and they served the best trout in the restaurant.

My wife and I spent three wonderful days at The Homestead in Virginia. We enjoyed a beautiful balcony room overlooking the golf course, gourmet meals, a round of golf and even a horse-drawn carriage ride—with champagne—through beautiful forest. The staff was great from the moment we checked in.
