Hotel Granduca Houston

The building is basically a Hampton Inn with a much better skin. Pros: It's surrounded by parking lots and you can do self parking for free. Very rare of hotels of this class. Cons: There's very little public space that could make you feel like you are actually staying in an luxury hotel. The hotel features very large rooms, even by Texas standard. I stayed in a Junior Suite which came with a full kitchen, a separate bedroom and a walk-in closet. Since the rooms are so big but the building itself isn't it means that there won't be many people staying in the property. Even on weekends I didn't see or hear many people so it felt pretty private. This also allowed staff to provide better service to the guests. This was my favorite part about the hotel. However the room itself wasn't as nice as I expected. It was pretty outdated outside of the large TVs and I ran into several issues in my room. My general feeling is that they were doing their best to cut the cost while keeping the room look like an upscale one. Also the highway near the hotel was surprising loud. Better get a room facing the courtyard if you care about noise. While the hardware wasn't the first class the service was. The staff were amongst the nicest ones I have seen in the US. The housekeepers made a lot of small adjustments for me in a way I rarely see in any hotel. They also provided unlimited bottled water on every floor, another thing I rarely see anywhere. In short if you care about service above anything else, this place should be a very good choice. Overall I really liked the size of the room and the private, quiet feeling. At the same time for it felt more like a luxury apartment than a luxury hotel in many ways. If you don't care about that extra room size it may not worth the money for you.

We had such an amazing stay at Hotel Granduca! This is officially our favorite hotel in Texas, and it made our first experience in Houston absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly hospitable and genuinely made us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our entire stay. The Remi was amazing and had some of the most delicious food we’ve ever had at a hotel. The service was truly exceptional, especially thanks to Kahlil, who served us during our stay. He was hands down one of the best servers we’ve ever had. He was kind, welcoming, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our experience special. He even remembered our order from the previous day, which was such a thoughtful touch and really showed how much he cared about his guests. Everything about Hotel Granduca—from the beautiful atmosphere and luxury amenities to the incredible staff made our stay so special. We are already planning our next trip back! If you’re looking for a luxury hotel with an amazing atmosphere, beautiful amenities, delicious food, and a staff that truly goes above and beyond, Hotel Granduca is the place for you. We cannot wait to return!

5 stars all around. We had an excellent stay from beginning to end. The reservation process was easy, and all of the extras we arranged for our anniversary were already set up and waiting for us when we arrived — truffles, rose petals, balloons, and tea lights. Everything was done perfectly and made the room feel really special. Check-in was extremely easy, and the hotel itself was amazing. I loved the decor and the overall feel of the property. It has a beautiful vintage, old-world style while still feeling updated, comfortable, and very well maintained. The Remi was also very nice and added to the overall experience. Check-out was just as easy as check-in, and the entire stay felt smooth from start to finish. We had a great anniversary weekend and would absolutely stay here again.

Since the refurb it's great to see The Duca back to it's very best and the staff so friendly and accommodating. This is a great hotel option in Houston and a definite recommend.

A Luxurious welcome home away from home. Zoe and Bella are outstanding and Zoe deserves every accolade as a caring super professional and capable Manager. What shines in this hotel is truly the people in it. Good food, nice accommodations and superb location
