We always enjoy our stays at The Houstonian in March! We come into town for the rodeo and our anniversary celebration. We feel so welcome and cared for. Service is top notch and the food and drinks are yummy.

Beautiful manicured resort with staff trained in what hospitality should look like. You can tell great care has gone into the curation of menus from in-room dining to their signature restaurant, Tribute. A boutique hotel with a comfort that feels like home and a hands down the best spa experience in Houston.

DISCRIMINATION and CLASSISM HERE! We have been members for several years, but over the past year we’ve noticed a significant decline in the overall experience, particularly with staff interactions. Several long-standing employees we appreciated have left. As a blended family, where I’m a minority with Caucasian step kids… I have personally experienced situations where staff appeared to assume I was a nanny or sitter rather than a member, and the tone of those interactions felt dismissive. There have also been instances where my nanny/niece and friends’ family members were treated differently based on similar assumptions. Regardless of someone’s role family member, caregiver, or guest, everyone deserves to be treated with respect. And it seemed to show a lot with an unpleasant manager. Since Bailey’s departure (whom we loved), interactions with the female youth club manager have been particularly disappointing, and multiple families we know have had similar experiences. I’ve had my own incident with her back in late 2025 and she has left a very ugly mark and reputation on the club. Because of this, our family has not attended the club for the past few months since 2025 and is considering other clubs that prioritize respectful and inclusive treatment of members and their families. I do want to mention that there are great members there that we still love but inclusion and respect is my #1 priority and why we feel like we need to leave here. Additionally, the gym could use updates, and the value of the resident membership does not seem to match the added cost. Hotel rooms are pretty outdated as well.
