I love this quirky boutique hotel, which is perfectly situated in the museum district and just a short walk away from Rice University and the Medical Center. And if you don't feel like walking, they will drive you in a limo that had huge bull horns on its hood (you can't miss your ride) anywhere in the neighborhood with just a few minutes notice. The staff at Zaza goes way above and beyond to make each stay wonderful, so I will keep coming back for more.

I went last week with my family and we didn't get a good impression of the hotel, the service was bad and we didn't get good attention from the management, I wouldn't recommend it after our experience

Morning My spouse bought this package for us for obvious reasons. The hotel is beautiful and opulent. We had a wonderfully cute greeter when arriving and he was very attentive to our needs. We were even given an upgrade on the room which was amazing. We had vouchers for our stay. We received all vouchers except for the breakfast/which we received 40 and in the advertisement stated 50. Again we didn’t complain. We ate in the Monarch and for the most part our food was great. There was one exception. I ordered the “Valentine’s” crab terrine appetizer. It took longer than anyone expected for this to come out and when it did, the MANAGER brought it to me and said he was out of the smoked oysters and he decided to replace it with some sort of white fish on the bottom and added salmon roe to the top. He non so gently placed it on our table and hurriedly left. I sat there wondering, what if I were allergic to what he substituted? I took a couple of bites and there were bits of crab shell. I deconstructed it and that’s when I noticed what was substituted. We never complained to the waitstaff. Ernest (waitstaff) was amazingly sweet and attentive. The robes in our room are supple and soft. Unfortunately, they are made for “Vogue models.” Not the average sized person. Also, what is the “Romantic 5 Senses of Love” turndown? We received a fruit plate in our room when we returned from our evening meal. Is this the 5 “Senses” mentioned? We honestly can’t say we’ll be back. We expected no worry romance and received mediocre at best. Angela Yeager & Johanna Johnson Sent from my iPad

Love the artsy, sometimes surreal decor. Enjoyed a really relaxing pedicure with Veresa in the ZaSpa this morning. Our room has a huge dining table and living area, with a separate bath and king bedroom. Tons of windows! (Can read anywhere in here!😁) The Houston Museum of Fine Arts is across the driveway, and I drove to to Rice Village, (tons of shops and restaurants), in about five minutes. Had an excellent dinner at Prego and picked up Valentine cupcakes at SusieCakes. This hotel is in a perfect location! Delicious blackened chicken sandwich in the Monarch Bistro. Really appreciate the GREAT service from Ernest and Luis!!!

I have been a fan of this property for years including the original Warwick Hotel. Admittedly the location in the Museum District juxtaposed to Montrose and convenient to Rice University and the Medical Center was my primary interest. Once Zaza took over, the overall upgrades were much appreciated. The staff is well trained, courteous and invariably spontaneously willing to extend themselves in favor of the customer. This most recent stay was no exception. My medical conference was downtown at a modern large hotel. I never considered that alternative. Having ready access to the shuttle service during the day and evening is a brilliant amenity. Drivers, Big Mike, Sergio and Little Mike are skilled safe drivers who are always cheerful, friendly and an excellent resource for anything Houston visitors need to know. We look forward to our next visit.
