I actually found Zaza looking for hotels who would accommodate my dog Chia on my husband's and my anniversary. What a find it was! Finding a place which is sensual, fun, and near everything you could desire to see and do in Houston along with the 50lb pup is a tall order- a wish which was fulfilled superbly by Hotel ZaZa! Excellence from the moment we arrived; from the valet,to the concierge, to the front desk- all were warm, and professional, with the emphasis on genuine warmth; We never once felt anyone was pushing for a tip or just doing a job. We were greeted immediately with some extra Zaza bucks, but because we had the dog and didn't want to leave her right away,we couldn't get our drinks at the Monarch, but hey, no problem, the bartender brought our drinks to the comfy sofa in the lobby where we lounged and everyone came up to pet Chia. (She loooved it! Belly rubs and all)! Things got even better when we saw our suite. We had been upgraded our first night for a minor problem with booking to the "Cest La Vie" room. Just lovely luxury all around! Since I hadn't seen photos of the bathroom, I thought it couldn't be very special but I was wrong! It was gorgeous, and had a separate deep tub and large shower, separated from the "water closet". The bed was a king and just so comfortable! All the lights had dimmers for a romantic mood. The one annoyance was there were no chairs that were high enough for sitting and doing make up at the vanity. Also, Cest La Vie has no dining table which is a little inconvenient for room service. Otherwise, it was perfection. Once we were settled in, it was time to visit the Monarch. This place is soo many things! We arrived on a Sat. night, and the DJ had the whole place jumpin. The clientele were an eclectic mix of of everyone of all ages, some eating in quiet corners, others dancing. The food is pricey but increadible. My husband recommends the lamb lollipops, and I the crab cakes, which were some kind of soft, fluffy, rich but delicate manna from heaven. The late night menu offers less, so try to order before 10 pm or so. Breakfast was the best, the ginger carrot juice thingy being my favorite way to wake up. As many reviewers have said, the drivers will take you anywhere within 5 miles. These guys were great, and we were pleased and surprised this also includes dogs! I don't need to talk about the artsy ambience of the hotel, because so many others have, but it is very special. Everything is magic at ZaZa, including the mysterious flowers that just appeared at the door of the suite. A large, beautiful arrangement out of nowhere. I spent half a day trying to figure it out, correct the mistake, so these flowers could go to their rightful owner, but I just got lots of smiles, the staff claiming to be clueless, but that I should enjoy them. I did! We love YOU, ZaZa! What else? Oh, Zaspa is heavenly, but that's another review! Do " Stay Zaza"!

This hotel is big enough to have all the amenities, but somehow manages to have a boutique hotel feel, so it is not overwhelming. It is located very centrally in the heart of the museum district. The rooms(though mine was small) are beautifully decorated and comfortable. The beds are very comfortable with high thread count sheets. Good wifi

My first time visit and I couldn’t have had a better experience. i was greeted by the entrance staff with great mannerism as they welcome you to the hotel with a beautiful smile. Erin Myles is the women that checked me in, after I explained to here that its my first time in Texas she decided to surprise me with an upgrade to the Warwick Apt which was the most beautiful, dazzling looking suite . And on top of the amazing stay, come my last night I come back from my meetings and I find a bottle of champagne with the sweetest letter that simply put the cherry on top. I couldn't be more thankful and appreciative to all the staff and especially Erin she really made my stay so memorable.

Great place, great location, great service... the hotel car service is excellent - but since hotel is just beside tram stop there's easy options for getting around. Concierge and front house staff are fantastic - always around and always chatty and helpful. Beautiful park just over the road and easy walk to some excellent museums. Single/minor gripe is the lack of mirror in the bedroom.

My husband just got released from Herman, and we needed to stay close to the Hospital for a week. The kitchen was especially helpful, as they served the Omlet from breakfast for my husband at dinner. They had a Banana each morning for him to take his medicine with, and they had Wine in the Lobby each day to help ME relax. Helpful, curtious, and Professtional. Loved the FREE ride to Herman and lovely walk back through the park!
