Reviews for Hotel ZaZa Houston Museum District

Nice hotel, ok location but fees for using a credit card??

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Cool hotel with a great pool and fun funky art. The location is ok—close to Rice University and museums but not much else within walking distance. The hotel offers a free shuttle to take you anywhere within a 3 mile radius (first come, first served) which was helpful. The rooms were nice, comfortable and clean. The one thing that I am having a hard time getting over is that the hotel adds a 2.5% fee if you pay for anything with a credit card. This is on top of the $30 amenity fee, state tax, city tax, county tax and state recovery fee. I understand there is nothing that can be done about the taxes but making the guests pay the credit card processing fee on every transaction and your room seems cheap.

Austin was, without a doubt, the best waiter we’ve had in a long time. He was attentive, knowledgeable, personable, and made our entire dining experience exceptional. He anticipated our needs without ever being intrusive, had wonderful recommendations, and made us feel genuinely welcomed from start to finish. Outstanding service like Austin’s is rare, and he’s a huge asset to Monarch at Hotel ZaZa . I will absolutely be back and will request Austin every time. Thank you for making our evening so memorable.

Always enjoy staying at Hotel Zaza. The staff is always friendly and professional. We especially enjoy the service John Pozes gave us at breakfast.
