Southern California is remarkable for many reasons, but perhaps the most notable of its many wonderful attributes is a beach culture unlike any other in the world. For a true taste of sun-kissed splendor, head to Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel in world-famous Huntington Beach, California. Hailed as the original "Surf City USA," this vibrant Orange County town promises its visitors a unique Pacific Coast experience. Downtown luxury meets a relaxed beachfront vibe at the boutique-style Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel, just steps away from Main Street. The hotel is set back just enough from the action to keep a more chill, quiet demeanor. But if you want to get out there for food, drinks, shopping and festivity, these are a few awesome things you'll find right outside our front door.

I stay at the Kimpton Shorebreak weekly for business and always have a great experience. Clean and beautiful! A special shoutout to Arturo Navarro, who consistently provides some of the best customer service I’ve experienced. He is always so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I genuinely enjoy chatting with him every time I stay here!

We had a great experience at Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel. Our check-in process was easy and very welcoming (Thanks Arturo!). The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is located right by the beach and there are several blocks of shops and restaurants. If you are coming to Huntington Beach, we highly recommend this hotel! Everyone has been friendly and helpful!

The room and ocean view is perfect. The Shorebreak staff always makes us feel so very welcome. The restaurant, Pacific Hideaway is always amazing and offers a great menu for our Grands. From check in to check out, the entire Shorebreak experience is a 10!

The best thing about this place is the location and accessibility to Main Street. The rooms are dated and small. There’s no in-room coffee, and the available coffee in the lobby was empty two mornings in a row. The breakfast wasn’t good. The service and attitude of the staff is non observant, from directions to amenities to waiting on getting served while the restaurant was empty and the server was not helping anyone else, and I was in plain sight. It all seemed to be an afterthought. The AC in my room didn’t work - it appears the thermostat needed batteries. I left the patio door open because it was cool enough outside. The toilet barely flushed. For the price, I expected more. The final ugh was the added costs I had no idea I’d pay, including a $35 occupancy tax and a $45 resort tax. I understand those fees aren’t their call, but when they say rates start at $295, that’s not what you’re going to pay. Having said all that, I can see how families with children would enjoy it. It has games, a good gym, a courtyard with a fire pit, and it’s across from the beach.
