Southern California is remarkable for many reasons, but perhaps the most notable of its many wonderful attributes is a beach culture unlike any other in the world. For a true taste of sun-kissed splendor, head to Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel in world-famous Huntington Beach, California. Hailed as the original "Surf City USA," this vibrant Orange County town promises its visitors a unique Pacific Coast experience. Downtown luxury meets a relaxed beachfront vibe at the boutique-style Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel, just steps away from Main Street. The hotel is set back just enough from the action to keep a more chill, quiet demeanor. But if you want to get out there for food, drinks, shopping and festivity, these are a few awesome things you'll find right outside our front door.

This location is perfection! The front desk associate, Kel, was top tier in customer service! She went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was extra special. Also, shout out to Danny at the front desk who was also extremely helpful! These two are tremendous assets to this gem of a hotel! Social hour is super fun and free coffee was a wonderful start to my day! We can’t wait to return!

Shout out to the amazing young man at the desk! Danny can do it all! My husband and I were so eager to check in from our 6 hour long drive. We were surprised to see that there was a huge line upon entering the building but even more surprised with how quick it disappeared. How you may ask… DANNY! I watched Danny answer phones, check in his guests, answer his colleagues questions, and show us so much attention and warmth upon our arrival. He is a literal multitasking genius! Our room wasn’t ready upon check in but he still made sure we were well informed about everything that was going on around the city, the best places to eat, and all the amenities the hotel has to offer. After making us laugh, feel at home and even acknowledge our children Danny had his super helpful bellman James (or I think it was Josh) help us with our bags. DANNY DIDNT SPEND ANYTIME WAITING!! Within the 30 mins of arriving he had made a couple calls and had a room ready for us! He then had James (or Josh) take our bags up to our room and it was amazing!

Our stay was A.MA.ZING! We are from Vegas and have done several stay-cations there. In Vegas, we feel like just another tourist and not special. At Shorebreak, we felt appreciated and that we mattered. EVERYONE was over the top nice and courteous. Anna at the front desk and Josh who helped us with our baggage were amazing. I can't say enough about how great the Shorebreak is. Positives: 1. We stayed in the King Suite-Ocean Front-Pier View. Yes it's pricy but there are other room options with the same views if cost is a concern. The management pics online don't do it justice. The patio actually has a hightop table so we could see over the wall. it was great to sit out there and watch the ocean and pier and just chill. Sunday morning all the classic cars were out cruising PCH. The turntable/bluetooth speaker was really cool too. 2. Pacific Hideaway restaurant is awesome with great food. Totally underrated. We sat outside multiple times and could see the pier and beach. 3. Family friendly environment. We will be back with our kids. The inner courtyard is great for s'mores, Ping-Pong, foosball, or just hanging out. 4. Beach supplies. Anything you need for the beach is ready for you at the front desk- Towels, wagon, chairs. Just go up and get it. Negatives: To us they were minor and the positives far outweighed them. 1. Noise from PCH. Since the hotel/room is right there on PCH, you will get noise from all the loud cruising cars and bikes that like to rev their engines as they drive by the pier. Is what it is. A little loud during the day and evening but slowed down after the sun went down. It didn't affect our sleep at all. 2. Ironically the bathtub was actually too big. It's nice to soak in the tub after being at the beach but it was just too long to really be able to sit and relax. Nice and deep. Just a bit long.... that's what she said! -sorry, couldn't resist. :-D All that said, we love this place and we can't wait to come back with our kids. It is the ultimate laid back environment where you can relax and just enjoy being at the beach and pier and chill. WE WILL BE BACK!!!!!

We had the best time! The location does not get better. Right on the beach! The food at the hotel restaurant, Pacific Hideaway, was delicious. So was the food everywhere else we went. We stayed for 5 days and every meal we had at nearby restaurants was a big hit. The Shorebreak staff were all great, especially Adam at the front desk. We took advantage of the table tennis and the free s'mores that you can toast at one of the 3 fire pits in the picturesque courtyard. I can hardly wait to come back. Thank you, Kimpton Shorebreak!
