Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel

Just stayed there over the weekend! Very dog-friendly hotel. They not only allow dogs, they actively welcome them. The hotel itself has a vintage vibe, but with modern amentities. All sorts of little treats such as the daily cocktail hour, fireside s'mores and records you can listen to in your room. There's nothing 'corporate-y' about this hotel. It's authentic and cool. That said, sometimes things don't go accoring to plan. Unfortunately, we were in a room right next to a group of late night party people. Not just loud voices, we're talking thumping music into the middle of the night (2am) making it impossible for anyone to sleep. Very inconsiderate. We called the front desk within two minutes it was handled (later we found out it was Jackson who personally resolved it..thank you Jackson!) The next morning without even asking for any sort of compensation, we were given and apology from the hotel staff, and offered breakfast on the house. The noise was not Kimpton Shorebreak's fault but they went out of their way to make us feel valued. Jessica at the front desk handled everything and was super professional, friendly and kind. Hey Kimpton: She's a keeper! So is Jackson. The restaurant was very busy due to holiday weekend. They let us know upfront there might be a wait; and I realized sometimes it's not what you say, but HOW you say it. The manager Heather jumped in to assist with anything needed (pick up glassward, deliver food), and check in with us. We noticed that she did this throughout the morning and it made a difference, keeping the vibe very positive. Kudos to you Heather for navigating that crazy busy shift. Our server Destiny was busy as heck, but that didn't affect the level of service she provided. She was warm and efficient at the same time. We left wondering how they were able to hire and train, and retain so many awesome people in one location. I've not written a lot reviews lately but this needed to shared. P.S. Later when we got home I realized I forgot a bag with new new adidas in it. Did they have it already set aside for me? YEP they sure did. Not surprised, as these are the people you want running your hotel that's for sure. #shorebreakresort WE WILL BE BACK. We loved everything about our stay, even with the rude people in the next room.

Kimpton Shorebreak went above and beyond for us! I booked a room for my parent’s anniversary. I really wanted to make their stay special and thanks to Frederick and the Shorebreak team, they had an amazing time! Not only did they receive an upgrade to an oceanfront view but there was a bottle of champagne waiting for them in the room! They loved spending time on the patio enjoying the waves and vibe of HB. Without the help of Frederick and the team, none of this would have been possible! I am truly so grateful for the effort and care put into my parents stay! Pacific Hideaway was on their to-do list in HB and they had nothing but great things to say about the food, experience, and atmosphere. They were even treated to an anniversary dessert on the house. Overall I have nothing but gratitude for Frederick and the Shorebreak team! Thank you all for working so hard to make my parents stay a memorable one!

A big shout out to the front desk staff, they have been terrific every time we stay. Spencer, Jordan, Jessica and Bradley Cooper have all been simply superb. They remember us from stay to stay, which is at random intervals, so it’s not very easy to remember when we’re not just the first Wednesday of each month. Really, all the front desk staff is quite good, but these guys really stand out. Do I have specifics? No, they take care of them so I don’t have to remember anything except how good they are. Thank you for what you do and we’ll be back soon enough!

Older hotel, but we'll maintained and a staff the made me feel welcome every day. Plus, there was good Huntington Beach surf vibes!

The hotel staff was so welcoming and eager to assist. I came with a large group and Arturo remembered my special request and was so accommodating. It made my stay memorable.
