Southern California is remarkable for many reasons, but perhaps the most notable of its many wonderful attributes is a beach culture unlike any other in the world. For a true taste of sun-kissed splendor, head to Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel in world-famous Huntington Beach, California. Hailed as the original "Surf City USA," this vibrant Orange County town promises its visitors a unique Pacific Coast experience. Downtown luxury meets a relaxed beachfront vibe at the boutique-style Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel, just steps away from Main Street. The hotel is set back just enough from the action to keep a more chill, quiet demeanor. But if you want to get out there for food, drinks, shopping and festivity, these are a few awesome things you'll find right outside our front door.

Had a great stay. Upon checking in, Anna assisted us with a few requests and answered all of our questions. With her assistance we were able to find a room with a beautiful view. Anna also assisted us with requesting a late check out to fit our busy schedule. Fabulous hotel, wonderful staff, truly a restful vacation fit into a short business trip. Will definitely recommend the. Shorebreak! Thank you so much Anna!

Just returned from our stay at the Kimpton Shorebreak hotel. This is our favorite hotel and this visit did not change that at all but reinforced it. The property is always immaculate with an open air classy but casual vibe. More amenities than could be imagined. We get there and check in and the front desk staff are incredible and remember our names throughout our stay. Shout out to Spencer, Ana, and Anna lol, Mikel,Jordan,Jessica, and Freddy. In the morning we leave room and there is Housekeeper Myrna. She didn’t speak much English but spoke the universal language of a warm smile. On to breakfast and waiters Victor, Destini, and Kloey and bus Francisco. All remembered our names from previous trips and our particular wants. And wow Chef Paul actually knows how to properly poach an egg. Cudos to management for creating the kind of work environment that creates this level of service.

Stayed with my wife for a weekend beach getaway, and this hotel exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the team created a genuine sense of hospitality that made the experience feel special. The complimentary extras really added value to our stay from beach towels, morning coffee, and an evening social hour were thoughtful touches that made it easy to relax and enjoy the weekend. As a road warrior who spends plenty of time in hotels, I have to call out the gym. It was one of the best hotel gyms I’ve experienced, with a great variety of equipment to change up your normal routine, including heavy-duty lifting chains and even a climbing wall! It’s clear they put thought into creating a space that goes beyond the typical hotel gym. The front desk team was incredibly accommodating with every request. You can genuinely feel a culture of hospitality throughout the hotel, it never felt transactional, and the team consistently made us feel welcomed and taken care of. One of my favorite parts of a beach vacation (or any vacation really!) is an afternoon spritzy cocktail, and we were introduced to the Sarti Spritz Pacific Hideawat. It was delicious and we of the first few to experience it in Orange County! Thank you, Miriam, for the recommendation. We’ll definitely be back for the genuine hospitality, thoughtful service, and all the added extra touches that made this stay truly one of a kind!

Amazing experience and we loved our three night stay. The room was comfortable and quiet. We had a large balcony with table and chairs, but we didn’t sit outside. The location is perfect - central to all of the action. The staff were all outstanding- everyone had a smile, friendly greeting, and ‘can do’ attitude. The valet parking was great. I found a deal with parking included- otherwise it is $45/day. The resort fee provides a lot of value. We enjoyed’social hour’ each evening (5-6 pm) and enjoyed our beverage in the lovely inner courtyard. There are fire pits and lots of seating. S’mores are available 5-9 pm- we tried them two nights and fun to roast marshmallows at the fire pit The hot coffee and cold brew was fantastic each morning (6-10 am). There is cold pizza too, but we didn’t try it. I took out a beach cruiser bicycle each morning for an invigorating ride on the oceanfront paved path. Helmets and bike locks are available. This is included in the resort fee provides- no extra charge! The paved path is over 10 miles so lots of riding opportunities. I was there midweek and riding around 8 am so the path wasn’t very crowded. The Huntington Beach pier is a five minute walk across the street. There is a coffee shop with delicious pastries next door. There are an abundance of restaurants nearby. Tuesday evening there was a farmers market on Main Street just one block over. The street is pedestrian only and lots of stalls selling food and other items. Duke’s restaurant is next to the pier and we ate there two nights. There is a restaurant at the hotel, but I didn’t try it. We did play Ms Pac Man in the lobby - fun flashback!! We just loved this hotel, the staff, the amenities and location. We hope to return one day
