Southern California is remarkable for many reasons, but perhaps the most notable of its many wonderful attributes is a beach culture unlike any other in the world. For a true taste of sun-kissed splendor, head to Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel in world-famous Huntington Beach, California. Hailed as the original "Surf City USA," this vibrant Orange County town promises its visitors a unique Pacific Coast experience. Downtown luxury meets a relaxed beachfront vibe at the boutique-style Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel, just steps away from Main Street. The hotel is set back just enough from the action to keep a more chill, quiet demeanor. But if you want to get out there for food, drinks, shopping and festivity, these are a few awesome things you'll find right outside our front door.

I stayed here end of April 2026 for a business trip. The staff are all super friendly, helpful and they made my stay very relaxing. For example, I had minor issue with a fan in the bathroom of my room as the fan was running continuously and couldn't be switched off. When I asked Arturo and Jordan about it they sent maintenance, led by Carlos and it was fixed with less than 10 minutes. That was record time for resolving a room issue in my many years of traveling. Overall, the atmosphere and vibe here is very relaxing and you can bring records to play them in your room on the record player they provide. First time I've ever seen this in a hotel. Very cool idea! I've been listening to some nice tunes as I recover from a long day of meetings for my business trip. Thank you guys for making the stay awesome! I plan to return with my family some time!

As an Orange County local, I’ve stayed at Kimpton Shorebreak Huntington Beach Resort several times, and this was actually my fourth time coming here for a family staycation. It continues to impress every single time. Being local, I know all the beachfront hotels here offer the same beautiful ocean views, but what truly separates them is the service, and that is exactly why I keep coming back to Shorebreak. Arturo was incredibly helpful during check in. He was friendly, welcoming, and made the arrival process smooth and enjoyable. Shortly after I checked into my room, Jordan sent an automatic check in message to make sure everything was going well. When I asked about when the bell hop would be bringing up my bags, she personally went ahead and brought the luggage up herself, which was such an unexpected and thoughtful touch. The next day, Bradley made sure I had everything I needed to enjoy the day with my family by the ocean. He set me up with beach chairs, towels, blankets, and an umbrella, making the whole beach day effortless and relaxing. Jackie, the hotel manager, was also wonderful. You can actually see her around the hotel doing floor checks and making sure everything is running smoothly. She was super nice, approachable, and it is clear she genuinely cares about the guest experience. The hotel itself is in a prime location, directly across from the ocean, which makes everything so convenient. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. If available, I would definitely recommend upgrading to an oceanfront suite because it makes the stay even better! Overall, the people here are what make this place exceptional. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. For this being my fourth staycation here as a local, that says a lot. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location with a fun, laid-back beach vibe. Perfect for families, with inviting common spaces that make it easy to relax and enjoy the stay. From wine happy hour to the fire pit with s’mores, everything felt welcoming and well done. They also have everything you need for the beach, and you truly cannot get any closer to the boardwalk. Thank you to Jordan and Anna for helping make our stay such a great one.

I just want to rant & rave about Bradley specifically. He should be running this place, fr. He never stops & the guests adore him &he adores them back, even remembering faces. Before he arrives to work, the Spanish people (2 male managers, 1 front desk girl who follows their lead, &the housekeeping lady) run this place like a mob (even using an Indian security guard to do their dirty work &reject people they don’t like). They will even blast the music, turn on &off the WiFi, & block IP addresses! It’s crazy (and so female lol). But when Bradley arrives, all of a sudden, they have work to do beyond gossip. I don’t know if it’s difference of cultures, but it’s quite the funny history lesson, seeing the white guy come in, just to do the right thing while the Spanish people are all so racist (hateful) ! Maybe that’s why their countries fail ? & they come to America ? Just to ruin it? When they are put in positions of authority .. weird. When Bradley is here, you need not worry of coffee running out. He is (the only one to) restock coffee, wipe crumbs off seating, tighten ping pong table, &first to say hello to staff &guests. When there is no half n half left, he improvises with heavy cream; never one to not have a solution: what a man. The other more female (Spanish) managers in the morning are always gossiping with the mean old housekeeping lady who spends her time bullying the younger Spanish front desk guy, to KICK people out of the lobby that she deems unworthy. Meanwhile, the toilets need flushed, or paper towels need restocked; she is taking calls in the bathroom, &will even follow this one white girl into the bathroom. It’s odd & the white girl has talked to one of the (albeit, Spanish) male managers about it; for naught. Thank God for Bradley though because, everyone disperses when he arrives. It’s like he actually likes people &the industry he is in. Just this morning alone, every single guest made sure to make eyes with him to say good morning &, “hey, don’t you sleep?!” An amazing asset to your establishment.
