We arrived from Rio (and the Copacabana Hotel) on a trip to celebrate 25 years together. We had arranged a guide and various trips (through Belmond) to make the most of our stay. Jorge and Josi were our guide and driver throughout our 5 night stay including airport transfers. They were both excellent. Jorge has a huge knowledge of the area, the flora and fauna and pointed out so many beautiful things that we would probably have missed. We had a falls view room and were give a bottle of sparkling wine to help celebrate our anniversary - a lovely touch. The view from the room was amazing and every morning we could watch sunrise, the toucans flocking to the palm tree in front of our room and eating the small nuts, coatis coming out of the jungle to eat insects on the lawn, jays and vultures swooping across the falls. The location is amazing! We could go out each morning before the park opens, and people arrive (around 9.30am) and walk to the Devil's Throat (and get very wet!!), see monkeys in the trees and the most colourful butterflies. After everyone has gone (around 5.30pm) we could walk out and watch sunset from anywhere in the park. Often we would sit on the terrace bar and have some drinks and snacks and watch the sun go down. We had one meal in the Itaipu restaurant on the terrace. This was a lovely treat and the food was excellent and with excellent Brazilian wine. There is a huge breakfast selection that changes slightly each day. Eggs to order, hot and cold options and fruit and cakes / pastries. Yum! The service is excellent. Everybody speaks perfect English and really cares that you have everything you need. The best bit is the pool. Do take time to enjoy this area with ice cream cart, cocktail and snack bar. The staff are very attentive and the setting is wonderful. There were flocks of brightly coloured butterflies enjoying the area too! Very relaxing. We had trips to the Bird Park, the Argentinian side of the falls, Itaipu dam (amazing) and a helicopter trip over the dam and the falls - the ultimate highlight! Jorge made sure that our itineraries were timed to ensure we got the most out of every day. For example did you know that the falls are at their most spectacular (with the most volume of water) from Wednesdays to Saturdays? The hydropower stations start to restrict the flow from Saturday to Tuesday. We were there long enough to see the difference, and saw the flow meters on our Itaipu dam visit which was on a Tuesday - half the normal flow! My partner did the boat trip, arranged through the hotel, and was given towels and a waterproof bag for clothes / valuables -- you will get very wet!! I am so glad we stayed for 5 nights to really appreciate the area and the animals at all times of day and night. The only thing we missed out on was a jaguar sighting. The hotel location, service and facilities are well worth the expense. Having a falls view to wake up to, and the sound of the falls to go to sleep to, was amazing. This was definitely the highlight of our trip to south America this time.

You will not be disappointed! This hotel is worth the money the hotel is beautiful and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Having the falls literally at your doorstep is priceless. That panoramic view is breathtaking. And after a day walking the falls and seeing the bird park coming home to a hotel with all the extra touches (pair of Havaianas and Brazilian chocolate as a welcome gift and a little bottle of the falls water as a souvenir) made the say so memorable. Pool area is large, the rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable. Even the bathroom toiletries were a famous Brazilian brand. There are a good selection of restaurants- most need to be booked! And as expected when you're in the middle of the jungle it is on the more expensive side -BUT the food is great. Buses around the park are free and reliable (there is a stop in front of the hotel) and will take you to the entrance which is walking distance to the bird park. Getting to and from the gate on arrival and departure there is a hotel shuttle. The airport is only a very short ride to the airport. The location and the hotel are exceptional.

One of the best hotels in the world. Absolute finest service and not a thing left to be desired. It is also the only hotel on the Brazilian side of the National Park. Definitely worth every single cent.

There are so many great things to be said. In short, there is no better place to stay at Iguacu Falls. The convenience of being inside the park is awesome. The service is outstanding. We've stayed there three times and they are consistently on top of everything. Ask for a balcony and if you are an early riser have them bring a pot of coffee to your room.

Enough said! Beautiful location, room was exceptional. Lovely breakfast. The Falls are amazing and it was a treat to look out the front entrance of the hotel to see them. It doesn't get much better than this.
