Surrounded by lush rainforest, this pastel-pink hideaway grants exclusive access to the park—minus the crowds. Seeing the falls in near solitude is magical, but we offer more than just a great location. Step through our doors into a world of understated luxury. Soak up the jungle chorus while you float in the pool, stroll gardens bejewelled with orchids and sip caipirinhas as the sun goes down. Embark on the ultimate adventure at South America's first and only Forbes Five Star hotel, and you’ll never want to leave.

Not the cheapest but for the overall experience and having access to the National Park after it has closed ro general public makes it well worth while so you can see the beauty of the falls morning and evening without the crowds Food and service exceptional

This is a must stay, the hotel is amazing situated in the Rainforest with direct access to the Falls which are incredible. The staff are amazing, I had a small accident my fault, the hotel arranged to take me to hospital and ensured a member of staff stayed with me the whole time to interpret. It was truly above and beyond can’t thank them enough. The food is amazing and pool area is so relaxing. Would definitely recommend and also come back to

The hotel is beautiful. Breakfast is very good. We had a room with a view, I think is not worth the extra money.same view from the bar. What will pay every cent you invest in this hotel is that you can experience the lift and that runway before it is full with visitors. This experience of having the place almost for yourself is priceless

This is the first negative review I have ever written. Just checked in to Hotel Das Cataratas for our 20th anniversary trip. We booked our reservation through American Airlines travel and when we arrived the hotel informed us the reservation was canceled 3 weeks ago. I was shocked since I confirmed the reservation on Sunday and received another confirmation from American while working with the front desk. The hotel blamed American and offered us 1 night in a lesser room and then switch to the room we had reserved for 50% total more than the original price. I was devastated. After hours of talking with the front desk and ruining our (and our friends’) afternoon the manager finally offered us a rate that was comparable to our original reservation. The manager mentioned that this has been happening more with different reservation sites…. Which is frustrating that this luxury hotel does not have a better way to protect their travelers. I’m finally in my room and feeling really sad and disappointed that I’m not in the room I have been dreaming of for months and I can’t help but feel a little icky that they originally tried to offer such a higher price when this has been happening “more and more”. Hoping the rest of the trip is more of what I had been dreaming of.

We stayed at Hotel Cataratas at the end of our 17 days in Brazil. A perfect ending. Our room was charming and comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel neglected to make arrangements for our transport from the airport (which was included in our LL package), but they made up for the error many times over during our stay, including a complementary guide when we visited the Iguassu Falls on the Argentina side. The location of the hotel also provides access to the viewing trails for the falls during hours when the park is closed to other tourist. A real bonus that is not available to those staying in the hotel in the Argentinian park. Next time I stay at Hotel Cataratas I'll coordinate my trip with a full moon!
