We booked the Belmond on recommendation from friends and were very glad we did. The entrance to the Hotel is through the Park gates and it sets the pace for what to expect at the front desk when you finally arrive. Very friendly AND COURTEOUS staff at check in. We had a garden view room but on request were offered a room with partial view of the Falls. Although the room was a tad small it was lovely to look out and see the falls ahead. As we only had one night we chose to dine in the hotel and enjoyed a well laid out buffet dinner Ipe restaurant. The noise of the falls did not disturb in any way. The bed was comfortable . Enjoyed the luxurious bath products. we were also presented a vial of the waters from the Iguazu Falls! the icing on the cake however was the opportunity to visit the Falls before the public timings for viewing. It was marvelous to walk down to the viewing platforms and take photos without being jostled around ( as we were when we viewed from the Argentinean side). Simply loved the place.

I looked forward to arriving at this hotel with great anticipation. Everyone who helped organise our trip around South America raved about this hotel. Wow they were right to do so,it was truely spectacular. The Belmond is the only hotel on the national park. Before 9am and after 5pm the water falls were your hotels garden. Between 9-5 the falls are packed with coach loads of tourists and you’d struggle to get a selfie in front of the falls without someone’s shoulder photo bombing you! First thing we noticed when walking to the reception was how nice the hotel smelt... bizarre but it was really a smell we laped up. Everyone also has access to the bell tower. There you can watch the sun rise and set over the water falls. We arrived to our room, the porter pointed out a complimentary pair of Haviannas. A flip flop you would usually spend around £30 on in the uk. A mini bar filled to the top and also all complimentary. Next to our welcome leaflet was a miniature bottle of water with a gift tag explaining it was the water from the falls and was a souvenir for home..... nice touch! Our first evening we ate in the bbq restaurant. Probably one of the nicest buffets I’ve been to. Plenty of salad choices and all sorts of meat. The hotel organised our excursions for us and would 100% reccomend the boat trip and obviously choose the wet boat. Next up we visited the bird park, we got the free shuttle to the end of the park and then walked across the road to buy tickets. The bird park is 100% worth a visit, lots of parrots and toucans. Being in the National Park we were lucky enough to see toucans flying around us. The 2nd evening we ate in the al-carte restaurant. An excuse to wear a nice maxi dress. If you like fine cuisine then it’s worth a visit. When It came to checking out we were genuinely sad to have not spend even longer here. A Stunning hotel and anyone planning a trip to the falls would be silly not to stay here!

We had 2 deluxe room for 3 nights for the family in a separate area, the rooms are spacious and cozy, the service was perfectand really frindly, the location amazing. We appreciated the fact that you are just so close to the falls that you can go several times a day to take pictures with different sun light.

As everyone else has said, this hotel has the lucky spot in the cataratas, the only hotel actually in the national park. This is great for after hours viewing of the falls and for ambling along the path to the falls and even brisk walking along the main roads around the park. The presence of occasional wildlife, mainly coaties forever foraging for food, adds to the natural ambiance. The hotel itself is neocolonial (stretching that a bit) in architecture, and proudly pink. Our rooms were comfortable with all the usual amenities and a particular brand of nature-based toiletries. We had to watch out, though, when coming out of the bath as the height could cause someone to stumble if not careful. Kudos to the Belmond for allowing guests complimentary access to the minibar! And kudos also for giving gifts of flip flops and small vials of cascade water. I should mention that the food was good and plentiful, especially in the breakfast/ buffet cafe. We did not try the more formal restaurant as the wait was simply too long. The fare looked rather unique but not very tempting to us. We waited in the bar until we gave up. In fact in the bar there was too much of a crowd, so much so that our free caipirinhas took a very long time to arrive. Other than that, the staff at the hotel were generally efficient and friendly. A shout out is in order to Ricardo who arranged our drive to the Argentinian side and was very helpful overall. The ladies who cleaned the rooms made some dainty designs for some of our stray items. And not to be forgotten are the workers at the entry point to the park and the shuttle drivers, all of whom were very solicitous. Certainly we hope to return.

It would be very hard not to like this place. The setting is one of the most beautiful places in the world and the hotel is very nicely decorated. The pool is beautiful and nicely heated they have a gym and it really couldn't be better.
