The perfect place to stay when visiting Iguazú Falls!
The Hotel das Cataratas was the perfect choice of accommodation for our visit to Iguazú Falls. With its elegant, even palatial rooms and facilities, the Hotel is also perfectly located inside Brazil’s Iguaçu National Park. Steps away from the front door is the head of the trail that affords visitors multiple viewpoints along the Brazilian side of the Falls, leading to the great gorge at trail’s end. And the hotel served as a great jumping off point for us to explore the Argentinian side of the Falls as well. The resort also has an amazing restaurant, where we enjoyed world class breakfast and dinner. This is THE place to stay when visiting Iguazú Falls.

Wonderful Experience
Staying at the Hotel means you can see the Waterfalls at any time you want - and at dawn and at sunset they are spectacular. The Hotel is a fantastic place to stay, with great service, lovely bar and restaurants and a splendid pool to relax by when you are not out on excursions.

The best way to experience Iguaçu Falls
Not cheap, but if you can afford it, this is the best way to experience the Iguaçu Falls! The only hotel located inside the Iguaçu National Park on the Brasil side, with the first viewpoint right in front of the hotel. Elegant colonial architecture with well-equipped guest rooms. Outstanding service equaling the best of Asian hospitality - efficient and friendly, at all levels and in all departments. The cuisine is very good, although more Asian options would have been nice (the sushi is not that fresh or innovative!).

Disorganized Staff with Superior Location and Facility
Wonderful Location and Facility. This was my first experience with a Belmond property and my expectations were high. I was encouraged to make dinner reservations before my arrival due to the holiday and limited availability on location. Even though I made reservations and showed verified the confirmations, they were not honored.

Amazing stay
The most amazing experience. Every detail was thought through, even including a midnight snack on New Year’s Eve for the people who stayed up. As soon as we were checked in, our luggage was brought to our room and the hotel provided us with delicious drinks and snacks. Very welcoming environment with kind staff. The rooms were very big, with a very nice bathroom as well. Very beautiful view from the hotel rooms of the waterfalls. Additionally because the hotel is in the park, we get early access to the falls before the crowds come

We stayed at Hotel Cataratas at the end of our 17 days in Brazil. A perfect ending. Our room was charming and comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel neglected to make arrangements for our transport from the airport (which was included in our LL package), but they made up for the error many times over during our stay, including a complementary guide when we visited the Iguassu Falls on the Argentina side. The location of the hotel also provides access to the viewing trails for the falls during hours when the park is closed to other tourist. A real bonus that is not available to those staying in the hotel in the Argentinian park. Next time I stay at Hotel Cataratas I'll coordinate my trip with a full moon!
