We had a 2 night stay in this unique hotel - the position in the park is fantastic - you feel very privileged to have time in the park to visit the waterfall without "day guests", as you are able to walk the trails at dawn and sunset without disturbance for some very special views. Also tip - go for the bell tower at one end of the day views there are great ! We took the brazilian bbq/buffet option one night which was great but the a la carte was better and special. Thoroughly enjoyed drinks in the bar on the veranda too. Pool area was very comfortable and bar service very prompt. We had pre-arranged the transfer from the airport with the concierge and also helicopter flight and boat safari. Very efficient and no fuss - the helicopter flight is an indulgence but not many sights like this in the world. The safari was great - little trip through the forest followed by a trek down to the boats - great thrill - but you will get wet ! - again where in the world do you get to take a speedboat into such a place. My only slight grumble - no tea or coffee in the rooms - seemed to be the case in all the places I've stayed in Brazil so not a big problem - but there were complimentary havianas. Reception staff ( call out to Michael ) perfect and helpful at all times

Perfect location to see the falls especially if you like to visit without too many other tourists around. Restricted acces for visitors not staying at the hotel means you often get all the sights to yourself and maybe another hotel guest or 2. Service and food are very good but a little restricted selection for children. We had an11 year old who sometimes struggled to find something she liked on the menu. Breakfast is great with visitors such as the local Coati, a large guinea pig like animal, putting in an appearance as a raiding party before the waiters shoo them off Only downside is the drone of helicopters overhead, sitting round the pool is very noisy, unless you like watching helicopters of course. Hotel location is remote from the town and nearby facilities but that's probably why you would come here anyway so it's not an issue for us. Great views and lots of wildlife but in my view 3 nights is plenty of time to see all you want.

A most beautiful hotel with 'all the bells and whistles' AND the location- minutes from the most magnificent Iguassu Falls BETTER than Niagara (my opinion)!!! Part of the Falls can even be seen from Reception! If you plan to visit these glorious Falls then staying in this hotel is a MUST as you can visit them before the park gates open (9:30am) and after closing time (4pm) We had the Falls on our second day ALL to our self BEFORE the gates opened even saw a Toucan!! Such a thrill. It was wonderful to walk the Falls track with only a few Hotel guests and take pictures with NO ONE else around! We had the Brazilian BBQ buffet one night - Fabulous with many salad/vegetable delicious choices! Better value IF you have an entrée, soup, main, salad and dessert - wine is $AUD 17 per glass! A la Carte is a better choice for the less hungry! All the food we had was magnificent - so many choices! The reception, tour and dining staff were extremely helpful with anything we needed and our questions. Front desk were so great with booking a "wet boat trip" to go UNDER the falls even provided towels and thongs - so fun! It says it ALL...location location!! SO MAGNIFICENT!!!!!

This is a wonderful hotel and the service is outstanding. Yes, it's pricey but it's worth every penny to have this level of service and accommodation plus exclusive access to the falls before and after the park opens. When the buses with hoards of people start arriving, you will be glad you were able to see the falls when it's quiet. Once you take a very short taxi ride from the airport to the park entrance, you arrive at a small welcome center for the hotel. A staff person will greet you and you will then be transferred to a hotel shuttle for the ride through the park to the hotel. You don't have to ride on the park buses! The Argentina day tours that the hotel offers are first class. Our driver spoke excellent English and was very helpful. He made the trip very easy and it was worth the small extra amount to have his help. We also booked the Macuco Safari through the Belmond and were grateful for the towels and extras that they provided. The beds are very comfortable and the hotel is so quiet that we had a marvelous night's sleep. Highly recommend this hotel.

What a lovely hotel, well located within a few minutes of the falls. Beautifully equipped rooms complemented with good services. The 'top' restaurant was closed the first night for a private function (Secretary General of the UN no less in the country for the olympics) - annoying that we had no warning but we ate there the second night and it was top class indeed. The Iguazu falls, in my opinion, are better than Niagara and Vic Falls combined!
