We stayed for three nights at the beginning of a three week trip to Brazil. It was the best hotel we stayed at while in the country. Facilities, staff, restaurants, location, views, pool, room, decor, concierge and surroundings were all really first class. Couple of tips - the main restaurant gets busy so book in advance and also try and book a ā€œfalls viewā€ room to take full advantage of the hotels position relative to the falls. Really highly recommended!

This hotel is a top class hotel situated within the national park and a stoneā€™s throw from the Brazilian side of the falls. It is very convenient to visit and to admire the falls in all its glory. The park closes to the public at 5pm. One can admire one of the natural wonders of the world with absolutely no crowds after 5pm and before 9am. The staff at the hotel were very polite and efficient and went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. In particular, Rodrigo and Nacir from the bar staff made sure our vegetarian/vegan needs were catered to. We loved the place. We would love to return to this hotel someday and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to make their visit to Iguazu falls a memorable one.

An expensive place to stay but justified by the location - literally across the road from a magnificent view over part of the unique and awesome Iguazu Falls. The large hotel is on the Brazilian side of the river just a short drive from the airport and deep in the National Park. We spent 3 nights here - one day taking a guide and car to visit the Argentinian side of the falls and doing the boat ride through the falls, and a full day exploring the trails from the hotel along the Brazilian side of the falls. The river and falls were in full spate when we visited but I suspect at most times you need to prepare to get wet if you follow all the trails to the edge of the falls - we certainly got drenched both days - so get cameras and phones properly protected - but worth the effort and the soaking! The hotel itself is well run, has a great (expensive) evening buffet and impressive breakfast. The hotel highlight for us was taking evening tapas on the front hotel terrace listening to the thundering falls and watching the sunset and hummingbirds while sipping caipirinha cocktails - memorable! The hotel pool was also great and quiet, and there were many exotic hornbills and other birds and large monitor lizards around the grounds of the hotel. Not so good is the size of the rooms for the money, but to be honest we didn't spend much time in the rooms and they are perfectly adequate for sleeping! Don't miss taking the stairs to the hotel clock tower for some great views over the falls and jungle. All in all a memorable and unique experience and a great base.

This is the only hotel in the National Park where the famous falls are located. Our very comfortable room overlooked the falls and it was a short walk to the viewing area. Walking access to the falls follow on from this area - a not to be missed adventure! Great buffet provided for breakfast plus restaurant and casual eating available at the bar. Friendly service provided but the standout reason to stay here is its closeness to the famous falls. Highly recommended.

This was my first visit to Foz de IguaƧu and I couldn't think of a better place to experience this natural marvel. The service is superlative with all staff speaking English fluently and going out of their way to make guests feel welcome. The hotel is definitely NOT cheap (I paid R$1169 per night for a 2 night stay) but you're really getting an experience over a simple hotel stay. It is the only hotel in the National Park and you can literally walk to main part of the falls (Devil's Throat, etc) - it is about a 1.5km path. The picture of the falls below is literally across the road from the hotel. I was told that Dec - Feb is peak season so prices and occupancy rates are elevated but still worth it. Food at the restaurant is also top notch and not terribly expensive (by American standards, at least). Because the hotel is part of Amex's Fine Hotels & Resorts Program, I was entitled to an upgraded room in a Garden wing and a $100 spa credit - which I definitely took advantage of. The spa is beautiful and equipped with both male and female saunas that guests can use free of charge. Gym is a bit small but equipment is new and fitness area is very well maintained. Pool (see pic) is also beautiful. The hotel has a relationship with the IguaƧu Experiences travel agency that will make car arrangements for guests and book tours both in the park and outside. All in all, it was a great weekend at the park...would not hesitate to enjoy this beautiful property again, schedule permitting!
