Good but no excellent, needs more attention to details. Breakfast just ok, room kind of noisy and fine dinning restaurant very restricted in options

Expensive but defo worth it

Location location location ! Right by the Falls and you can go to the falls when it’s quiet after the public are not allowed in. It’s just the Wow factor. Food is amazing quality. Some reviews say it’s a bit dated but to us that just added to the charm of it. We also used the hotels free bikes and cycled thru the jungle on really fun cycle paths. It may be expensive but this is worth every penny !

Unmatched Location, but Disappointing Smoking Policy

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Hotel Cataratas has an exceptional location inside Iguaçu National Park, with exclusive access to the waterfalls. This privilege made the experience truly unique and unforgettable, especially being able to visit the Cataratas early in the morning and after the park closes to the public. However, one significant downside is the hotel’s smoking policy. Smoking is allowed and even encouraged in all outdoor areas, including the pool area. Additionally, vaping is permitted everywhere, even inside restaurants during meals. This greatly affected the overall comfort of the stay, particularly for non-smokers, and feels inconsistent with the hotel’s luxury positioning and with expectations of a healthy environment. Despite the incredible location and historical charm, stricter smoking regulations would greatly improve the guest experience.

Beautiful hotel, service and location

Waitress services beyond expectations. Very clean. Location top 10, to be in the Parc at the falls before and after rush hour is the best way of doing it!

An amazing experience and privilege to stay at this hotel

Access to the falls to see the sun rise and fall was a truly amazing experience. Everything at this hotel was perfect, and felt like a home from home. They even serve the perfect cup a tea with milk, which is exceptional for South America. Even during the visit of the Presidents of Brazil, Argentina etc the hotel ran like clockwork, with staff ensuring us guests had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Showing great management and staff commitment to service. A prefect stay in a perfect location

We stayed at Hotel Cataratas at the end of our 17 days in Brazil. A perfect ending. Our room was charming and comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel neglected to make arrangements for our transport from the airport (which was included in our LL package), but they made up for the error many times over during our stay, including a complementary guide when we visited the Iguassu Falls on the Argentina side. The location of the hotel also provides access to the viewing trails for the falls during hours when the park is closed to other tourist. A real bonus that is not available to those staying in the hotel in the Argentinian park. Next time I stay at Hotel Cataratas I'll coordinate my trip with a full moon!
