I stayed here for 2 nights in May & was very happy with my stay(aside from my toilet not flushing which was sorted). However upon returning home, I received a email from the hotel stating that I hadn't paid for a nights stay. My reservation was booked through a travel agency so I kindly asked them to contact the travel agency but they charged my credit card regardless even though I specifically requested them NOT to. The misunderstanding was due to my time of checkout and a lack of understanding between the hotel and travel agency but to charge me £380 for a extra night stay is ridiculous. I most certainly will not be returning!!!!

We travel as a couple and had the pleasure of spending 6 nights in this outstanding hotel. Service was uniformly excellent. Special praise to front of house Marco and Leonardo who went out of their way to to ensure all wishes were catered for. Excursions were easily arranged through the service desk. The hotel is a destination in itself with the added bonus of having Iguazu Falls at your doorstep. Spacious hotel pool was great for afternoon swims after returning from morning Falls tours. I am already working on finding an excuse to return to experience the warm and gracious hospitality again.

It was a true delight to stay at this property. Every aspect is exceptional - service especially. The staff are amazing with no issue/request too big or too small. I wish we'd been able to stay for longer and hope we're able to return!

The hotel is located just opposite the start of the trail to the waterfalls. This provides the great opportunity to visit the falls before the park opens for general entry, affording very exclusive views. Food was very tasty! In particular at the International restaurant, where staff were very friendly, and flexible for vegetarians. We stayed for 1 day and 2 nights. Recommend spending 2 days if you want to also visit the Argentina side, as the journey takes most of a day. On full moons there is an evening guided trail to see the 'moonbow' - unfortunately we did not manage to see this due to inclement weather. DO: Wake up in time to visit the falls before it opens for general entry DONT: Pay for a room with a view

This was our second stop on our Brazilian trip, We were met at the airport by our Passion Brazil guide, who whisked us effortlessly through to the waiting car with a short drive to the National Park at Iguacu gates. The drive to the hotel then takes about 15mins and is very pleasant, the hotel offers shuttles in minibuses all day long should you require them. We had experienced an awful lot of rain since we arrived in Brazil, in fact our flight had been diverted back to Sao Paulo due to severe thunderstorms, so we were already a day late at arriving at Iguacu. However we finally arrived to a warm welcome by the hotel reception staff, and after a very efficient check in we were shown to our room, which was at the front of the hotel and so overlooked the spectacular falls. The room although not huge was very comfortable and had all the amenities one could wish for. Being 'British' we were offered tea making facilities for the duration of our stay which was very welcome. The staff were extremely pleasant and very prompt with housekeeping items we asked for an iron & board and almost immediately it had arrived! Our first evening meal was taken in The Ipe Grill a large garden dinning area where breakfast is also served. An A La Cart menu was on offer and also the Buffet, we chose the buffet and there was a good selection on offer including various BBQ meats. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, We decided to eat at The Itaipu restaurant (A la Carte ) on our second night and had a truly wonderful meal, sadly as the weather was still not good we were unable to sit outside on the balcony over looking the falls. For our final evening meal we decided to eat at the bar, they do a good snack type menu, thus enabling us to try all 3 dinning options. We managed to sit by the pool one afternoon as the clouds miraculously vanished and the blue skies and sunshine appeared. This was very pleasant way to spend the afternoon, just a pity we couldn't have more beautiful weather during our stay which would certainly have made the whole experience much better. The pool area is lovely with plenty of very comfortable loungers, there were some beautiful butterflies and humming birds around too as the day warmed up. The falls are stunningly spectacular and of course even more so considering the rainfall we had. If you are lucky enough to visit Iguacu you must stay at Belmond das Cataratas. we visited Argentina side of the falls for a day with our guide. This gives you a whole other experience of the vast quantities of water flowing over the rock formations. But no other hotel come close to the Belmond, and Brazilian side of the national park is stunning. Plus you have the park & falls to yourself before and after the huge volume of tourists have been & gone a real plus!! A warm thank you to all of the staff at the hotel for the friendly efficient service making our stay a very pleasant one.
