Surrounded by lush rainforest, this pastel-pink hideaway grants exclusive access to the park—minus the crowds. Seeing the falls in near solitude is magical, but we offer more than just a great location. Step through our doors into a world of understated luxury. Soak up the jungle chorus while you float in the pool, stroll gardens bejewelled with orchids and sip caipirinhas as the sun goes down. Embark on the ultimate adventure at South America's first and only Forbes Five Star hotel, and you’ll never want to leave.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is a magical experience to walk just steps and experience the falls, without the crowds that come during park hours. We enjoyed walking to the falls several times during our stay, and each time, we saw and experienced new things. The food selection at the buffet was fantastic. The service there was terribly slow and most servers reacted like each request was something new that they had never heard before. Maybe we were there when a new staffing group was getting trained? But it was odd that even "obvious" food things (like wanting ice, the check, or decaf coffee) were responded with a quizzical look. Every request was eventually met, but it took forever and we often had to ask several times. The sleeping room was clean and comfortable. Best shower I ever had in a hotel! Pool is fabulous. Conceirge team is amazing. The boat ride and helicopter tour are definite "yes" do them. A+ experience overall!

The location is unbeatable. The colonial feel is good. You can see the Brazilian side of the Cataratas at leisure. Beyond that, there's nothing much. The available experiences are boring andDisney-likee. If you want to explore the area, staying at the Belmond is a restriction—no self-drive. Slow shuttles pedantically running at 36 km/h back and forth. Not the experience you want if you're looking for thrills and the adventure of exploration.

Fantastic colonial hotel- location with private access to the falls before and after the national park closes- for us it was sensational being alone in the middle of the falls.

It really is all about the location. It is certainly a nice hotel (with some unexpected service issues in the buffet and breakfast) but the location is what you pay to stay here for. The exclusive access to the falls is beyond compare. Views are far better than the other side.

My wife and I had the most memorable stay at Belmond Cataratas. It is a stunning property nestled in the perfect viewing spot of the national park. The benefit of being right in the park is being able to experience it all to yourself at sunrise and sunset. The room rate is expensive but the unique nature of the property, location and service for us more than justified this once in a lifetime experience. A huge thank you to all the staff who made it this so memorable from Sergio at check-in, Clyverson and Jennifer at Restaurante Y and more!

We stayed at Hotel Cataratas at the end of our 17 days in Brazil. A perfect ending. Our room was charming and comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel neglected to make arrangements for our transport from the airport (which was included in our LL package), but they made up for the error many times over during our stay, including a complementary guide when we visited the Iguassu Falls on the Argentina side. The location of the hotel also provides access to the viewing trails for the falls during hours when the park is closed to other tourist. A real bonus that is not available to those staying in the hotel in the Argentinian park. Next time I stay at Hotel Cataratas I'll coordinate my trip with a full moon!
