Magical location and magical hotel
This hotel is definitely 5* if not more, perfect location to watch the falls and the staff were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for their guests. We totally enjoyed watching sunset over the falls each evening from the hotel grounds with free glass of champagne each evening and our early morning walks to the falls before the general public was allowed to enter the grounds. We also booked a trip to Argentina side falls from the hotel and had a nice guide with his car, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was an amazing experience..

Superb Hotel, Fantastic Service
The Belmond was undoubtedly the highlight of our 3 weeks in South America. Fabulous hotel in every way. From check in to check out, this hotel delivered! Gorgeous room (deluxe), very comfortable. Impressive service from all the team. First class restaurants & bar. Excellent breakfast! And the location - simply unbelievable. Expensive but well worth the money. An unforgettable experience & the very best way to see the falls. Amazing!!

Best place to stay in Brazil. Period.
This is my favourite hotel; this was my second time here and they didn't dissapoint. It's worth every dollar because yes, it is an expensive hotel.

We stayed at Hotel Cataratas at the end of our 17 days in Brazil. A perfect ending. Our room was charming and comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel neglected to make arrangements for our transport from the airport (which was included in our LL package), but they made up for the error many times over during our stay, including a complementary guide when we visited the Iguassu Falls on the Argentina side. The location of the hotel also provides access to the viewing trails for the falls during hours when the park is closed to other tourist. A real bonus that is not available to those staying in the hotel in the Argentinian park. Next time I stay at Hotel Cataratas I'll coordinate my trip with a full moon!
