Overview

The roar you hear when you wake up at Belmond Hotel das Cataratas is the sound of millions of tons of water tumbling over the cataracts of Iguassu Falls, a natural wonder that spans the border of Brazil and Argentina. The hotel is the only one in Iguassu Falls National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – which means you can explore them long before and after the lookouts are opened to visitors. Toucans and jaguars roam the surrounding rainforest, and local flora and fauna fill the rooms thanks to paintings by Brazilian artist Ludmilla de Montes.
