Frustrating

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Well the photos looked great until we got to our room. There was a large panel hanging down from bathroom ceiling, we called but no one ever came, so I fixed it myself! The carpet was pretty dirty, my wife stepped out of the bathroom and her feet were almost black. We did tell the clerk and they gave us a complimentary night, I went to use it and was told couldn’t use it because the days I wanted was a high occupancy day, this happened a couple of times. Thinking about giving up on the it and moving on!

Magical resort with gorgeous grounds, gracious staff and novel experiences built in!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We had the most magical experience at the Tommy Bahama resort. The staff was top notch and were very attentive and the atmosphere was Tommy Bahama inspired in it's decor and colors I especially want to shout out Nubia at the front desk who was gracious and helpful when I called to request our room be quiet and if is was possible to get an early check in. She set the positive tone for the rest of the trip. The property is beautiful with lush garden paths and mature fruit trees such as lemons, limes grapefruit and oranges. One of the most novel experiences we had, was the ability to pick fruit off the trees with the pickers they provide and juice our freshly picked grapefruits at their "juice stand." It felt like we were on a farm picking ripe fruit and getting to juice and keep the extras even though we were right next to our room. You can even bring your fresh pickings to the bar and they'll juice it for you. We also loved the fire pits all around which kept us warm and provided beautiful nooks to relax and enjoy the grounds. We had dinner at the restaurant Grapefruit and Basil on Sat night. It was backed up and our food took a very long time to come out and one of the meals was overcooked. Our waitress was wonderful and did her very best along with the kitchen to replace the dish and also took them both off our bill. It's also too loud in the restaurant when it's full and the chairs though beautiful are very uncomfortable because of the strange weave of the fabric which makes it very uncomfortable to sit for long periods. We enjoyed our breakfast much more on Sunday since it was quieter and everything was delicious. Overall the a 9 out of 10 and we will definitely be coming back for another trip soon.

Wonderful experience bringing a corporate group!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

I am an in-house corporate event planner from the Midwest. I took a small (26-person) group here for an incentive trip. The conference services were top-notch, the meeting and event space was beautiful, and the banquet food and beverage was fantastic. The hotel overall is a nice blend of old and new. It is a smaller boutique property to be sure, and even though there was a large corporate group there at the same time as us (and even a couple of weddings), it still felt like there was plenty of space to spread out and meander through the beautiful walkways and citrus trees on the property. Rooms are either on the bottom level or the second floor, and I enjoyed the sitting area in my room to spread out and assemble welcome bags, etc. The rooms include a coffee maker and small refrigerator, and even though it wasn't part of the room, I asked for a microwave to cook my dinner one night and they provided it within an hour! I also enjoyed the use of the Tommy Bahama robes, as well as the provided hand soap and lotion in a signature scent. The conference services staff was so easy to work with and accommodating. I required a hospitality desk in the lobby for my group's arrival day, and it was set up before I even had to ask. The conference services included me in a group text chat so I could reach out with any questions or needs for my group. I ate at the onsite restaurant twice, and both times I greatly enjoyed the food. The lobster chowder was my favorite! Unfortunately, I did not get to use the spa, or the pool as the weather was too cool in January. I would definitely consider this property for another incentive trip in the future, or even for a nice romantic getaway!

A retreat to remember

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I went there for a spa retreat, starting the year with self-care. Spa Rosa was a wonderful experience with a different treatment each day. Face and body treatments were outstanding and staff were skilled, kind and gave excellent service. From the greeting and tour of the facilities by Megan to the spa services by Rachel, Joanna, Maria and Pilar, I couldn't have been more pleased and well taken care of. Thank you ladies. The front desk personnel gave great customer service and the room was lovely. You have a return customer here always.

Maybe the best spa resort in the Palm Springs area if not in the U.S. Beautiful rooms and excellent food all in a very intimate setting.
