Spent 6 nights in a 2 BR ocean front villa. Pricey, but worth it. There was a 1 BR unit with which we shared a common covered patio, and which is available as 3rd bedroom addition, or a separate 1BR unit. Thankfully friends of ours occupied this unit. If there were strangers staying in it, I imagine it would have felt odd. Restaurant is good although overpriced - you're paying for the lovely setting right on the ocean. Definitely rent a car and get out to the other beaches, restaurants, supermarket and wine shop! The villa had a huge kitchen. I would definitely return.

Nice well kept property. Great Dining. Came over from Fajardo for a mini-vacation of sorts to visit Isabela and Rincon for 1 night. Our luck it was raining ie liquid sunshine which put this review in a different perspective. My room was small not much different than an average hotel room not one you want to hang out in. When its rainy there is little common space to read, drink wine, etc and you can swim (pool) in the rain for only so long. That said the service was excellent. If I revisit I will ask more questions about the specific room and match it with the weather .

We received very good service. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The bedding was amazing and so comfortable. Villa Montana has two restaurants - only one was open and the food was very good and the view is outstanding. There is a bar attached to the restaurant. Our bungalow/room was several rows back and you walk to all locations such as the beach/office/restaurant. I like this set up but it could be a factor if you have a physical issue. Expect things to operate on island time - it is not a fast food operation, nor should it be. There are plenty of things to do if you like to be active. We hiked in the wooded area along the beach; went horseback riding and also took out bicycles. There is no snack type of shop so maybe take along some snacks for the beach or your room. You can also drive to restaurants that are close by. Also, there were friendly dogs everywhere - which I liked - but if you are afraid of dogs that could be an issue :)

Traveled to VM with my husband and two boys (8 & 12). We all had a great time! Everything is really accessible which is nice (you don't have to walk miles to the pools, restaurants, etc. like you do in big all-inclusive resorts). The room was nicely appointed although I was surprised that it was decorated so darkly. I guess I expected more of a tropical look/feel. Regardless, it was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There were a few negatives, but they wouldn't keep me from staying at VM again. First, the cushions on most of the lounge and beach furniture were quite worn, and the beach umbrellas were pretty rusted and hard to open Second, I thought the restaurant was overpriced for the quality. The bar makes great drinks, though, and they were well worth the cost.

I visited Villa Montana in mid-March 2017. I attended a 5-day retreat. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed the beach and both pools. The food was amazing! I am a home cook and my parents are from Puerto Rico. I loved how the food added new twists to the traditional cuisine and used influences from other cultures. I did the tasting menu on the last night and was delighted with each new course put in front of me. What an adventure!
