This resort was an exceptional location to enjoy my honeymoon! The front desk had reached out prior to us even coming, giving us details and allowing us to ask any questions to which they were very prompt to answer! They were able to help sort out minor adjustment regarding rooms for us as well. The villa we were in was a prime location right by the pool and walking distance to the beach. The Villa was bright and airy with a comfortable entrance to the patio where we could enjoy an early morning watching the birds. Crews were always trimming and Keeping the resort looking pristine and clean. Inside the villa was plenty enough space for the two of us with enough outlets and anything else that is needed! Housekeeping was prompt and did very well to ensure we had a clean villa whenever we requested. The gym at the resort had everything for a good enough workout. The pool area was nice and private, with comfortable loungers around the pool which was very clean and perfect water temperature. The beach is a bit rough to go swim in but not to worry, there are multiple beaches that can be visited within 10 minutes of the resort which makes an exciting adventure to go out and explore a little. Though the waters are rough at the beachside, it makes a great spot to just relax in one of the loungers and enjoy the sound of crashing waves taking away any stress that one may have. The Eclipse Restaurant that is at the resort has been phenomenal with every dish being prepared to perfection! The prices are reasonable considering the quality and craftsmanship of the food prepared along with the Oceanside views while eating. Also, if you’re lucky enough, you may be able to spot the iguana that is around the resort as well! Looking forward to staying here again in the future!!

I had higher hopes for this resort. Overall, my husband and I had a pretty unpleasant experience while honeymooning at Villa Montaña. Pros: -It’s a beautiful property -Food in the restaurant was fantastic Cons: -There was an 80 person wedding at the resort during our stay and it was clear the resort could not also handle basic needs of other guests. -There was little to no management or anyone in charge throughout the whole resort and restaurant. -Service in the bar was horrendous. While waiting for our room to be ready, we sat at the bar for 45 minutes before even being acknowledged by the bartender and getting a drink. The wedding guests had taken over most of the bar/pool area. Same thing the next day…30 minutes to get a drink. No apologies for the wait and very rude bar staff. -Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived and we were told we would be called when it was ready. Nobody called and when we checked with front desk an hour and a half later, it appeared as though it had been ready for a while. -Upon checking into our room, we found employee room keys just sitting in our door. -Two cockroaches in our room upon entering, after it was “just cleaned” -Trash on the floor in the bathroom and shower -Our shower did not drain properly, so every shower was standing in 5 inches of water. When I messaged the front desk about this, I received no response. One of the shower doors was also broken. -Two hours to get another roll of toilet paper. Had to go ask in person, and only then was it delivered promptly. -There was trash everywhere thoughout the resort left by other guests, including dirty towels, shoes, vapes, etc just covering the very few cabanas/pool chairs that there are. It was there at 6pm one day, and still there at 10am the next morning. No one maintaining cleanliness even in the communal areas. -We were almost turned away from dining in the restaurant one night because we didn’t have a reservation. It’s the only place to eat on property, and there was never any mention of needing a reservation. The host was rude and then a server stepped in and told us they could seat us right away. Overall it was just issue after issue and very poor service. I would not return. Find your paradise elsewhere because this is not the “luxury experience” you pay for.

I stayed in the One Bedroom Garden View Villa with a queen bed, living room, kitchenette, and terrace. The room was clean, and I did not request housekeeping during my stay. It would have been helpful to have a broom and dustpan in the room to sweep up sand. The bed was too soft for my preference, and suspect it could be an issue for someone with back trouble. I did not complain, so there may be firmer bed options. The kitchenette was nicely stocked with utensils, and the microwave and refrigerator worked well. I would recommend better lighting in the kitchenette galley. The maintenance and desk staff were helpful and friendly when I inquired about anything or interacted with them. The grounds and pool area were clean. The service at the bar and restaurant was consistently slow and delayed. The food and drinks were good once received, though. This was the only placed I stayed while in Puerto Rico, so I have no reference of local comparison. Overall, the stay was pleasant and relaxing.

This is a beautiful property located right on the ocean. It has two nice pools, one adjacent to the bar. Good food and friendly service in the restaurant. We were there in off-season, but understand it can be very busy, especially Easter. We enjoyed the quiet. The downside is that it's quite expensive. For the price, I was expecting a lush room with upscale amenities. It was on the small side and nothing to write home about. Expensive food and drinks also. Our stay was pleasant, but I doubt we'll return.

This was unfortunate stay. We originally booked for two nights but left after one. For the very expensive price we paid the quality was not there. There is very little staff and the staff that is there is unhelpful and rude. We were not given any beach towels and had to ask 3 staff and another vacationer where to find them. The WiFi code we were given didn’t work. The beach was extremely rocky and challenging to enter the water. There were about 5 beach chairs for the whole hotel. The food and drinks at the restaurant were not good. If we had paid $200/night this would have been worth it but for the larger room at around $900/night ABSOLUTELY not worth it.
