I stayed with a friend for ten days, the 10th to 20th of May. Our room, 175 was dreadful. Our view was of a ten foot high stone wall. It was dark and had no dressing table, easy chair or tea making facilities. The wardrobe was a small curtained alcove. We asked if we could upgrade and were told that there was another 'similar' room (that didn't bode well) free on Saturday, three days hence or we could pay a further1800 euros for a better room. We declined. The air conditioning didn't work so we told the Reception, plus a faulty flickering outside light. Nothing happened so the following day I asked if they had a fan; that didn't materialize either. We paid Ā£1200 each for the ten days and it was especially galling to discover that other guests had paid much less through Secret Escapes and Travelzoo. They showed us their rooms and we were impressed by their large airy quarters and balconies. We didn't continue to 'chase' the management about our non working air con' so consequently it didn't work for the entire ten days. We were there for a holiday and rest and being two elderly ladies our complaint obviously didn't carry an weight. On the plus side the staff in the restaurant and bar are lovely, eager to help and very cheerful and the gardens are wonderfully peaceful. On the last day, when we settled our bill for lunches and drinks I did ask if they would waive the amount as a token of good will for the awful room and no air conditioning, but the manager refused and didn't bother to come and speak to us personally. Needless to say we will not be returning.

Just returned from a short 5 night stay here. The whole place is idyllic, beautiful, gardens, lovely big room with a terrace and wonderful view. Superb pool (heated) and an indoor thermal pool. The staff were all particularly friendly and helpful. Wish we had stayed longer

It was an amazing short break. The room was spacious, staff friendly and the resort beautiful. It was a bit quiet but no one minded our kids running around and being noisy. There were a few other families. The pool was also great. Very relaxing and we had a great view!

My husband and I have just spent a wonderful week at this beautiful resort and both agreed this was the most relaxing holiday we had ever had. We were looked after right from our pick up transfer with Imperatore Travel at Naples airport until we were returned there a week later by the same company. We were greeted at the resort by lovely friendly reception staff (Christian and the girls)who couldn't do enough for us during our stay. They were most helpful with advice of activities and the best way to get to them. The free shuttle service provided through Imperatore travel was second to none, and made getting around so easy. We had upgraded to a superior room which gave us a lovely sea view. The pool area was lovely clean and relaxed. Breakfast and evening meals were fabulous with great selections. Worth visiting are Poseidon and Negombo Thermal parks, the Castle at Ischia Ponte, Lacco Ameno, Giardini La Mortella, and San Montano Beach. We took a local bus around the island which was quite an experience, and visited Sant Angelo and the Castle en route. Thank you to all Reception and Dining Room staff, we had such a fantastic week in this friendly resort and hope to return again sometime soon.

We spent four wonderful days here with our daughter in early May. A fabulous place! Beautiful gardens, excellent warm pool, spotless rooms, great food and breakfast selection and very friendly and helpful staff. Special thanks to Tatiana at the reception and Lorenzo at the bar! The hotel is just 5-6 minute downhill walk to San Montano beach and Negombo thermal spa, then 5 more minutes to Lacco Ameno - a charming seaside town. Walking down the same road from the hotel, but turning left into the woods instead of taking the tunnel to the beach, will take you to Giardini Di Mortella botanical gardens in about 40 minutes. The Garden part of the hotel is a lot more impressive than the Spa, but it's very clean and nice too, and, at least for us, the lush surroundings more than made up for whatever was missing at the spa. Very tranquil place, if we come back to Ischia, we will be back at this hotel!
