San Montano Resort & Spa

We spent 10 nights at San Montano for my wife’s birthday. The property is perched on top of a hill with 360 degree views of Naples, Procida, Lacco Ameno and sunset. Great food and service. The staff was very informative and helpful with insights in Ischia and making reservations for boats, tours, dinners etc. They have a shuttle into town and to 2 beach clubs.

San Montano really stood out to us for its excellent communication and service, even before we arrived. The team was extremely responsive and helpful with everything from restaurant and beach club reservations to transfers and spa arrangements. Our transportation from Naples to Ischia was seamless, and both the car and boat transfer teams were incredibly kind and professional. The staff at the hotel deserves five stars for their attentiveness and outstanding hospitality. We also really enjoyed the food, drinks, and evening entertainment. The piano player was especially sweet and even played songs in Spanish for me and dedicated one to me, which was such a lovely touch. One of my favorite meals was the grilled fish with vegetables at the poolside restaurant. Our Amalfi Room was absolutely beautiful—spacious, spotless, comfortable, and with breathtaking views. It had everything we needed and made our stay feel very special. There were just a couple of things that could be improved. We had an outdoor couples massage and were not warned about the mosquitoes, which made it difficult to relax and resulted in several bites, including one on my face. The staff was very understanding and helpful afterward. We also found that the restaurant areas could become quite hot, and having fans available would make dining much more comfortable during the summer months. Overall, San Montano was a wonderful and very memorable experience. The incredible views, pools on different levels and at different temperatures, natural saltwater pools, beautiful grounds, and exceptional service make this resort truly special. We would highly recommend it.

San Montano exceeded every expectation. The setting is absolutely breathtaking, the rooms are beautiful, and every detail of the property is thoughtfully done. What truly sets it apart, though, is the warmth and genuine hospitality of the entire team. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. The food was outstanding, the thermal pools and spa were exceptional, and the views are among the most beautiful I’ve ever experienced. San Montano is truly a rare gem, one of those special places that stays with you long after you leave. I can’t wait to return and would recommend San Montano without hesitation to anyone visiting Ischia.

My mother and I had the most wonderful experience at the spa at San Montano Resort. We treated ourselves to facials and anti-stress massages with Grazia and Gina, and it was truly one of the highlights of our stay. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel completely relaxed and cared for. The facials were exceptional—our skin looked and felt incredible afterwards, with such a noticeable difference in brightness, smoothness, and overall glow. We were genuinely amazed by the results. The anti-stress massages were equally outstanding. They were so deeply relaxing that we both found ourselves drifting off several times! It was the perfect combination of expert technique and a wonderfully calming atmosphere. In fact, my mother enjoyed her massage so much that she booked another one later in our stay. She said it was the best massage she has ever had in her life, which is about as high a compliment as you can give. A huge thank you to Grazia and Gina for making our visit so special. Their professionalism, warmth, and skill are exceptional. We'd also like to extend our sincere thanks to Antoinetta for all of her help throughout the spa booking process. She was so kind, welcoming, and helpful, making everything effortless from start to finish. We couldn't recommend the spa more highly and can't wait to return.
