Terme Manzi Hotel & Spa in Ischia, Italy

Located on the Italian island of Ischia in the village of Casamicciola Terme is the romantic Terme Manzi Hotel & Spa. Situated on the lovely town square with peeking glimpses of the Bay of Naples, this historic 19th century pensione offers a collection of cozy rooms and a Mediterranean panache that can only be found in this part of the world. Sip Chianti from your private balcony or terrace, then stroll across the cool Vietri Sul Mar-made tile floors, which complements the stenciled sea life adorning the walls.

Terme Manzi Hotel & Spa also has bragging rights to some of the island's best culinary offerings. Il Mosaico restaurant is known for its regional fare as well as classic Italian cuisine, and boasts two coveted Michelin stars. The more casual eatery, Gli Ulivi, cooks up traditional pizza, pulled from a crackling wood-fire oven. Bouganville, named for the climbing flowering vine that clings to the aged walls, is a rooftop garden bar with a zesty Mediterranean menu. You will also find a pair of bars, one with live music and the other positioned poolside. For a true European indulgence slip inside Manzi Natural Spa, with its ancient natural springs and menu of treatments that incorporates both hydrotherapy and Asian traditions. You will also find a fitness center, refreshing swimming pool and stretch of pristine beach located nearby. All roads may lead to Rome, but most watercraft will eventually moor to the shores of Ischia, perhaps to visit Terme Manzi Hotel & Spa.

Amazing stay at Terme Manzi Hotel & Spa. We originally came just to use the facilities but after seeing the hotel we decided to stay over night. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable. Spa facilities are great, both me and my partner have tried a massage as well. He went for a hot stone massage and I tried the facial cleanse and massage and would highly recommend both. The spa wasn't too busy at the tie of our visit what was great. The only thing I could pick on was the food. We went for a lunch and tried some pasta and a panini and sadly both weren't good. Very pricey as well (22 Euro for a Club Sandwich !?) Also, the fact that the hotel doesn't provide rooms with an iron was a bit of a let down. I had a day dress that I wanted to give a little press on and the only option given was the laundry services where I would need to pay £15 for a 2 minute job. Other than that we would definitely recommend and we will be back!

Stayed here for a long weekend wth my wife and we really enjoyed the stay. Staff are great attentive without being overbearing and the hotel itself is very eclectic and old world while having good amenities. We ate a couple of times at the local (non Michelin star) restaurant which offers local healthy food. Everything well cooked with interesting ingredients and an excellent wine list. Sommelier was very helpful and selected some great local wines which we both enjoyed. It's pricey but highly recommended if you want to splurge and treat yourself!

Stayed with my parents for a few days recuperation. The hotel and staff were wonderful. Facilities are exceptional and everyone working at the hotel goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The hotel organised transfers for us from Naples airport that worked perfectly and made things very easy. My mother had a massage every day and enjoyed the thermal waters, she is desperate for us to return for another visit soon. Thank you to all the staff.

This is definitely a five-star hotel when it comes to service and experience overall, so it is striking to have experienced some critical issues (which are easy and inexpensive to solve). 1. Incredibly, terribly slow Wi-Fi internet connection - this charming hotel is a place for relaxation and disconnect for some, yes, but some still need to be connected... if not for work, then maybe for their private lives. Connection is very slow and intermittent so that it is barely possible to even connect through a messenger like Whatsapp let alone videochatting via Skype etc. For the price per night paid, this is unacceptable. 2. Having seen at one of the hotel booking sites a note that there was a plasma TV-set, I was lured thinking that I will be watching my favorite movies on a big top-notch screen... not so fast - the TV in my room although flat-screen dated back probably to early 2000-s with a resolution and picture quality 10 times worse than that of my laptop. It would probably be better to have no TV-set at all than that piece of old junk. 3. No proper writing desk and desk lamp - there is one but it is more of a night lamp, which does not radiate enough light to let you read, write etc. at night in healthy lighting conditions. 4. Some policies are really strange, seen nowhere else: e.g. your in-room fridge (aka mini-bar) is reserved solely for hotel beverages - put something else and they will take it away; you have to pay if you want to have cooked eggs at breakfast - I could not believe my eyes at first, thought it was a joke... the price is also a joke ~ EUR 10. 5. While the staff is generally very courteous and friendly, they will not go way and beyond to make you happy. The place is great, do not get me wrong - especially the spa, but for the price they charge I would expect such simple things as those listed above to have never existed. Rated three stars considering the price and all the aforesaid. Otherwise, it could be an impeccable place to stay.

This is a wonderful hotel. Amazing spa facilities, lovely helpful staff, terrific food. The indoor and outdoor pools are spectacular, better in person even than in the photos on the website. We cant wait to come back
