Very Expensive for a Hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

The staff are friendly enough to say hello when they see you but don’t really hold a conversation. The rooms were adequate and inline with a typical hotel room. Nothing special, but if you’re spending all your time in your room you’re probably missing the bigger picture. Their beach area is clean with more of a tiny rock gravel instead of “beach sand” so if you have kids they won’t be building sand castles. The beach itself is long enough to walk but is very short distance to the water so there’s not a lot of room for any activities other than sitting on the beach. The food was good but nothing special and is very expensive. Leave the hotel and save money by eating local, it’ll probably be better than the hotel food anyway. Overall this “resort” is nothing special. It’s extremely expensive for a room and on top of that no meals or beverages are included which makes their prices even more painful. While it is a very clean and comfortable resort I would not return here. I would look for places with better value and amenities.

Tired

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

I’m sure in its heyday this resort was amazing, but sadly this is no longer the case. The rooms are tired really tired. Maintenance is a huge issue… a/c not working, leaking refrigerators, I could go on and on. The bones are there but unless you are staying in the new oceanfront rooms in main hotel this is a hard pass.

Great stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

We have been staying on and off for over 25 years straying when our daughter was young . We recently stayed 1/4-1/8 after 5 nights in key west with our adult daughter and new husband . Once they flew home for work my wife arrived and thoroughly enjoyed 4 nights at the Cheeca. We booked our favorite 1 br resort view suite at a very fair rate . It was a low crowd week after the madness of new years week . Every employee was very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed all three pools and the “secret” hot tub. 2 breakfasts at Atlantic’s edge and a dinner at Pierre’s were great. Tiki drink service was great the food not so much. Also did a sunset cruise lots of fun. Wife and daughter want to stay over new years next year , as would I but I have to give some thought to the almost $2000/ night rate for that period- wow ! In short lovely stay and look forward to our next trip at the Cheeca

Lovely stay, beautiful stylish hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Amazing short stay, just one night, but the hotel is beautiful, rooms are clean and tidy, parking is great. The pools and bar were wonderful and the beach area with sand pit was great for the children. Wish we could have stayed longer!

I recently stayed at the Cheeca Lodge & Spa with my girlfriend. We had purchased the package through Luxury Link. Both of us were very pleased with the accommodations and the amenities of the resort. Everything was just as the offer stated. The service was impeccable. If anything was amiss, it was quickly and courteously taken care of. The food was fantastic, and - did I mention the service? Everyone at this resort bent over backwards to make our stay was perfect. It was money well spent and a vacation to remember.
