There are very few places that have become such a meaningful part of our family’s story, and Cheeca Lodge is one of them. What started as an anniversary trip years ago has turned into one of our favorite annual traditions. Every summer, we start counting down the days until we’re back in Islamorada for mini lobster season, and Cheeca has become the place we always come back to and we love to bring family and friends to enjoy it too! From the moment you pull in, you can feel the pace of life slow down. The rooms are comfortable, the pools are well kept, the grounds are natural and well maintained and there’s plenty to do for everyone. The kids love fishing on the pier and spending hours in the pool, and we enjoy just taking it all in, sunrises, ocean breeze, and that laid back island rhythm you don’t get many places. What really keeps us coming back, though, is the people. Year after year, we’re welcomed in a way that feels genuinely warm, like we’re returning rather than arriving. Jessica at the front desk is a big part of that for us. We look forward to seeing her every year, and somehow she always remembers our family. That may seem like a small thing, but it makes a lasting impression. As a business owner myself, I know that kind of genuine recognition and personal connection doesn’t happen by accident, it’s the definition of exceptional customer service. Jessica always greets us with a smile, makes everything feel effortless from the moment we arrive, and knows the area so well that her recommendations have become part of our trips. We’ve never been steered wrong. The same can be said for the pool staff. Every single day they’re friendly, upbeat, and eager to help. Whether it’s finding chairs, answering questions, or simply greeting guests with a smile, they create an atmosphere that feels welcoming and relaxed. Their positive attitude adds so much to the overall experience. Over the years, Cheeca has been the backdrop for so many of our favorite family memories, early mornings getting ready for the water, bike rides around the grounds, time by the pool, and watching our kids grow up returning to the same place year after year. We’ve stayed at some great resorts, but Cheeca is different for us. It’s become part of our tradition. By the time we’re leaving, we’re already talking about when we’ll be back. If you’re looking for a place with great service, a beautiful setting, and a true sense of escape, Cheeca Lodge is something special. We’re grateful for every stay and look forward to many more.

Great two night stay. Staff was awesome and felt like they did their best to remember you. I won’t remember everyone’s name but thank you to Joe, Carlos and Luke for hydrating us. Rene was wonderful each morning for breakfast.

This resort came highly recommended for families so we booked it as part of our Florida keys trip. I will say staff were very friendly and the exterior grounds well maintained. Our server at the pool the day we booked the cabana was amazing and attentive. However, our room was very tired and could use a refresh. There were holes in the carpet , water stains in the ceiling in the bathroom from obvious water damage from room above, the hot water was either scolding hot or luke warm, lightbulbs that needed replacing and the decor /finishes dated overall. There is also a ton of sargassum and the smell was pretty awful. I know the sargassum is out of their control but for the price they charge for their “resort fee” you would expect them to make a little effort to periodically remove it, even if just weekly. Overall we did enjoy the grounds of the resort but probably would not return.

Cue the Beach Boys… “Aruba, Jamaica, ooh I wanna take ya…” except for us, it was Islamorada, and we couldn’t have picked a better place. Cheeca Lodge was everything we hoped for and more. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to come back. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. A special thank you to our concierge, Anne, who was absolutely wonderful. She took the time to recommend family-friendly activities both at the lodge and around Islamorada, and every recommendation was spot on. One of the best things about Cheeca Lodge is that there’s truly something for everyone. We loved paddleboarding, kayaking, riding bikes, fishing off the iconic pier, and relaxing by one of the three beautiful oceanfront pools. There’s even complimentary golf, which we’ll have to try next time. Our lagoon-view room was peaceful, beautiful, and impeccably maintained. The entire property is stunning, secure with gated entry, and complimentary parking made everything easy. We also had a fantastic dinner at Mia Cucina. The food was excellent, but what really stood out was how kind the chefs and staff were to our kids. It’s those little touches that make a vacation memorable. The complimentary 24-hour shuttle made exploring Islamorada effortless, and having a 24-hour convenience store just across the street was an unexpected bonus. Islamorada truly captured our hearts. It has that laid-back Keys vibe without the crowds, making it the perfect destination for families looking to relax while still having plenty to do. Cheeca Lodge has mastered the art of hospitality. We arrived as guests and left already talking about our next trip back. If you’re dreaming of your own little slice of paradise in the Florida Keys, this is it.

Food brought out in to go containers and it just sits there until whoever it belongs to is found. While waiting to order food at “25 SOUTH” simple questions asked could not be answered. Top dollar for very poor quality food, brought out in a to go box to eat with disposable utensils.

I recently stayed at the Cheeca Lodge & Spa with my girlfriend. We had purchased the package through Luxury Link. Both of us were very pleased with the accommodations and the amenities of the resort. Everything was just as the offer stated. The service was impeccable. If anything was amiss, it was quickly and courteously taken care of. The food was fantastic, and - did I mention the service? Everyone at this resort bent over backwards to make our stay was perfect. It was money well spent and a vacation to remember.
