Cheeca Lodge & Spa

We had the best baby moon relaxing at Cheeca! A special shoutout to Tyanna P. who went above and beyond to make our trip special.

Beautiful hotel, lacking in some of the execution of 5 star service. Update the rooms that are not in the main lodge. Similar pricing but not the same quality.

Unfortunately, this resort did not meet our expectations. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous. But, everything else is just so so…. Our room was super dinky- and felt dirty. Our carpet was crusty with stains. The shower barely work with low water pressure and our toilet kept backing up and requiring maintenance. Also- the double doors that “could” open from the bath tub with glass need to be removed. They can’t open bc a bed is there and when you turn on the bathroom light it projects through the glass and at night disturbs those that are sleeping. Also for some reason there were dead bees everywhere and about 15 on the patio ceiling. The pools were fine- nothing super special. The restaurants, the same. The family games and equipment is located in a remote place out of sight, and in my opinion should be out on the beach to encourage use. Scheduled activities were limited and boring. I had to inquire about yoga etc bc those were listed in the displayed sheet.last year we stayed at Isla Bella on Marathon Key- we will likely go back there.

We have visited Cheeca Lodge many times over the years and really enjoy the experience. The staff is friendly and attentive, the rooms are fresh and clean, and the food at the many restaurants is excellent. We also enjoy the many activities included including the par three golf course, the beach, pools, and pier. If you are looking for a beach resort experience in the Keys, Cheeca Lodge should be at the top of your list.

We really had a great time. Special shout out to the tennis coach and the astronomy/telescope expert who comes on Wednesday night. Great service and fishing.
