No disappointments at Cheeca Lodge & Spa. Had a nice time. Great for couples and kid friendly. Plenty of activities for guests. Service was great, staff is friendly. Golf course was ok. 9 holes, all par 3's.

I have been to the Cheeca four years in a row . It never disappoints us. Extremely clean great service lovely people especially Rene in the restaurant. You feel like your in Hawaii. Wonderful restaurants in the bay to watch the sunset. Will be returning next year again.

We were fortunate enough this year to be able to go for Spring Break 2017. This time we stayed in a golf course view room. The room was clean and nice all amenities were working well and had no issues what so ever. If you are someone that truly understands the “Florida Keys” lifestyle, then you will love spending time at the Cheeca Lodge. Everything is green and lush, the grounds are maintained very well. It is so relaxing peaceful and quiet. Each day we enjoyed riding the bikes up and down the island, lounging by the pool, and playing tennis then winding down in the hot tub before heading out to wonderful local dining a lot of which are just a short walk away. NOTE: The water is a bit cooler this time of year but it didn’t stop us from fishing and having a fantastic time. We are already planning our trip for next year.

Beautiful, laid back but fun place to vacation with couples or friends. Property was beautifully maintained and manicured. Staff was incredibly friendly and professional- especially Maggie at the Tiki Bar- girl can mix some drinks! And Andre and Fabian at the front door- so helpful! Love the complimentary rental of water equipment- SUP, kayaks, canoes- nice still water to paddle and explore. We even saw a dolphin while we were SUP. Would definitely come back here again and again. Only small annoyance was coffee in the lobby was $4/cup. I would expect a resort of this level to offer complimentary coffee to its guests.

We did not like the outer buildings. The one we were presented with was musty and worn down and a bit dark (even though it was ocean front). Our room in the main lodge building was dramatically different and lovely. It was fresh and open and had lovely amenities. I would recommend the resort if you were staying in the main building. The resort has nice features including good tennis courts with excellent tennis pros available for tennis lessons (Danny was a terrific teacher), bikes available to use for no charge to bike around the property or off the property to shop or sight see, a small golf course, a nice fishing pier and a nice pool area. The resort is very good for small children and the pool is full of them which for us was nice. There is an attendant at the pool who will find you chairs and towels with a smile on his face and a place to order food and drinks to eat at your pool chair. The beach is a typical keys beach which is nothing like mainland Florida or the Caribbean but the resort does a good job maintaining what they have in an environmentally friendly sort of way. The breakfast buffet is actually outstanding and I would highly recommend indulging in it. The buffet is of average size but has a terrific assortment of very high quality food including an omelette station. Overall a good family resort if you stay in the main lodge.
