Cheeca Lodge & Spa

I was quite surprised to find how the resort has evolved into a top level Florida Keys experience. The accommodations in the new wing are amazing even for the most discriminating traveler and the rest of the facilities are well-maintained. A few things to keep in mind, this is the Florida Keys and the staff is very friendly and well trained however, they are still island casual, and more on the scale of what you find in the Bahamas. For those who don’t know, there is no beach here to swim in, What you do have is an amazingly chill tranquil experience on the water. Great for families or couples it all works here.

My wife and I were treated like royalty from the time we drove through the gate to the departure ... just what the doctor ordered for her respite (and mine) as she recovered from surgery the week before. The oceanfront rooms are hard to leave as they are spacious, luxurious with a magnificent view from a balcony equipped with a soaker tub. Even the walk-in glass shower had an ocean view. We had two pools right by the water to consider with pool-side services under restful palm trees. The front desk manager Edgar knew just how to accommodate our needs. Breakfast for me was an omelette loaded with chunks of lobster! They made it worthwhile for us to go out of the way from south Florida mainland! We will be back!

Average. Not terrible but not what you expect when you are booking at a premier hotel with a premier cost. Staff is friendly. Room was not the cleanest with some bathroom issues. Room service took quite a long time.

Beautiful stay with a great view. Everything was very clean and the staff was nice. I’d love to come back to check out the spa.

Beautiful views, fantastic food, and staff was incredible! I can’t wait to come back! They have paddle boards, kayaks, a kids camp, an activity center, multiple pools, multiple hot tubs around the property, fishing off the dock with poles & bait provided, a snorkeling excursion that leaves from the dock, bikes you can use, a golf course and putting green with free clubs provided, tennis/pickleball courts with racquets provided, etc. Also, for every adult meal purchased at Mia Cucina (one of their restaurants) you get a free kids meal. The other restaurants on site are Atlantics Edge & Nikai (both incredible), and they have a poolside menu! The grounds are stunning, you’ll feel like you’re in the jungle! & there are all kinds of fruit trees. Their free shuttle will take you around the area, including across the street to their other restaurants, Beach Cafe and Pierre’s.
