We just returned from a perfect week at the Cheeca. From champagne at check in, to shuttle service around the island, to well planned kitchenette in our suite, it was a pleasure. Great amenities. Great location. (We walked to the Lorelei, Morada Bay, Chef Michaels, the Trading Post). Can't wait to get back. Our children loved the property, Cheeca Water Sports para-sailing, and having free reign of the place. Couldn't have asked for better weather. And, Jean, the best waiter ever, deserves a raise!

We were here for spring break. Resort is beautiful-we stayed in the main lodge/suite rooms. Pool, grounds, amenities all great. Excellent service -from all staff. Our only critiques - Bathrooms were spacious but a little hard for families (no privacy between shower and rest). Would have loved another casual/takeaway restaurant for quick breakfast/snacks day we were there had high winds and water activities limited

We are returning guests to Cheeca Lodge. We went on Family Vacation to the Keys years ago and had great time at the resort. The Keys are a tropical paradise but just about all the hotels and restaurants are trashy, Cheeca Lodge is a stellar exception. It offers nice accommodation and multiple sport activities, separate pools for families and adults, golf, waterspouts and organized excursions. There are not really great beaches on the keys but this resort has the premium nature can offer around there. The water, crystal Caribbean. Dining options for everybody, from casual, barefoot to formal. Great for families or couples. You don't have to leave the grounds for anything but a great base camp located midway between Miami and Key West in case you want to explore. The service is great. I prefer the so called resort view rooms over the waterfront or the golf course view rooms. They offer private feel and beautiful view of tropical vegetation and artificial lagoons from the balcony. The rooms were spacious, Caribbean luxury style, small buildings, convenient designated parking, easily accessible by elevator. Recommend without reservations! Have fun!

We have stayed at the Cheeca on multiple visits to Islamorada. We are always pleased with the service, and the grounds are truly lovely and well kept. This time we stayed in one of the rooms overlooking the golf course, and we really enjoyed it. We had a screened in balcony, and parking was available right under our room (plus an outside elevator). We have only stayed in the main building in the past, so we didn't know what to expect and were concerned that the "out buildings" might not be as nice as the higher priced rooms. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the same level of detail and luxury was included in these rooms as well (love the linens, lighted makeup mirror, turn down service, and bathroom appointments especially!). We were there for spring break, so the prices were higher than usual, but that is true for any prime destination at that time of year. I enjoyed the kid-free pool (and an excellent mojito!) one morning when my son and husband were fishing, and then we frequented the family pool for the rest of our trip. A young man who was working the towel stand at the family pool was very accommodating...moving chairs around for us and spreading our towels out on the chairs (Trevor maybe?). That is just an example of the kind service we always receive. We also played tennis several times. The tennis courts are well maintained like the rest of the facility. Is the Cheeca the newest or most modern resort in Florida? No, its' not. But it has tons of character and is always a welcoming place to slow down, enjoy a little pampering, and relax for a few days. We will be back again next year and are already looking forward to the trip!

This is a beautiful property in a premier location with a wide range of room type choices, activities and dining options. The problem is the staff who are disengaged at best. Starting with check in, it was a bad experience. We were ignored for a few minutes and then checked in by the most disinterested individual we have ever encountered at a hotel front desk. We felt we were a bother. At the restaurant and bar the service is painfully slow and housekeeping is a disaster. We had to call three times to get our room serviced. A terrible waste of a beautiful site. This is almost certainly a management and training issue, but not worth your time or money until they figure it out.
