Hotel Villa Ottone

Fantastic facility with a private beach. Freindly and helpfull staff. Wifi sometimes not stable. Good food at good price, breakfast OK. There was a noisy wedding, but the management handled the situation properly. Highly recommended

The place is nicely set up but for a 5 star hotel the breakfast was very poor and all the cakes are dry. Some staf looked over tired and not able to take the order. I thought for what they charge you could easy go somewhere different and better.

We have nothing but good things to say about the hotel and staff. Our cottage seaview room was spectacular.....clean, comfortable, with a great view! The restaurants were excellent as well. The staff was helpful in securing reservations, pointing out beaches, etc. The only thing we would have preferred is a sandy beach, however, the swimming shoes we purchased (very reasonable) at Conad supermarkets addressed that issue:-) The hotel is also convenient to the ferry and is a perfect size....not too big and not too small.

We spent a very nice week at this hotel that we’ll remember for a long time. The hotel is beautiful, the beach is nice, and the level of service is second to none. We really enjoyed the dinner and the attenti personnel: Giuseppe, Cristophe, Cecilia, Andrea, … Yes, the hotel has some small issues: wifi doesn’t work well, rooms could be bigger, tv set is small, but all this is minor compared to the beauty of this place.

Gone glory. Why this accomodation still holds 5 stars is a mistery to us. Decades ago this was probably glorious compared to the standards of that period. Standards have changed, unfortunately the accomodation didn't change with it. The location is absolute stunning, no denying that. The room however...dont even know where to begin...dated, hairs are covering a moldy and with calcium deposited bathroom. Ants made a nice highway across the bedroom wall. A frontdoor that wont fully lock. When having a taste for coffee a sachet of desolvable coffee is offered...no machine...would however be nice if that sachet was actually full. Leaking airconditioning outside on the terras of which the exit water of the airco just runs on the terras itself. Beds our nice and comfortable though although we hope, and maybe pray a little, that the brown stain we found of the footend of the bedsheet is chocolate and not some bodyly fluid left by the previous guest. We are appreciative and humble people and are not the type that complain abiut neglectable details. But this accomodation holding 5 stars is a miracle on its own.
