Arrived around 6am in hotel but unfortunately they said they have no room available yet at that time so i waited til nearly 12nn for a room to be available. Reception staff was friendly enough to give me a WiFi password so I can have access while waiting. The location of the hotel itself is very good, few minutes walk to Taksim square and shops nearby. For location I would give it a 5*. My room was upgraded to a suite which was really nice. The room was also 5*, very comfortable bed and bathroom has Molton Brown toiletries, and “Alexa” but in Turkish. Breakfast was not at par with its 5* rating. It was dull, boring and not sufficient. Could be better. Other staff were not that helpful when I asked for direction and stuff.

Great location. Bear in mind no kettle and no iron provided in rooms - mine was a double with lounge suite and 2 bathrooms - so kind of expected all facilities. Fabulous big pool near empty too - swim cap required for €30 though so buy elsewhere first.

If you want to live comfort, at good part of Istanbul, not far from downtown and near the metro - choose this hotel. Comfort, respective, not so much expensive. Personal so much professional and hospitality.

The Divan is delightful. Enjoy Molton Brown toiletries and a position at the top of Taksim Square, but not in the square. There is public transport nearby - but neither google or I could figure out how to use its confusing interconnection of tunnels and trains and all that on our own. Luckily, I had a friend living there to help navigate the way. The location means that you can walk down Istiklal Street to get to most things you want/need. Including the Turkish Towel vendors, any kind of restaurant or nightlife you want.

Well this hotel is in a good location and it has some good facilities but be aware of you like swimming with your kids, you have to be v v v v quiet because they are next to the message center. The guy who work there is not friendly and any question you ask will reply go to reception... if you cant answer why you bother working !!!!!
