Divan Istanbul

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. During my stay, I left a significant amount of cash in my room. While I was out, housekeeping entered the room, and when I returned, the money was missing. I immediately reported the incident to hotel management. What was most frustrating was the way the hotel handled the situation. I was repeatedly told that they would investigate and get back to me, despite the fact that they knew I was checking out and leaving the country the following morning. Instead of taking urgent action while I was still on the property, I was given vague assurances and no meaningful resolution before my departure. Losing such a large amount of money is upsetting enough, but the lack of urgency, accountability, and transparency from management made the situation even worse. As a guest, I expected the hotel to treat such a serious matter as a priority, especially when there was a very limited window to investigate before I left. This incident completely overshadowed my stay and left me with serious concerns regarding the security of guests’ belongings and the hotel’s response when something goes wrong. I would strongly recommend that future guests keep all valuables in a secure safe and exercise extreme caution. Based on my experience, I would not stay here again. Despite repeated promises that the matter would be investigated and that I would be contacted, I have still not received a satisfactory explanation or resolution.

Dirty sheets, unfriendly staff, and the air conditioning in our room did not work during our stay. The manager never properly helped us until the last day of our trip, when they finally offered to move us to another room — but we were leaving at 5am, so it made no sense. Very disappointing experience. I would never stay at this hotel again, even if they offered me a free room.

Divan is a superb 5 star hotel. We went all over Turkey and stayed in 5 star hotels as well. Divan is by far the best hotel. It surpassed all expectations. The staff treats their guests like royalty. Their amenities supply are top notch brands. The staff in the spa are always ready with towels & bathrobes. They make sure that they give u a dry set everytime u get out of sauna, steam, Turkish bath. Their breakfast & dinner menu are A++ and diverse enough to cater to everyone including vegans & vegetarians. Our server, A Rahman Gecer, sees to it that our cups are filled with coffee or tea. And he always checks if we need more eggs. Thank u Divan for a wonderful experience

We stayed at Divan Istanbul for a total of 4 nights, split at the beginning of our trip and at the end. We LOVE staying here! Great ambiance and very comfortable beds. We always look forward to the breakfast buffet. Shoutout to Rahman and his peers at the breakfast restaurant. They took care of us and cannot ask for more. Thank you for making our stay awesome.
