Reviews for Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul
What a wonderful hotel! The location is perfect. The rooms are delightful but it’s the friendly staff that really top things off to perfection. Our lovely breakfast waiter, Serkan, took time to teach us Turkish, which we practiced every day. The porter greeted us by name. Reception treated us as friends and walked us to our room. The pool is an awesome place to unwind. This place has it all!!!
very nice location, staff very well trained and breakfast amazing. The room was very clean and they have indoor swimming pool. The lobby well furniture. One of the amazing point i like in this hotel is how the staff dealing with me and my wife. Thanks for Merva and Levent.

Pretty nice hotel, very beautiful lobby and common area. Rooms are good but no as fancy as common area. Great spa, and reasonably priced for this type of hotel. Service however has room for improvement, lack of hospitality and attention to details for a shangri la. But this is true for all 5 stars in Istanbul unfortunately. Food is pretty good overall. Too bad it does not have outside terrace or restaurant.

I stayed at this hotel for six days with my husband and my son (from 21 to 26 March) and in room number 430. At the time of arrival, we were warmly welcomed with an reception staff. The hotel's lobby was very beautiful and decorated well from wall mounts to its charming Chinese pots. The room that we had been booking from a month ago was facing the sea. Unfortunately, when we chose this hotel, we did not notice that it was opposite the ferry station, and the station's voice was very scary at all times of the day. And this is one of the weak points of this hotel for me. The breakfast was good, and everything you needed was good, and there was a good staff and waiters. Only the point of weakness was the service of corner sides of the restaurant, a long time you should waiting for bringing the ordered tea or collecting the plates. The tables in the central part of the restaurant and tables near the waiter’s station were better served. Compared to Penang and Sentosa Shangri-La resorts and hotel, this hotel was much smaller and did not have the space to walk, and was not enjoyable. It was not suitable for a holiday and family, and more suitable for business men to stay in this hotel for their work. Our room was good and clean, and every day, at the time when we went out for breakfast, the housekeeper was cleaning the room and thanking her for her work. Unfortunately, the pillows were not suitable for my and husband neck, and in this respect we were in trouble. Every day we wake up with the neck pain. We did not go to restaurants in the city for dinner and we used the room dinning. The last night (25 March) at the hotel was a wedding ceremony, and when we called for a room dinning, they cut the phone call and refused to accept order. So, we were forced to go to the restaurant next to the hotel for dinner under the rain. Overall, I was not satisfied with our stay at this hotel, in line with our previous experiences with the Shangri La Hotels (twice in Penang and once in Sentosa). Special thanks to all of the hotel's staff.

Wonderful spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. The bathroom is pure perfection and style. The food is very delicious and served beautifully. The personnel is very professional and invisible in a good way. I had a perfect stay without anyone disturbing my privacy.
