Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul

This was one of our best hotel stays ever. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is gracious and helpful at every moment, the breakfast is amazing. The view of the Bosphorus is stunning, and the ferry to old town is very close. If we ever are back in Istanbul, I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Thank you to everyone for a truly memorable and special stay with you!

A very welcome reception on arrival. We were early to arrive from our cruise ship and the hotel was generous to offer us coffee and snacks while we waited for check in time. They were kind enough to accommodate us in an upgraded room checking in at midday, which was much appreciated as it allowed us to get on with exploring the city while the weather still held. The location of the hotel is great. Lovely views of the Bosphorus, right next to Dolmabahce Palace and a 15 minute walk to catch the T1 tram into the old town. The rooms are tastefully decorated however a couple of things were not to our taste. The only teas in the room were Oolong and Early Grey. There was some confusion in our efforts to organise herbal tea as an alternative. We also found the bed to be very firm in spite of a topper pad. It would also be preferable to have smart TVs to enable guests to access streaming services. Breakfast was extensive and good quality. Dinner at Ish Too was good, nice views to watch the ferries coming and going.

There are not adequate superlatives to describe our stay at the hotel. We were there three days in late October 2025. Our experience was absolutely perfect. From the Bell Captain to the room service and housekeeping to the Customer Service Manager they were all just the best. I am sorry I did not get the Bell Captain's name as he is a wonderful representative of the hotel itself. He greets every single person with a smile and kindness every time you walk in the front door of the hotel. The hotel is consistently ranked as one of the best in the world and it deserves the accolades. It is clear from the moment you walk in the hotel that everyone there loves being there and loves caring for visitors. It is a culture that I am sure took years to build. The building itself is breathtaking but it is the hotel staff that makes this hotel worthy of your bucket list.

We had a superior experience at this hotel, recommended by our travel agent. We loved being on the Bosphorus and we were happy to learn the ferry to the Asian side was right by our hotel for a quick hop to dinner. The hotel staff, from the doorman to housekeeping, made us feel so welcome. And the concierge team, led by Ercan and Gökhan was superior in every way and helped us navigate our dinners and tours with ease. They also made themselves available for last minute changes in our schedule. Did I mention the breakfast buffet? A bountiful layout with tables overlooking the Bosphorus. It was a fantastic way to start our day in Istanbul.

A truly amazing stay with great staff very kind i booked a car from them and the driver was very king and friendly.One of the best hotels in istanbul.
