The location of this hotel is great, with great beach access.. Almost like a private beach. However, the beach was a bit dirty and covered with beer caps, which came from the waiters opening bottles for customers. The pools need a total restoration, as a lot of the tiles were missing. Food was ok and the service at the restaurant was great.

We had been camping with family for three nights when we finally decided to keep our reservation at Hotel Las Brisas, once we pulled up, tired, sunburned and mosquito bitten, the Hotel staff were immediately ready to help us from valet service to check in and taking our bags up to our rooms. Note: during check in the preauthorization will be a pending charge and when they try to run your card again at checkout it will then be another charge. After which then the preauthorization will drop off but not without having affected your credit limit for the weekend! Anyways, we were very pleased with our bedroom especially the bathroom and amenities. We must have showered 3-4 times that day after camping! We didn't get a chance to explore the Hotel very much as we were only there for one night and were very tired, we did however get a chance to eat at their casual restaurant which was very good. Note: some of their restaurants have a dress code so if you only have beachwear you may not be allowed to eat there. Anyways overall I think we had a good experience! Thank you Hotel Las Brisas

We actually discovered this property through reviews on TripAdvisor and could not have been happier with the choice! Though first opened some 30 years ago, the property is extremely well maintained and holds up very well against newer and more expensive hotels. More importantly, the private location and unique terraced design set it part from the more conventional resorts further down in the Hotel Zone. We opted for the European (non-inclusive) plan since we enjoy visiting the local townships and restaurants. This worked out well since some of the higher end dishes we enjoyed at the resort were not included anyway. For those likely to incur higher bar charges and who prefer just to stay within the resort, the inclusive option may make more sense. The food was overall very good. That said, our dinner at Las Brisas II was absolutely exceptional. With it's stunning outdoor location, try to get a reservation for just before sunset and enjoy yourself for a couple of hours. The service was top notch as was the food. Treat yourself to a table-side Spanish Coffee to wrap up the meal. The downstairs El Mexicano restaurant was very good, and Bellavista is fine for breakfast, though we found better value ordering a la carte rather than buffet. Again, your preference for the buffet may vary if you prefer a huge breakfast (or lunch/dinner) but we preferred just to get fresher versions of smaller portions. Regarding accommodations, we found no compelling reason to upgrade beyond the standard (King bed) room. Every single room has a stunning view and private patio. We were located on the 16th floor (which, because of the terracing into the hillside, is actually below the lobby level) and about 10 doors down from the elevator end of the hallway. (Important note here: The elevators are at one end of the corridor, and just a very long staircase at the other end. You'll want to be a bit closer to the elevator side unless you're a stairclimber super-fan.) Also, the secondary elevator that goes down to the beach level is accessible from the 10th floor (which, strangely, is the actually the lowest floor of the main hotel). Regardless, every room is going to provide you with comfort, privacy and spectacular sunsets. Overall, we highly recommend Las Brisas Ixtapa, and will very likely return to enjoy all it has to offer.
