Reviews for Las Brisas Ixtapa
Booked the trip as “all inclusive “ but at check in, there was confusion as to what was included. Extra deposit had to be made and meals were added to our bill. Every manager we spoke with had a different answer. The matter has not been resolved yet. Staff is pleasant but management needs better organization. Resort and grounds are very nice, relaxing. Private beach, very nice pools and amazing sunsets!! Would recommend but have very specific language in your “all inclusive “ plan.
We recently stayed at Las Brisas and were more than pleased that we had chosen that property. Excellent views, great beach (but not for swimming as red flag was out all week), lovely pools, nice rooms and excellent food. The people working there were wonderful too. The only downside was that it was too hot and humid during our visit to walk into Ixtapa. It's only 15 to 20 minutes away on foot and much closer by taxi. Which is what we chose to do. Las Brisas is not on the Ixtapa hotel strip, but rather tucked around the corner so to speak. So it feels very private and exclusive. We stayed on an Air Canada Vacation all inclusive package. Definitely would return and use Air Canada again..

This was our 2nd year in a row staying at Las Brisas Ixtapa and it didn’t disappoint the 2nd time around. Our favorite feature of this property is the beautiful private beach. Always plenty of palapas and cold bottled beer, good service, and the WiFi is very good on the beach as well. We love the Lobby Bar-amazing place to watch the sunset every evening. A special thanks to Pollo and Vladimir for their amazing, friendly service in the bar. I wish I could remember the concierge’s name, she helped me order flowers for my wife for our anniversary and arrange for dinner reservations in Zihuatanejo as well, she was so sweet and friendly. Breakfast was excellent every day. I wish I could comment on the dinner restaurants but we tend to go into town to eat in the evenings. We enjoyed a couples massage in their brand new spa-they were excellent and the front desk service was superb as well. Last but not least is the maid service, they work very hard and did an excellent job keeping our room clean everyday. I really can’t say enough nice things about this property, we will never stay anywhere else but Las Brisas when we return to Ixtapa, which we surely will. Keep up the great work, the entire staff is amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at this resort. The hotel. while built quite some years ago has lots of charm. It was designed to suit the hillside landscape in a Mexican style and architecture. The result is pleasing with lots of tile and open spaces. Our room was very comfortable with 2 double beds, a sitting area and large balcony. Tiles on the balcony could have used a repaint and the teak furniture could have used some stain.. The bathrooms are rather small reflecting the era when the hotel was built. There are no fans in the bathroom resulting in a steamy bathroom after taking a shower. However none of these issues spoiled the overall ambiance of the hotel. The staff were lovely, always eager to please. The infinity swimming pools were a delight and there were always lots of available lounge chairs The beach is beautiful with lots of space and lots of chairs. The food was excellent with lots of fresh fruits, salads and other choices at the buffet. We especially enjoyed lunch at the Solarium restaurant overlooking the swimming pools. This restaurant offered both buffet and a la carte at lunch. Dinner at Las Brisa ii overlooking the ocean was a delightful combination of views and excellent food. The hotel is located at the far edge of the tourist zone, a quieter location. A 15 minute walk down the hill brings you to the shops, markets, restaurants and nightlife in Ixtapa. A taxi ride costs only 60 pesos. This makes the resort an ideal location for those who want to be away from the crowds yet close enough to enjoy the town amenities when the mood strikes. For those who want a longer walk there is a bike path that goes 9 km to Playa Linda. The area around Ixtapa is beautiful and interesting. The Zihuacan La Choie cultural and archaeology tour was very informative. Our guide from Acuario tours was very informative and we learned a lot. Another enjoyable tour by the same company was a combination tour of Las Gatos beach and Ixtapa Island. And all day event with a scenic 40 minute boat ride from the beach to the island made this a circle trip tour. Their Combo City and Country tour has interesting and scenic highlights in spite of a useless stop at the marina and a boring hour at a coconut plantation.

Great Place, we were looking for a great beach, good food and a quieter (no bad tacky entertainment). Definitely a more family type environment, and great for a unwind holiday. The rooms were clean, and the staff very friendly. The whole place was spotless and very well maintained.
