The Rusty Parrot Lodge in Jackson, Wyoming

A member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the Rusty Parrot is Jackson's most acclaimed lodge. The hotel has earned a long list of awards and been featured in national and international publications. Like the town itself, the Rusty Parrot is a paradox: A family-run 32-room lodge that's one of the top small luxury hotels in the world. It caters to the traveler—not the tourist. The owners and staff delight in sharing inside information about the town and area they love. Their passion for Jackson Hole and personal attention to guests just isn't found at larger hotels. Earning the AAA Four-Diamond award for eighteen years in a row attests to that passion.

While each room at the Rusty Parrot is individually appointed, there are some aspects that are constant in every room: All have the finest linens, plush towels, soft terry robes and slippers, L'Occitane bath amenities, flat panel satellite television and free wireless internet. In a free-standing facility on the property you will find The Body Sage Spa home to some of the finest massage therapists and estheticians in the valley. Good food, good wine, good service and good company are all part of a great dining experience. Dinner at the Wild Sage offers a Jackson Hole perspective on fine dining and extraordinary hospitality. The 8 table, 32 seat Wild Sage offers exceptional regional cuisine rooted in classic preparation and incorporates the West’s finest and freshest meats, sustainable seafood, and organic produce and ingredients. And during your stay perhaps the owner will share the story on how the property got the name Rusty Parrot, since parrots are not the first thing you think of when planning a trip to Wyoming!

The Lodge was charming and the staff were wonderful. We have already booked 2 return trips! We loved the room and the food was fantastic. The Lodge is located in the center of town, so it was a pleasure to be able to walk everywhere. The shuttle to the Village was on time and spacious! Our spa treatments were excellent. We would highly recommend the Lodge to any and all.

This was our second stay at the Rusty Parrot. The location is perfect, making a rental car an unnecessary expense. The rooms are impeccable, allowing for luxuries such as a roaring romantic fire nightly lit for you by staff nightly within minutes of request or long soaks in the large tube solo or with a sig other. The beds allow for a perfect nights rest. The establishment has a quiet area to read, hot coffee/tea every morning and a sweet snack nightly. The hot tub on the balcony allows for beautiful night views and if you take care of the staff, they will happily deliver beverages to you there from the bar. All of this is upstaged by the professionalism and warmth of the staff. They know your name upon arrival and stand at attention each time you enter the lobby. They accommodate your every request and make you feel like royalty. This all was further proven to me after I was bumped from a flight and the airline booked me a night at another establishment in town. It was free so I agreed to stay. Within MINUTES I longed for the Parrot and often thought of ditching the free room and paying for the Parrot as it would have been worth it. I went back to the Parrot the next morning to again personally thank the staff and assure them that there was no other place I'd stay in Jackson Hole. FYI, I am not on staff there, nor have any other affiliation with the Rusty Parrot. I'm an ER physician in New Orleans and wanted to let all know that this place is worth every penny. And I rarely write reviews. I hope this helps.

We stayed five nights at the RPL. People were amazingly friendly/helpful from time we booked to time we departed, helping us with concierge services for all excursions, dining reservations, recommendations, transportation BEFORE, during and after our visit. Well staffed from front desk to bellmen, restaurant and cleaning services. Room was cozy, clean and comfortable. Common den/library on second floor had fireplace, leather couches/chairs, and 24/7 coffee, cider, cookies. Breakfasts and (one) dinner in the Wild Sage restaurant were delicious and prepared in the open kitchen, right in front of our eyes. Spa treatments were first class. Three block walk to square. Only downside was no on-site fitness center - but $10 day passes to a good fitness center one block walk from RPL - so we got our workouts in, reasonably conveniently. We will DEFINITELY stay here next time visiting Jackson - the PEOPLE hosting us made all the difference!

This was our second trip to ski at Jackson Hole and the second time we stayed at the Rusty Parrot. We obviously enjoyed our initial stay so much that we did not think twice about staying there again. The staff was excellent in suggesting restaurants and excursions. They are genuinely very friendly and a joy to be around
