The Rusty Parrot Lodge in Jackson, Wyoming

A member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the Rusty Parrot is Jackson's most acclaimed lodge. The hotel has earned a long list of awards and been featured in national and international publications. Like the town itself, the Rusty Parrot is a paradox: A family-run 32-room lodge that's one of the top small luxury hotels in the world. It caters to the traveler—not the tourist. The owners and staff delight in sharing inside information about the town and area they love. Their passion for Jackson Hole and personal attention to guests just isn't found at larger hotels. Earning the AAA Four-Diamond award for eighteen years in a row attests to that passion.

While each room at the Rusty Parrot is individually appointed, there are some aspects that are constant in every room: All have the finest linens, plush towels, soft terry robes and slippers, L'Occitane bath amenities, flat panel satellite television and free wireless internet. In a free-standing facility on the property you will find The Body Sage Spa home to some of the finest massage therapists and estheticians in the valley. Good food, good wine, good service and good company are all part of a great dining experience. Dinner at the Wild Sage offers a Jackson Hole perspective on fine dining and extraordinary hospitality. The 8 table, 32 seat Wild Sage offers exceptional regional cuisine rooted in classic preparation and incorporates the West’s finest and freshest meats, sustainable seafood, and organic produce and ingredients. And during your stay perhaps the owner will share the story on how the property got the name Rusty Parrot, since parrots are not the first thing you think of when planning a trip to Wyoming!

Beds are extremely comfortable (Seemed like a Temperpedic mattress, high quality sheets, ample sized towels). Housekeeping is at a high level. Daily fresh cookies that are so good you'll go off your diet! We ate at the inn's restaurant two evenings. It's expensive but we felt the chef was operating to a very high standard. Some people might think the portions small but we felt very comfortable with the meal size. We split the salad and dessert and were extremely happy. It was easy to just walk down to the restaurant in the evening after sitting up on the deck (a must) with a cocktail and listening to lovely jazz. We enjoyed the deck after dinner and some of the guests who we met. The front desk went out of their way to try to help my husband with a float trip, arranged our Teton Tour, and our van ride to airport. In 24 hrs the front desk staff knew our names. It was about a 3-4 block walk into town where there were many shops and restaurants. The only "Con" I have is a pet peeve. There was only one tiny towel bar in the bathroom that just barely held two hand towels. If you're not tossing the bath towels on the floor to be picked up by housekeeping you'll have towels hanging on curtain rods or over tub.

Everyone here so professional and friendly. Staff knows the area well and gives advice on the parks, places to go and eat. The hotel is immaculate. Rooms and beds are lovely. I highly recommend the Parrot.

I spent a week in this most glorious spot. This hotel is perfect for location and services. The rooms are very comfortable and I have never met kinder more helpful people than work in this hotel. Dinner in the Sage restaurant was delicious!

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel- staff was excellent- all our excursions and dinner reservations were taken care of prior to our arrival via email and were all good. Would recommend Eco-tours for state park tours- expensive but worth it. Room clean, bed comfortable with nice linens, smart tv, quiet location- park across street.

This was our 5th annual stay at the Rusty Parrot and we were just as happy with the experience this time as we were the 4 other times. The service, food and ambiance was great. Our 12 year old grandson said it was his favorite hotel--and we have had him in many nice ones. You can't do any better in Jackson Hole.
