The Rusty Parrot Lodge in Jackson, Wyoming

A member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the Rusty Parrot is Jackson's most acclaimed lodge. The hotel has earned a long list of awards and been featured in national and international publications. Like the town itself, the Rusty Parrot is a paradox: A family-run 32-room lodge that's one of the top small luxury hotels in the world. It caters to the traveler—not the tourist. The owners and staff delight in sharing inside information about the town and area they love. Their passion for Jackson Hole and personal attention to guests just isn't found at larger hotels. Earning the AAA Four-Diamond award for eighteen years in a row attests to that passion.

While each room at the Rusty Parrot is individually appointed, there are some aspects that are constant in every room: All have the finest linens, plush towels, soft terry robes and slippers, L'Occitane bath amenities, flat panel satellite television and free wireless internet. In a free-standing facility on the property you will find The Body Sage Spa home to some of the finest massage therapists and estheticians in the valley. Good food, good wine, good service and good company are all part of a great dining experience. Dinner at the Wild Sage offers a Jackson Hole perspective on fine dining and extraordinary hospitality. The 8 table, 32 seat Wild Sage offers exceptional regional cuisine rooted in classic preparation and incorporates the West’s finest and freshest meats, sustainable seafood, and organic produce and ingredients. And during your stay perhaps the owner will share the story on how the property got the name Rusty Parrot, since parrots are not the first thing you think of when planning a trip to Wyoming!

This was my first stay and the hotel came highly recommended from someone who has stayed here on several occasions. The rooms are cozy and well appointed - slippers, bathrobes and everything you need for a first rate experience. The coffee/tea/ and fresh cookie baked cookies were a welcome treat in the cozy sitting lounge. The restaurant exceeded both of our culinary expectations and I am now obsessed with the homemade bread served at dinner. And finally, the staff went well above and beyond the call of duty in making sure the items I left behind on my travels made it back safely to me prior to me leaving. I can't say enough good things about the Rusty Parrot. Thank you. We will be back!

The Rusty Parrot is a very nice boutique hotel. It has an amazing restaurant. It also has a few tastefully done nooks and crannies, a main floor bar/lounge, an upstairs library lounge, and a small outside hot tub and sitting area. They also have a spa that unfortunately I did not have time to partake of. It is a short walk to the main square for shopping, etc..

We love this property. Small and intimate.....beautifully appointed....feels like we are visiting old friends every time we step in the door. The restaurant on site is also one of our favorite restaurants anywhere. The staff goes above and beyond to please and help.

The staff was very courteous. They went over and above to satisfy our needs. I would highly recommend the Rusty Parrot Lodge and Spa. My daughter was visiting from California and she said she would be staying at the Rusty Parrot when she returns.

Without a doubt, our overall experience at the Rusty Parrot was one of the best we've had in our many travels, both domestic and international. The staff were incredibly friendly, always with a smile, and anxious to provide the highest quality of service before being asked. From ""Papa Bear" at reception to Peter (brought our luggage to the room as well as waited on us in the restaurant to the fella (don't remember his name--maybe a senior moment on my part-he walked the Appalachian Trail) who put a fire on in the room's fireplace---all were just neat, courteous people. This is a small boutique hotel with a number of comfortable, intimate seating areas throughout. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable; each night we found delicious (not your typically piece of candy) chocolate and a teddy bear in the room. There is a spa and outdoor fire pit, which Papa Bear lit for us without hesitation. Free parking is available on-site; the town square is a short 4-5 block walk. Oh almost forgot, each afternoon around 3pm some incredible cookies are put out near the third floor fireplace (and yes, there is always coffee and hot water for tea there as well). We ate breakfast at the restaurant and it was both plentiful and good. I didn't see an elevator but this may have been an oversight on my part. Finally --- here is a first for us----we asked what time is check-out and the response was, "what time do you need?" The Rusty Parrot is customer-centered and wants to insure the experience is nothing short of top-of-the-line. Without a doubt we recommend the Rusty Parrot to friends for a truly unique experience.
