Reviews for Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa
It was a pleasure to stay at such a lovely Hotel.. 10 out of 10. from start to finish nothing was to much trouble, the location and gardens where first class.. All the staff where excellent and the room outstanding.
This served the purpose. The bedroom was definitely the most positive asset as in both occasions, it was very big. As was the bathroom. On our first night, on arrival, we were shown to our bedroom and as our cases were been brought in, we were told that the suitcase already in our room was the previous client’s who had left it behind to be stored !! You would have thought they might have put it somewhere else! On our second visit the bathroom smelled horribly of cigarette smoke and we had to complain which was not pleasant. The evening didn’t improve by going to the bar, ordering a cocktail which took 45 minutes to arrive. Yes 45 minutes and there were 6 people in the bar during that time! Very poor. We then went into dinner carrying our cocktails and had a delicious dinner with pretty poor service and very long waiting between courses. We seemed to be served by a girl who didn’t seem to know what she was doing at all. I felt quite sorry for her. It was as if she had never done this job before, she seemed totally unsure of where to put the wine, the water, the bread etc and we only had one fork and one of the napkins was missing. Shoddy set up. The hotel seems to cater for a lot of business people rather than couples on a trip and we would not return as we prefer somewhere where the service reflects the price and attention to detail is important.

hotel is gated and safe, room was huge, clean, and very considerately designed. dinner was reasonably priced and good everything was beautiful. about 25 min away from the airport. the only thing is, i was told at check-in that the fitness center is 24h, you just need your room key to access it, but when i went there around 9:30pm, it's locked & dark, and there's no one close to open the door for me.

2 nights spent at this hotel was a welcome relief from our previous 6 nights in Bush Camps in Kruger National Park. The grounds, décor and buildings is faultless. Rooms are very quiet and clean, the staff are welcoming and friendly. We ate in the restaurant for all of our meals and they were delicious.

Fairlawns Hotel experience was nothing short of absolute bliss. My hubby and I both felt it was the perfect choice for a quick romantic getaway. The hotel is truly an oasis in the city! Thank you for the superb hospitality, nothing was missing to make our weekend perfect!
