The location of the Four Seasons is just stunning! the view is magnificent. The grandeur of the Four Seasons standard is felt however not on all levels. The service is top notch reception staff is friendly and helpful and will that extra you expect from the FS unfortunately thats were is stops the other staff is unable to set the Four seasons apart from any other top range hotel in J'burg. Rooms are good not excellent. Restaurant is just below Four Seasons standard. Food is average hotel food service is average menu is dull. All stay was pleasant and apart from the restaurants (both) a definite come back to enjoy the view.

This Four Seasons has big bedrooms and luxurious bathrooms and the linens are all crisp white and smell fresh. WiFi works everywhere and the complimentary wifi is good enough. Lots of plugs to charge all your devices. They upgraded us to a premium room with a nice sit out that was adjacent to a heated pool. The two restaurants on the property are both excellent plus they have a nice deli. Did not get to use the spa but the spa looks nice. Staff is warm and friendly and not stuffy. Uber is allowed. The only detractions are it's on a hill so a bit of up and down to get around and the other thing is that it is not a quick walk to anything else. But we loved our stay here

We chose the hotel for a stopover to connect with our flight back to the UK so to be honest did not have enough time to really appreciate the hotel. The location is great and the hotel very beautiful. We briefly used the spa pool on our last morning which was lovely - pool a bit chilly though as winnter and "heating" was not quite what we had hopes - still woke us up! Our dissapointment was with our rooming. We had three kids with us and were given "adjacent rooms" which were however in a seperate building and down 4 flights of steps to a dead end corredor that felt like it was in the basement - and this was the best they could do so very unsatisfactory. Also attention to detail was pooor as they gave the kids one king size bed. Every other hoteol we used on this trip catered so well for kids so this was dissapointing. The third bed was made up from a sofa - alledgely a sofa bed but all they did was revone the cusions from the back of the sofa - not great. Our room had a few defects such as the shower not working - not what I would expect of a hotel of this standard. Finally our dining experience was not great. We were served by a lady with very poor english who we just could not make ourselves understood to and she got our order slightly wrong - it was close enough so we just got on with it as tiered, The rest of the staff in the restaurant were really great though So sorry if this sounds negative - maybe a different experience for couples but for a family based on our experience I just could not recomend it

Lovely hotel, quality of rooms and service excellent. We have stayed here on two occasions in different rooms, both were the same high standard. Everything had been thought about, USB chargers in sensible places plus fruit, water and good coffee in the rooms.

Lovely location with excellent staff and good facilities. Spacious comfortable rooms. Excellent food. Ideal location for visiting Johannesburg for business and pleasure. We found the Hotel Car service to be absolutely excellent but it is certainly cheaper to use the very good, fast and reliable Uber Taxi app which is easy to download and use- much safer and efficient than local metered Taxis.
