My 2 sons and I stayed at the Four Seasons Johannesburg in late June and early July. We used the hotel as our home base as we did a safari in Madikwe and then visited the Seychelle Islands. The staff here was wonderful and frequently made us feel like we were in a White Lotus episode as they always lined up to greet us and to say goodbye. A special shout out to Adam, Mpho and Precious at the font desk for always ensuring that our stay was perfect and Ayanda who gave terrific service at the coffee lounge. The breakfast buffet was amazing with a variety of fresh and tasty items- an egg station, waffle/crepe station, hot American breakfast entrees, meats and cheeses, tasty pastries and breads, a wide selection of yoghurts and cereals. We also asked for the Four Seasons to provide pickup and dropoff to the airport as well as a driver for our4.5 hr ride to Madikwe and all the drivers were wonderful and safe. But a special should out to Rabinda who drove us most of the time. He always made us feel safe and engaged in the most interesting conversations with us which made the time pass quickly! Thank you Rabinda for doing such a fantastic job. Loved our whole experience here.

Our stay at the Four Seasons Johannesburg was shorter than we’d planned, thanks to a flight cancellation that cut our time here down, but even in that brief window the hotel made a wonderful impression. The staff were the highlight. With our plans thrown into disarray, they were super helpful and genuinely kind, and that sort of warmth and flexibility means everything when travel goes sideways. It’s exactly the kind of care you hope for from a Four Seasons, and they delivered. The property itself is beautiful, and breakfast was incredible. It was one of those spreads that makes you wish you had more mornings to enjoy it, which only added to our disappointment at having to leave early. We didn’t get nearly enough time here to experience everything the hotel has to offer, but what we saw left us wanting to come back and do it properly. Based on the beauty of the property, the quality of the food, and above all the graciousness of the team, we’d happily return.

We started our 3 week trip of Africa here, stayed for three nights and were delighted with our choice. Flames restaurant is fabulous - every meal we had here was superb and the breakfasts were amazing. Our panoramic view hotel room was lovely and there were lots of welcome treats on arrival. Flowers were delivered to the room shortly after checking in which made it feel very personal. Every member of staff we came across were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. Would have been very happy to spend a few more days here.

This beautiful, elegant hotel situated on Jan Smuts Avenue is close to Sandton, Rosebank and Hyde Park Corner, and so is very convenient for everywhere you want to go in Johannesburg. Concierge and Reception were excellent at check in and check out and throughout our stay. The hotel is arranged on the hillside so a golf buggy service is provided. This is super quick and very responsive on WhatsApp (and charming and friendly staff too). We booked a panorama room, very nicely appointed and very comfortable. Also some lovely welcoming touches which we enjoyed. All the usual amenities you expect from a hotel in this category, even a shoe cleaning service. We used the gym and heated outdoor pool, plus sauna and steam room in the spa. Well worth an hour or two in a busy schedule. We dined at Flames Restaurant in the evening and our guests all declared the meal excellent. Breakfast was very good, opting for either a hot and cold buffet or the Signature cooked dishes, included in our room rate. Service was fabulous throughout. The Westcliff did not disappoint.
